I would love to see you do Pluto, now we all know it isn't classed as a planet anymore, but I can just imagine they would have a broken crown and still seem to try and hold onto whatever type of royal title as a planet they had. (Besides that I love these designs, please keep it up. X3)

i love imagining tiny mercury hanging out with their fellow gods and goddesses who are HUGEEEE compared to them. Also i think it would be a fun idea if the dwarf planets where demigods, but pluto being a god dog sounds a lot more cool.

Is Greek equivalent, Hades has a dog named Cerberus so I’d imagine either Pluto was Cerberus or had a dog named Cerberus as his moon.

For Mercury - Herme' - french version of Hermes
For Venus - Ourania - which means heavenly
For earth - Dunia - Swahili for Earth
oooo Dunia also means world in Malay (just thought it was interesting)
it also means Earth in Urdu, Punjabi and I think in Arabic it means world like the whole universe

fun fact: it is believed white hole actually come from black holes. black holes suck in all the energy, and then barf it all up in one big explosion of energy which fucks up the balance of energy in space which then creates a black hole again!!
(note: take it with a grain of salt, this is just from what I remember seeing in a youtube video once)

well, there are various and rather valid reasons for why that is. pluto is a dwarf planet, so its not completely different

I have a strange request. I love your art and I am stunned by your planets into goddesses series. I'm a self-taught seamstress who likes to make custom fabric out of different designs. Once you finish your series, if you're interested, I'd love to work something out to purchase a copy of the designs to turn into fabric for a dress! The colors you used for all of them are so good!! I wanted to say that Mercury gives me the vibe that they participate in war? Depending on what you do with Mars, I can see Mercury being a scout or strategist with Mars in whatever, space wars, there are. Earth and Venus on the other hand seem much more interested in just living a happy life, i think Venus unashamedly likes to watch drama unfold, and maybe its a guilty pleasure of Earth on occasion. Despite preferring peace, Earth def seems the type to have learned how to fight with various weapons, being versatile and useful in a fight if she wished to partake in one, maybe she is a retied vet of sorts?
Mercury rules my zodiac (Gemini), so I'm probably biased, but they're my favorite. The fact that they're non-binary is so perfect!

Also I was a little surprised that for Mercury you didn’t feel any inclination to look into the rock god that is Freddie fucking Mercury for design inspiration to add onto the nb energy you gave them (which I still appreciate being enby myself) for the clothes since the man could radiate both feminine energy (70’s) and masculine energy (80’s) in the span of two decades. I still love the design regardless! :3

Your Earth and Venus give off "hot'n'cold sibling dynamic" vibes. One is fiery and impulsive🔥 and the other is calm and collected💧(or maybe it's opposite to the looks?👀👀👀)

These designed are sooo cool, Earth’s design is my favorite too. I love the look of the dress, it makes me think of the ocean’s waves and I absolutely love that you made the moon a lil owl companion cuz I love owls, and also cuz it plays on the fact that there’s life on Earth
I feel like earth would always be telling everybody Venus's secrets and then she would get angry. Venus is also associated with beauty, so maybe venus would get kind of aragant sometimes, and also idk why but i also feel like she would act kinda sly

Ok, so my idea is each character is a representative of their planet, not the planet itself. When the planets were created they were as well. Each one is their planets protector, and guardian with their own powers. Stars and stuff also have something like this, but slightly different. The universe has a council of sorts, composed of stars, planets, and others who try to keep the peace between everyone. Of course there are those who go against the council, trying to destroy or take over. That’s all I have for now, what do you think?

You should design characters based on different nebulas. They’re all super unique and pretty. My favorite is the butterfly nebula because it has absolutely GORGEOUS colors.
Story pitch💖☺️: Being apart of the council of the Milkyway is no easy task. Earth and Venus are far more experienced although bored with their life consuming duties. Earth is soothingly gentle although unheard due to her condition slowly getting worse in health, but she never lets that stop her. While Venus aggressively takes charge of most if not every discussion amongst the others, a bit of a stickler(although badass nonetheless)So when vibrant, ex star fighter Mercury joins said council they’re surprised to say the least. Now, Mercury born into royalty just like the rest must actually adjust to the life of exuberance while having to make decisions that change the cosmos. Welcome to the complicated, oversaturated, pompous world of the council. Will Mercury who has always rejected their inheritance to venture actually adjust to this new life or fumble before true royalty? Perhaps they will bring excitement and change to the council itself! Show them the lives they affect amongst the many stars that try their best to simply avoid them, or help them embrace the darkness all the same that swallows them but has a civilization all its own!

About the names I feel like "Terra" instead of Earth would fit a bit more with the rest of the planet names. And it also just means Earth in different lamguages

I'm a Taurus so I got real excited about Venus- Also I'm thrilled about Mars bc I'm also on the Aries cusp- also outside of Astrology and going into actual science, Venus is literally so cool- It had the potential to once host life but got real fucked up from climate change

They all look amazing, Mercury looks like thay could a JoJo character and I love it.
I would like to think that Venus sees Mercury as a younger sibling. Like she judges their outfit choices and helps them with stuff like that. Earth seems like she would be the more caregiver sister. Like, the parents are kinda absent or have too much work so Earth had too learn to cook and take care of her siblings. For a future episode I think Saturn and Uranus should have like- a familial rivalry or something? Like they both hate each other but they are family. And Jupiter just kinda hangs out with them. Pluto and Neptune are super chill(haha get it? Cuz they’re the coldest planets). Venus and Mars are kind of a couple but Earth keeps stopping that. Mercury and Pluto don’t really talk much but when they do they get along really well.
I have an idea for Mars. So you made Earth's moon a snowy-owl. Maybe Mars's two moons, Phobos and Deimos, can be ravens. I feel like that would look awesome.
Mercury feels to me like the 'forgotten sibling' type dynamic and is considered boring so they compensate with bright colours and bold fashion choices
Venus seems like one of the older ones in the group and takes care of the younger members but she feels like she doesn't make time for herself; others see her as beautiful and can't see that she is anxious and insecure
earth is the beloved member and takes care of venus when she's down and they have very close relationship and rely on one another a lot

It’s been a while since I’ve been learning about planets and there very interesting. Your illustration is amazing and I been struggling with Procreate a little bit. I’m not professional digital artist lol. I’m used to doing traditional art. When I watch different artist and you, it helps me to understand and learn more.
Earth is my favorite character I've ever seen from you. She so gorgeous.
Maybe the sisters' mom is the Sun and she put a lot of pressure on them, and said one had to be like the other. The sister kept on trying to impress the Sun, but it was never enough so she rebelled and became her own planet. That gave her success as a planet, and her mother started respecting her for that, but it was conditional.

I imagine Earth would be very calm and rally in the other planets when they are getting out of control during discussions about space meeting shtuff. Which would create a rather wonderful moment when Earth gets to her limit and gets mad, cause when she's mad she gets MAD.
Mercury would probably be confident and walk into places with an elaborate "im-better-than-you" stance, when really they are pretty self-conscious when they let down their guard. GASP when they are confident the colors that you used in your rendition could show and when they are upset or vulnerable they could turn into that natural grey seen in most photos~!
Venus would probably create elaborate plans for the team of planets that usually get ignored or knocked down immediately; but when you listen to this QUEEN's plans they usually end up very successful (to the annoyance of the other planets). She's probably also very flirtatious and creates drama which can be an issue when her plans are 99% successful.
i imagine that in the dark, little spots in earth's gown glow like populated land does when seen from space. it'd look really cool idk

I can really imagine earth being the gentle, wise but naive big sister and venus protecting her with CHAOS and FIRE. Maybe they Reign together or at least "share an Office" of some Sorts. I also See venus in a polyamorous relationship, maybe with Mercury...but they likely keep the role of the mythological god and deliver messages of some Sorts...they could be a space infouencer always checking trends and share Drama through their sci fi glasses...

Okay, I’ve come up with a bunch of character dynamics: Mercury, Venus, and the Earth are related, and there’s always some drama going on at their house. Black hole and white hole are twins, and white hole is a prankster, while black hole is able to get rid of the evidence. Pluto is the innocent one, who has a bunch of siblings (the other draws planets) and if you mees with them, Pluto will fight you and win.
I generally love mythology and love your designs and love art and writing so imma make some backstory.
Mercury- Other than being the god of message and trade they are the personification of Mercury the planet. They shift between the name Hermes and Mercury. they are pretty friendly and love to dress up in stylish fashion. They are friends with almost everyone and stirring up drama at times. They often take messages between the gods. They trade a ton too you can find them doing the paper clip challenge 😂.
Venus the goddess of love and personification of Venus. They are a loner but she sometimes talks to her sister, Earth. She’s been named many names, Eros, Aphrodite, Venus etc. but she prefers to just live in a nice hot fire and watch cheesy romance stories provided by her sister. Though she does sometimes take things into her own hands and having impressive archery skills she shoots arrows of love from afar and watches what happens. Her sister will often scold her for it although.
Earth, the most creative of them all. She created irreplaceable life forms. She is strong surviving wars and many other things. Almost everyone loves her and would do anything to protect her. She has a son named Moon. He can shift forms but often perched on her shoulder as a owl. He is quite small and a loyal servant to his mother.

I love your intro space tangent because I too think about space a lot and I'm not great at physics except for astrophysics, for some reason, astrophysics makes sense to me.
My first thought is that... even though you struggled with Mercury, if you put their design in a lineup of Planet Character Designs, I would immediately clock it as Mercury.
I would love to see allllll of your design ideas for "Celestial Objects." If I had to suggest one, I would say do Charon, which is one of Pluto's moons, the largest moon, and is essentially considered to be in a binary system with Pluto. Kind of like Pluto's twin. They have an interesting history, speculated to be very similar to the widely accepted collission theory of our own Moon. It's thought that a Mars-sized object hit Pluto and launched a large fragment into it's orbit, forming Charon.

I’m so glad Pluto isn’t being left out! Their shall be no Pluto slander.
Also if you want “more” Ceres is likely the next best characterized dwarf planet. Existing in the asteroid belt and containing about a third of mass In the belt. It has some other stuff too.
All of the following is lighthearted and well-intentioned:
I study astronomy at uni and my prof gave us a really good justification for leaving Pluto out. As you said, there are many, many other dwarf planets and objects that we didn’t know existed when Pluto was first classified as a planet. The reason they “kicked Pluto out” is that by the definition of planet at the time, the dozens of Pluto-like objects being discovered would all have to be considered planets as well. The line had to be drawn somewhere, and it’s either eight planets or dozens (my planetary astronomy course would’ve been so much harder if I had to memorize stats about that many planets lmao). My professor also has said “well, what’s wrong with being a dwarf planet?” Pluto and Ceres are two of the coolest objects in the solar system! Dwarf planets are so epic and just because academics don’t consider Pluto a planet doesn’t mean they don’t study it any less or find it any more important.
So, for good reason, Pluto is not a planet… but in my opinion, stating that fact isn’t “Pluto slander,” because that makes it a dwarf planet and a Kuiper Belt object, two really cool things to be!
Hopefully I’ve convinced you to see the Pluto issue in a new light ;)

I looooove your work! One thing I noticed that takes my art to the next level is adding lens flare at mid opacity to the lightest parts of the portrait! It helps with bringing more value to the brightest parts and can even help with light-up effects! Would be cool to see some of those light up your work! Hope this helps!
Also: for names- combining the planet with the Greek god counterparts??

I feel like Pluto would be a child or just someone who’s real short and innocent. Whether they were a child or a shortie they were completely crushed when they got kicked out of the planet group.
Ok just because I personally want this & it would be cool, can you give all of them animal companions based on how many moons they have? Like... Earth ain't special just because we have a moon, some planets have multiple, and it'd be awesome to see like 4 little arctic foxes or something all just chilling

Hmm, I feel like they would all have meeting in a really cool room with a really tall ceiling that fades from a whitish color on the bottom to black with sparkles and stuff on the top with drapes coming from the ceiling and if you don't turn the sun into a character make it a giant light in the center of the ceiling and a giant table in the middle where they all talk! I think that sounds cool, also I really like your art! And I'm slightly jealous of how you shade lol

I could see Mercury using their planet's closeness to the sun and barren surface to accentuate their own fabulous wardrobe. Venus the planet being insanely superheated, volcanic, and hostile underneath a thick veil of clouds gives me the vibes of someone who seems chill but throws parties that shake their house.
If anyone wants inspiration for sci-fi settings, look up how we could potentially colonize planets in our solar system. One idea for mercury is that since it's day length is roughly 2 of it's years, a city on it could be built on a track to continually stay in the most habitable zone. A touch of fantasy and you have a train city of twilight continually chasing the horizon

Names for sisters Venus and Earth
Earth - Avani (+owl - Luan)
Venus - Zorina
I will now explain
Avani because it simply means earth, and Luan means moon, both pretty straight up but they sounded whimsical
I went with Zorina since Venus is both the morning and evening star so dawn is kinda in the middle and due to her colour I thought it was fitting since Zorina means “golden dawn”
I'm sorry I assume you probably know already of Holst's Planets but I haaave to mention it here! The vibes he gives to all the planets are just perfect, and he balanced that ethereal feel with a futuristic one perfectly. It was also a big inspiration for the soundtrack of Star Wars! I love it so much, so I just hope this gives you more inspo:) People were fangirling about planets from the start and it never stopped, and I just love that😄

wow! I've had this idea too, I've just never gotten around to it. I think the pantheon structure was pretty similar too, but with the sun as a parent rather than a ruler!
