This is a wonderful card. It would be great for a Valentine with the hearts on the envelopes. I don't ever think about masking, but I really should do more. This is why I watch RUclips videos; I'm not very good at thinking outside the box. Or the envelope.
I wasn't either for a while until I just sat with my stuff sometimes and just stared at it. That helps me in the creative process, but so does Pinterest. haha

Super cute card! I’m looking forward to your color combos. It will be convenient to have them all in 1 place. Typically, I build my combos as I color. So, I’ll have a panel (same paper as I’m coloring on) and I’ll swatch as I go... when I find what I want, I’ll write the “color formula” beside it. When I’m done, I have a swatched panel of colors and marker numbers that I tuck inside the pocket for that stamp set. I guess it will help if I ever want to recolor something again 🤷🏼♀️

Lol, I just had to see what you'd done to your mat:) You can sort of repair it by using a white pigment pen to replace the lines. I knew what you had used, as soon as I saw the blob..annoying when you do something like that to a new item. Sakura do a great sparkle pen that has no colour, great alternative to stickles.

What a bummer what happened to your mat. It still works so that’s a plus. I loved all the cards you showed at the beginning of the video. So very sorry about your mat. The card is bright, fun, and refreshing. Great for winter time weather when everything looks dead outside. You brightened our day. I really am tempted to get this marker line but no refills has me waiting. The brush nibs are fantastic
Karla, I wonder if they will release refills. I imagine they would raise the price a bit if so. My plan is to by another brand of alcohol marker refill when i need to. I've tested so many markers and they all do the same thing; tricky figuring out which one will be the right color though.
I know a lot of people have started with the brand, Ohuhu. When what I consider to be my needed colors, I purchased the one touch because their refills are like .35$ and I love them. Then I saw a video from Lydia whose youtube channel is Understand Blue. She had found a marker line Graff'it that offers refills and are brush nib on one end, and like a felt tip on the other. In this style they have about 90 colors. I was so excited. I am no pro though but they had a sale go on for 25% off and with much begging and pleading hubby got them for me. I am on disability so could never have purchased them on my own. They are literally like a dream to work with. I have not needed to purchase any refills yet, but knowing I can, gives me a peace. Since that time though a friend who is a Stampin up demo did a video on how to refill their color blends line, Normally when I purchase an ink that I want, I buy the refill bottle and make a cube with it. This cost far less and and easier to store. Plus I find them easier to use when I ink a stamp in my stamp platform. I don't mean I have to have everything in a bargain brand, but I do appreciate when I can get a top line product at a good price. I do buy stamps from China, but I know my supplier and she has quality product, so gets most of my orders. She has her own designs/line in several areas. I am not the type who needs every stamp that is avail but I have a dear friend who has everything Stampin Up comes out with. That is just more than I will ever need even though I make as many cards as possible for cancer patients each year. That is my mission since I am disabled and bed bound now, and it helps me to feel useful. My husband delivers them to the cancer center at Emory for me. I don't do it for attention, just to be useful in some way. In the past I offered prizes to try to get other crafters to donate cards as well. However the last 2 yrs I spent way more money on prizes than anything as I only recieved 10-20 cards from those who contributed and I just had to stop doing that. Last yr I had not recieved hardly any donation so I pushed myself to make as many as I possibly could and finished over 1600 cards in 2 months. Wow I was tired. So this year I will try to make as many as is ok with my health problems, every month. The nurses in the cancer ward have sent me the sweetest notes about the patients enjoying them and it made all the effort worth it.
So if you know anyone willing to contribute cards let me know and I'll give you an address where they can ship to Cards for Cancer.. 💗😘

I recently bought expensive bristol paper, and indeed colouring works also with cheap markers on that!

Super cute card. The binder you have for your stencils is a 6x4 correct? How many papers can it hold? I have all my stencils in a scrapbook, but have a lot of Project Life binders that I no longer use
It's actually a 6x8; I linked it below the video under the TOOLS section if you want to have a closer look. It can hold a LOT of the page protectors, I think i have almost 30 in one of them.

Where do you get the storage sleeves for the stencils?
I have seen your reviews on the Ohuhu markers. I am planning on buying a large set of them . I am new to coloring with markers. I am trying to decide between the brush tip or chisel tip.
The brush tip comes with the chisel tip as well. But did you mean bullet tip or brush tip? That's a hard choice. You get more markers with the 200 bullet set (I have both sets and love them both).

Catywhomus I believe means off kilter. So not really diagonal. Thank you for talking about Ohuhu markers, maybe you could talk about the refills/comparison to Copic do you get generic refills or Copic?
I haven't had a need for refills yet but I would absolutely consider any of the alcohol marker refills because to me, they are so comparable in quality.
Lovely card. I would say “wonky” too - in 🇬🇧 if you have a paint pen could you draw in the lines on your mat? Hopefully it wouldn’t be too noticeable 🤞

I have the old bullet tip Ohuhu markers but have found with dismay that at least a third are dry after a year of little use. (My small Copic stash are still dandy) Any one aware if the brush markers suffer from this?
Oh that stinks; if you don't already, store them flat and not standing up
also don't use orange cleaner from the dollar store. Not only did it remove the white lines from my craft mat, it also took the color off my expensive leather chair that I've had for years. Makes you wonder what's in it.
