- Me and @ModelA drove almost 800 miles to get to Carson City, Nevada at speeds over 55 mph in our 1931 Ford Model A Sports Coupe so we could attend the 2024 NCRG (Northern California Regional Group) and boy did we have fun!
Lots of fun stuff to share with you and hopefully if you don’t belong to a Model A club yet, this will help you realize how fun they can be!
There was so much more, but I don’t want the video to be too long lol, Virginia City was my favorite place to visit, a real big old historic western town that seems to be in the middle of no where and the town folks have big hearts! #fordmodela #femalemechanic #carsoncitynevada #travelvlog
Nice and fun tripp in a very Nice Ford.😎👍
Cars looking good, Paul Tina, your smile tears me up. Bill.
Tina that looks like so much fun, thanks for sharing. My 11 year old would get a kick out of doing all the games.
Those of us who enjoy our hobbies with our spouse are sooo fortunate! Every time I fire up my old Landy my wife wants to go along. Old, dusty, hot ,noisy and uncomfortable, she still loves to ride along.
I’m a lucky guy.👌
Great channel👌
So wonderful 🥰😍🥳
You both have earned your Model A merit badge!!! Thank you both for sharing your Model A adventures.
That’s awesome 🥳 thank you so much for joining us! Have an awesome weekend!
Well, you did it again!
I see when you got to hotels parking lot must of the shade was being utilized.
Last summer we were able to go there Virginia City. We liked how the locals dressed in costumes of dancehall girls and sheriffs. It was a lot more fun than the Virginia City that was on Bonanza.
Thanks for the video😃
See ya down a country road
Steve and Leah
Great Adventure!
Ya, not much shade there for sure lol
We would have loved to spend more time in Virginia city and check out more, maybe another time! Take care and God bless your weekend!
Cowsills Flower girl Jerry Fielding style. Loved it! Gotta watch The Enforcer tonite.
Lol, thanks! Have a great weekend 💕
You guys makes me wanting an A - always entertaining in a cozy manner 👍
I hope you get your A someday, thank you so much 💕
Hei Paul you every time let me and us here laugh “ keep driving like you know how to fix it” 😊, where did you came with that slogan hahaha.

My little helper 😂 that always cracks me up! Thank you and happy daddy’s day to you also! ♥️

Thank you for joining us 💕🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing T
Thanks for joining us 💗
That parking lot! ❤. I love only one woman, but many Model As. Your A handled the mountains like speed bumps, well driven. (About the time you were taking this trip, we were on the other side of the country going through the mountains). Thank you as always for taking us along on these trips. To see so many things we might not get to firsthand is awesome. Have a blessed week ~ Chuck
You’re awesome Chuck, thank you! Have a beautiful and blessed weekend 💗
Muy bueno! muy linda salida, muy divertida!
Thank you 💗
A great trip and a great motel room. The A did a marvelous job. You guys did too. It's a long drive. WOW! Look at all those As in the parking lot & they're original(no chopped up hotrods). All of them are very stylish in their own right. P.S. Thanks for letting us in on the fun. And you are welcome for the veteran thank you from this Navy vet.
I love your comment, thank you ♥️🇺🇸
I love the color scheme on your A.
It looks to be midnight blue with black fenders?🧐
Awesome trip!
Thanks! Yes, basically in today’s color call choices it compares to a midnight blue, but in the sun it has a tone of purple.
What a haul!
I haven’t been to Virginia City since I was probably 6 over 60 years ago, I still have a Bucket of Blood Saloon 3-D key chain.
Wow!
Hi Friends! Thanks for more GREAT coverage of that Amazing trip! Have a great weekend!
Thanks, have a wonderful weekend 💗
Nice ride thanks Paul and Tina!
Thanks for coming along!
What a fantastic trip you had! Thanks for bringing us along!!! 😃👍
Thank you for joining us! 💗
Without a Mitchell OD, my favorite song is, "I can't drive, fifty-five!!"
Thanks Sammy! And Thank You, model T!!
Lol, there used to be a sign on our country road on a fence that said, “I can’t drive”, and about 8 ft away was a 55 mph limit sign, I cracked up every time we passed by, they took the sign off of the fence now, bummer.
Aren't you glad we don't have the 35 mph limit my Dad talked about during WWII. It had nothing to do with gas.
I'm always ready for your next video.
Y'all are my Heroes.
Lol, 35 is so slow, I think I’ve gotten too impatient in my old age 😂 Thank you so much 💕 have a wonderful weekend!
Btw, gas is $2.87 in North Texas.
Paul, it looked like many had non-standard tires. Most looked like radials. Is there a huge improvement over the OEM tires. Thoughts?
@@user-ty3vd8qr5j wow the gas prices are so much better there!!!
Hey good for you guys, Glad to see your enjoying the little car. That road trip looks like so much fun. Plus, meeting other people and seeing their cars as well. Super cool
Thanks for joining us, have an awesome weekend! 💗
The official start of our season starts today and ends on Sunday. Motor Muster at Greenfield Village is all weekend. Today is wash up the Studebaker, load up almost everything and drive to Dearborn and set up inside the Village. Planning food and beverages for the weekend and plan for extras for visitors we only see once a year at this show. Last year we were split with inquiries, half had questions on the car, the other half were interested in our Zenith Transoceanic radio. It needs restoration but looks good as a prop. I use a bluetooth speaker connected to our XM Sirris and played old radio programs and music. I've been walking more so we'll see how this year plays out. Glad you had a good time, car shows like these make it all worth while. See you on the flipside. 73 and 88 Tina and Paul de N8IWS and N8KIG.
That sounds like a lot of fun!! I hope you have an awesome time! 💗🥳
Great job guys can't wait till the next video
Thank you, have an awesome day and weekend 💗
All of my first four cars from the 60s and 70s were carburated with points and condenser ignition. I kept them tuned up and never had one break down on me. The Model A's will go and go. Thanks for the tour with the beautiful forest drive.
PS, is Paul using his .us email address? a few days ago I received a very long (multiple paragraphs) and rambling message that didn't sound like him unless he had been drinking lol. I didn't respond and deleted it. Take care.
That’s awesome! Thank you 💗 Yes, he hasn’t changed his email so not sure what that was all about…definitely not due to alcohol 😂😂
@@Modeltshinn Nowadays you never know if you can trust what you see. Have fun with the model A's.
@@Go4Corvette when it comes to technology, most definitely!
Are there any records about, what distances people used to drive with a Model A when they were new and in production?
Because I believe, these cars can take longer drives.
Here in Europe, after the war when the life was back to almost normal, losts of people even travelled with a 30 horsepower beetle over the Alpes down to Italy, And you cannot say a Volkswagen Beetle back then was a complicate and very powerful car. So I think, these cars could bear much more than we want to give them credit for, in 2024.
I’d have to do some research to know true numbers but I know that we have friends that have traveled across the country in their A’s, these vehicles especially when sorted are super reliable and tough 💗
good lord I can't wait till I can get an A to daily drive. Paul and Tina yall are the best. Hey long shot but would yall trade and A for a '51 Rover from New Zealand? :)
You will have fun once you’re able! That is a long shot for sure, thank you, but we are Model A forever 💗 have a wonderful day!
What type of engine, transmission and or overdrive in the sport coupe?
Is there an over drive trans in your coupe.
Yes, a Mitchell overdrive, works great!
What is the highest mph printed on a Model A speedometer?
Now i want to visit Virginia City in contrast to Commiefornia.
Commiefornia 😂😂😂 good one!
Does your car have a high compression head?
Nope, it doesn’t 😁
@@Modeltshinn how does it go to 55 and 60 mph?
@@truthreigns7 between him sorting it and a Mitchell overdrive it’s possible to drive a Model A with modern traffic for the most part anyway…people drive crazy and way too fast, like they are all driving for an emergency.
@@Modeltshinn ok, yes i had forgotten the Mitchell overdrive. I like the extension dipstick for the original trans that Mitchell makes.
Yes as the song goes, people are crazy.
Paul, just a note re: your videos.......gentle, kind, happy, a loving couple together a rather rare thing these days, or so it would seem. And on top of it all sharing your deep knowlage of another gentle part of American (World) history.......Ford Model A's. Thank you both ery much
So sweet, thank you so much! It’s easy when you’re spouse is your very best friend ♥️
Chocolate and model A's ,what a country. PATRIOTS.
Hi Dean 💗💕 Yes, super awesome! ♥️🇺🇸 Have a beautiful and blessed weekend!
