Actual tips from someone with a 6 head, it took me some experience and time to figure this out but it helps soo much: 1. Curtain bangs. Cutting Korean/Chinese curtain bangs even if it doesn’t seem like something big, makes a HUGE difference. If you’re lazy, it doesn’t take long to style at all (at least for me), all you have to do is take a roller, and roll your bangs up ROLL IT INWARDS TOWARD YOUR FACE.Just do this, put in a clip so it doesn’t fall off, and leave it overnight, but make sure you put as much of your bangs as possible on the roller, otherwise the curl will be too big to tuck behind the ears. Also, the roots where your hair grows are gonna pop up a bit (if that makes sense), which makes your head look longer so just wet the roots a little bit so the top is almost flat on your head. Your hair will get messed up and come out behind the ears sometimes, especially in wind, so what I like to do is just make sure the hair is almost touching the tail of my eyebrows (sorry if this doesn’t make sense). 2. If you decide to cut full on bangs, don’t cut it very thick. It will look bad and will be difficult to grow out if it doesn’t suit you. Remember that bangs doesn’t suit everyone. Instead, cut Korean see-through bangs (you can Google it if you don’t know what this is), they look a lot more cute, natural, and beautiful. When you cut these bangs, cut up to the eyelid first, because you may want to curl it a bit for a nicer look, which will shorten it. Cutting your bangs too short is a huge mess, and cutting them like this can make your hair more versatile if the bangs don’t suit you. 3. Tying a ponytail can actually look good, you just need to do it right. So you know how when you tie a ponytail, there’s like a little part where you can see your skin, and some parts of your hairline? (I’m not really good at explaining, sorry) When you tie up a ponytail, first leave 2 pieces of hair (normal hair, not your bangs, although you should also leave out your bangs.) It’s gonna look weird at first but trust me. When you’ve tied your hair up, take those 2 strands on the sides, and pin them under your ponytail, placing them to cover the skin spots. It’s hard to explain, but there is a video explaining here: ruclips.net/video/FOQPJxtgUkw/видео.html Also, cutting fake baby hairs or that little piece of hair Daki from demon slayer has above her ears (just Google it) makes it look a lot prettier. 4. This doesn’t actually make a big difference to the forehead itself, so you don’t really need it, but goddess waves make your face look smaller, plus it’s pretty. Please find videos on how it do Korean goddess waves, because a wave that’s too exaggerated can look unflattering and artificial. However, I don’t recommend doing this everyday, because if you are using a heat tool it can cause a lot of damage, and if you’re putting in rollers every night, it can be uncomfortable to sleep in. It’s very beautiful for special occasions though! Thank you for your attention, I hope this helped you like it helped me! I know many people tell you just to embrace it, but it’s not as easy as they think. Even though a big forehead isn’t something to be ashamed of, everybody feels insecure, but I like to remember I’ve inherited this from my parents who worked very hard to raise me Actual tips from someone with a 6 head, it took me some experience and time to figure this out but it helps soo much: 1. I appreciate all the god job you are doing thank you .
Girl, you just made me realize my forehead is not that huge, I did the proportions and it was actually smaller than one of the other 2 proportions. Also, you literally are the first person ever to make me not feel insecure about my forehead with the way you are talking. Thank you!
I think big foreheads give a Disney princess look specifically the dolls, very young looking. If you look at how to draw youthful faces the forehead is usually larger. QOVES Studio RUclips channel, video called ‘Facial Neoteny, youthfulness and baby-faced features, what makes a face attractive Ep. 5’ kinda explains the larger forehead at earlier developmental stages.
my forehead is quite prominent, but no so huge as I was told. When I was a child, my school friends made laugh on me because of this feature, and even once I was called "lobster". It took me quite a time to feel free to style my hair like I want or to wear hats (my face is rectangular in its shape). But now I'm completely satisfied with what I have, it's just so unfair that the society always tries to make laugh at differences, and lots of people have a life long trauma because of something you can't or shouldn't change. By the way, thanks for all the work you're doing here. Your videos help me see all these so called "standards" (and even Kibbe typology) from a different point of view. Now, after all these years of struggle and depression I finally can stop searching myslef in this universal systems and apply different recommendation to my unique features. Thank you!
Aly I have to say I really love you and the work you do. I always leave feeling inspired and understanding that it's about how you work with whatever you have - nothing is wrong. I was always teased about my forehead when I was a child. My aunt would call me "sphongo" (which means forehead in isiZulu) and I've always thought it was something that needs to be hidden. Hearing you say a big forehead is an amazing feature just boosted my self-esteem majorly. I sincerely appreciate the work you do!
I was bullied in elementary school for having a wide forehead it's because i stand out and the majority of the kids at school have small forehead. But i was often referred as pretty and smart by many people. And i realized just now that usually girls like my age will call my insecurity because they can't accept the fact that i have a wide forehead, i look different, but i still look good and i was excelling at school. Now that I'm in college, my forehead is not a big deal anymore I learned to love and appreciate it. And for me girls with wide or big forehead looks exotic and beautiful because their face are more open like Dakota Johnson, Angelina Jolie, Rihanna and many more .
When I was a teenager, I would wear bangs just because I thought my forehead is huge and ugly. I really admired the sleek no bangs long hairstyles. Then at 18 I decided that I will try and if it's terrible, I will cut again eventually. Now I'm 28 still without bangs and not thinking my forehead is terrible. Just a forehead :D
I would like to see these videos on facebook watch, Aly’s facebook account is dedicated to music, but I see other people posting these types of videos she makes. Im a hair stylist and I try to explain to people the best look they can have is the one thats designed specifically for them, rather than trying to look like someone elses best version of themselves. Aly is so intelligent and a Jill of all trades❤️
Thank you so much. I’ve always been embarrassed of my forehead because of how long and curved it is and how noticeable it is but I’m gonna try my hardest to embrace it
It’s so nice to hear you say it’s a good thing. I have one, and I REALLY wish it wasn’t so tall. My partner does say that my face has a very ‘open’ look though. I’ve never known if that is good or bad, or what the opposite, a closed face would look like?
I've never heard anyone talk of a big forehead as being a beautiful feature. I've had bangs my whole life because I've always hated it-and I'm in my 40's now. That's a long time to have bangs!
@@michelevanessen1539 i don't mean outdoors 😔 My hair is so fine, the fringe almost weightless. If i walk, the air resistence just sweeps it aside, revealing my fivehead. 😔

🥺 your so sweet I felt so admired watching this video because I have a really huge forehead and everything you mentioned in this video are things I noticed about myself but I haven’t grown to love it just yet
What about extremely small foreheads? I have always felt so insecure about it, I really wanted some curtain 70s bangs but there's just no space... I usually pluck my hair line a little bit but it's very annoying to be honest and looks gross when it grows back :(
I've been thinking of doing this,...I might try a wig first just incase it doesn't go well lol Always been complimented on my forehead but subconciously hide it. Been told I should wear indian head jewels...we'll see. 🤷🏾♀️🙏🏾 ✨💜✨
Wow! I was waiting for your next upload so I could ask you to cover this!!! Thank you!!! What would you recommend for a soft gamine with a large forehead?
Do you have a video on short forehead? I find it extremely difficult to style my hair, because the hairy area on the top of my head is just too large and kind of flat-looking because it's so big. The hair just falls on my face from there, and if I try to style it up and back (with heavy-duty styling products), that looks unnatural and even more ugly! What kind of hairstyle would suit a short, wide, flat face with eyes too wide apart? Btw you are extremely beautiful!
I have a high forehead but also a strong widow's peak, so I look like a balding man's hairline. Because of this, bangs aren't an option. I just need to embrace my quirky hairline.
me too :/ if i had a good hairline i don’t think id care so much about the size of my forehead , but i cant wear my hair parted on the side or anything without looking like im balding
I am from Malsysia, from small growing up until now, I always dislike my big or high forehead. I used to get bully by people. Maybe some Asian think big forehead is not nice looks in the eyes. Thank you to remind me that theres people outside there love high forehead.

Funny, not funny, how someone’s thoughtless comment can give you an insecurity, until you become a secure person and embrace yourself. We are all unique beauties. Thanks Ali. You are a sweetheart 🌸
Thanks so much for being positive about big foreheads! Can you do a video of a ,are forehead with fine hair. I am really struggling with my fine hair
I just love how you see the beauty in every feature. ❤ I have a big/long forehead too & your words made me feel much better about it. I wish you the best 🌹
Ive been hiding my forehead behind bangs for years but I also have a long face so it just adds to the length
Me too!
Same :(
When I was a kid till I'm in my teen years, I always felt insecure about my forehead. But, I like it the way it is. It's all about your own unique features that you were born with.
Actual tips from someone with a 6 head, it took me some experience and time to figure this out but it helps soo much:
(I’m not really good at explaining, sorry)
When you tie up a ponytail, first leave 2 pieces of hair (normal hair, not your bangs, although you should also leave out your bangs.) It’s gonna look weird at first but trust me. When you’ve tied your hair up, take those 2 strands on the sides, and pin them under your ponytail, placing them to cover the skin spots. It’s hard to explain, but there is a video explaining here: ruclips.net/video/FOQPJxtgUkw/видео.html
Also, cutting fake baby hairs or that little piece of hair Daki from demon slayer has above her ears (just Google it) makes it look a lot prettier.
Even though a big forehead isn’t something to be ashamed of, everybody feels insecure, but I like to remember I’ve inherited this from my parents who worked very hard to raise me Actual tips from someone with a 6 head, it took me some experience and time to figure this out but it helps soo much:

If you want advice on anything else, please tell me in the replies, I will try my best to help all of you!
I see a lot of black women representations today , it's a good thing but I feel sad that some comments forced aly to be very careful about the photos she uses , i'm an african girl and I don't want you aly to feel any pressure to use any photos you are not familiar with as a russian or maybe you just forget about . I appreciate all the god job you are doing thank you .
I have a really big forehead I’m insecure about so thank you for making my day ♥️
Girl, you just made me realize my forehead is not that huge, I did the proportions and it was actually smaller than one of the other 2 proportions.
Same!
You are the most positive person! I love your videos!!!
Thank you so much for these videos, I feel so much more kind to myself and appreciative of myself after watching them.
Thank you so much. I’ve always been embarrassed of my forehead because of how long and curved it is and how noticeable it is but I’m gonna try my hardest to embrace it
You are so good at making us feel seen.
Just love Aly she is so well researched and accurate
I always felt really self conscious of my forehead, so I am glad you posted this video.
It’s so nice to hear you say it’s a good thing. I have one, and I REALLY wish it wasn’t so tall. My partner does say that my face has a very ‘open’ look though. I’ve never known if that is good or bad, or what the opposite, a closed face would look like?
I loved this video as a 69 yr. Curly long hair with high forehead. Thanks for the tips.
Just Thank you I don’t know what else to say. Your words makes me feel better about my forehead be blessed beautiful
OMGGGG I ASKED THIS IN YOUR LAST VIDEO !!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU
That was very tender and kind. Thank you.
I keep getting bullied for mine :(
I've never heard anyone talk of a big forehead as being a beautiful feature. I've had bangs my whole life because I've always hated it-and I'm in my 40's now. That's a long time to have bangs!
i almost cried when you said big foreheads are beautiful!
Just got bangs aka fringe! My high forehead is warm and cozy now! 🥰😘
How about when you walk? Doesn't your fringe get swiped to the sides by the air movement created by the walk?
@@kornaxon3522 LOL, wind and weather changes every hairstyle for sure! 🌬🙋🏼♀️
@@michelevanessen1539 i don't mean outdoors 😔
My hair is so fine, the fringe almost weightless. If i walk, the air resistence just sweeps it aside, revealing my fivehead. 😔
The first question you addressed sounds exactly like my issue. My hair is curly on the ends and straight at the top. My bangs are straight/wavy and the rest of my hair is super curly.
I also loved those curly fringes :)
You're so awesome! I adore your positivity!
Thank you for this video! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My forehead is huge, I needed this video. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
🥺 your so sweet I felt so admired watching this video because I have a really huge forehead and everything you mentioned in this video are things I noticed about myself but I haven’t grown to love it just yet
Ive always hidden my big forhead with bangs, thank you sooo much!
You are seriously the best!!! Finally found my perfect "look" by watching your videos
Your videos and explanations are the best! Maybe we'll see a video about small foreheads too at some point.
Thanks for covering this type (North-East African)
Women with big foreheads are the most beautiful, I swear!
I have always felt insecure about my big forehead. That's why I clicked ... thank you 😭😭
What about extremely small foreheads? I have always felt so insecure about it, I really wanted some curtain 70s bangs but there's just no space... I usually pluck my hair line a little bit but it's very annoying to be honest and looks gross when it grows back :(
I came here to find out how I should change my hair so I am more beautiful and Aly told me I'm beautiful already. ❤️
I loved this video. My favorite so far.
Big forehead family 😭😭😭
I think I look younger because of my bigger forehead. It was an issue to me when I was a kid but like it as an adult. 🌟
literally the ONLY video I've found while looking for hairstyles that didn't tell me to HIDE my forehead..! what the.. XD
THANK YOU! finally the video i signed up for
0:32 yess I told a friend that I hate my forehead and she said hers was bigger...
Thank you Aly! ❤️🌸
I have a high forehead but also a strong widow's peak, so I look like a balding man's hairline. Because of this, bangs aren't an option. I just need to embrace my quirky hairline.
Same. Looks like it is receding at the top corners. But it isn't receding, it's just the way it's always been.
me too :/ if i had a good hairline i don’t think id care so much about the size of my forehead , but i cant wear my hair parted on the side or anything without looking like im balding
Omg I thought I was the only one looking like that.
I am from Malsysia, from small growing up until now, I always dislike my big or high forehead. I used to get bully by people. Maybe some Asian think big forehead is not nice looks in the eyes. Thank you to remind me that theres people outside there love high forehead.
i will always hide my high forehead with tapered bangs, or it dominates my eyes in photos
Hello Aly, in this episode you talk about big frond head for black women but not for white women or other ethnic??? I don’t have curly hair.... most of the people has Ford head is Americans, also Europeans ethnics....
How we can wear our hair went we have little straight hair???
🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🛑🛑🛑🛑
2:01 curly bangs look bad
on big foreheads that are PROTRUDING
:(
What about big foreheads for straight thick hair??
Thanks for this video !
I really appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️
My forehead is big , it's SHORT and afro IT'S NOT EVEN SMOOTH AND IT STARTED TO GET ACNE ON MY FOREHEAD SO How about this can this be fixed
I love my huge forehead but unfortunately I now have a bone protrusion and surgery way too risky but would like some nice bangs that wouldn't mask my forehead just camouflage the bone protrusion in the middle of my forehead about inch or 2 above my eyebrows, and I have a larger prominent hook nose which I love, do you have Any suggestions for me it would be greatly appreciated I love your videos... Thanks for reading 😊
Love this!
Uploaded just in time !
What if the big forehead is full of horizontal wrinkles and pigmentation blotches 😧😧 Makeup just makes it worse! Any tips?
Some features like high foreheads can really balance out your face
I have a short square face and if I didn't have a big forehead my face would look soooooooo small witch would definitely not look right
You definitely suit your natural forehead and u don't need to change it 😚😚
Omg thank you 😭 wow I feel so much better now
thanks but my big forehead bothers me I always hide it with a bang
Thank you for this! I used to be really insecure about my forehead too but I kinda accepted it. Never really thought about purposefully showing it off though lol. Can you do a video on side profiles? Idek what it would be about but I hate mine and I feel like you'd probably make me love it 😂
