1. Put eyeshadow on the sparse area of your hair 2. Whiten your eyes - hydrate, get more sleep, use eye drops 3. Exfoliate your skin + product placement 4. Use essential oils + product placement 5. Use castor oil for your eye lashes 6. Enhance your lips using make up 7. Don't wear head-to-toe oversized clothes 8. Smile
I just wanted to give a little information about your "whiter eyes" tip. I am an ophthalmic technician, and I work in an office with a doctor that specializes in Dry Eye Syndrome. We recommend a TON of different brands of over-the-counter eye drops to patients. But, the one drop we tell patients to avoid is Visine. Most people take it to make their eyes look whiter, because it essentially "shrinks" the blood vessels covering that area. It does NOT nourish or soothe your eyes, or take away the feeling of dryness, because it's not for dry eye. It can also have a "rebound redness" effect, if used too often, because your eyes become almost "addicted" to the drops. If you want your eyes to feel less dry, you want to use a lubricating eye drop. But, for the effect you are talking about in the video, you would be looking to use a product like Visine - but it should be used VERY sparingly, if at all.
Thank you!! Came here to say this. Use Visine so sparingly! We also caution patients to avoid using visine. Here to assure everyone this comment is accurate from an optometric profession.
1.add eyeshadow to hairline at the sparse area (when you put your hair up) 2.whiten your eyes by hydrating it with eyedrop 3.exfoliate your skin before bed 4.apply essential oils to skin after exfoliate 5.use lash booster(castor oil) for lashes 6.enhance your lip makeup 7.don’t wear baggy clothing 8.smile

Don't let their lack of loyalty damper how you feel about yourself. You killed two birds with one stone, neither of them are worth having around. Cheer up😘
I actually read the comments before I watched the video, and I was expecting some shallow, judgmental, narcissistic person. Instead, I saw I sweet woman trying not to be judgmental while giving women advice on their appearance (an inherently touchy subject). I thought she did a great job, and all the tips were interesting, even those I wouldn't do. The amount of hate she's gotten in these comments is frankly baffling.
I agree with you, she is sweet, and kind... but trying not to be judgemental while giving women advice on their appearances.... I think that's a bit to kind.
I dont think the haters are too hateful i think theyr just adding to love yourself too AND i also agree with the ppl who like the post, but the point is, it doesnt make a ton of sense to have checked a video with the TITLE HOW TO BE PRETTIER, AND THEN not like the message. thats confusing
Nyghtmares same! She’s just trying to help other people with some beauty tips. None of these things would cost someone to not be themselves, or anything. I agree!
All these comments getting offended about “ I dont need to do anything to be prettier but be myself” Ok Susan then why are you watching it? Did you miss the title of the video? Lmao I liked it, thank you Shea!
This video is for people who are "interested" in looking prettier, if you think you are all pretty enough then what are you doing here watching it? This beauty tips are actually good, just small details that will make a difference.
I think it was how she worded it that makes it a problem. To make a statement like "how to look prettier" implies that the person doesn't already have natural beauty. I think if she had titled it something like "how to enhance your look tips and tricks" it would have made it less offensive. Also, it was just the fact that she said "let's make men swoon" that makes people feel like they need to "fit a standard" and only reinforces the message that they're not naturally attractive enough already.
I never said her video deserved hate. I just don't agree with how she's worded things. Also, beauty is subjective. These are all her opinions, if you look through the comments not everyone agrees with what she says. People have a right to disagree. That's what the comments section is for.
You said it! It's really.a pet peeve of mine when people go and watch a video and then just insult the video by saying how they ate better off without said _'_blank______' and don't need it , blah, blah, blah. Why even watch??
My 8 Tips to Stop the Ugly 1. Don't hate on a woman making a perfectly nice and informative video [for you]. 2. Be yourself: Well myself feels insecure about the thinning hair so that eyeshadow trick will definitely help! Myself also incorporates longer lashes into personal style so that castor oil will be worth a try. Myself also wears baggy clothes on the fat days so her trick of making one piece form fitting is genius. Her husband, [who tells her she's beautiful no matter what but she doesn't listen to] thanks you. 3. Be yourself: Embrace your insecurities. We all have them! It's kind of what makes hair and makeup so much fun, if you think about it. And I'm even a low-mid maintenance girl. 4. Be yourself: Your insecurities are actually part of who you are. By other people telling you otherwise, it can make you feel worse about them. Instead, go on RUclips and find some videos that might help. Check out that Shea Whitney channel - some pretty unique tricks brought up-like involving castor oil... 5. Don't use social media to bully. Don't go on someone's video and sully it with negativity. Is it your right? Constitutionally, yes. But rights come with responsibilities. 6. If you ever feel that a video might be damaging to a viewer, constructively tell them in a comment - as blasting them is definitely ironic in all the worse ways. (yes, I'm using the word _ironic_ correctly) 7. Bolster anyone who has the ladyballs to post a channel about beauty tips! 8. Don't hate. (but hey, when those frown lines get to you, I know a video that has a tip for that...)
Weerez I love these tips girl, and the message behind it!!! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, but not everyone feels that way. So if there’s a simple tip, trick or hack that works and fills that void, awesome!! But sadly there are no videos w/tips, tricks and hacks to tackle the type of ugly displayed in dozens of comments after a lot of these videos!?! I will continue to keep an open eye for the brave person to take on this mission..... tbc...
pookie pie no!!!! Lol. I have a friend while bored one evening, decided to sharpie her grays. She was THRILLED that she’d found a quick, cheap fix..... until she woke up the morning with sharpie EVERYWHERE! On her pillow, all over her face. Can you imagine! ;)
In my opinion, I already look pretty. I don't need no eyeshadow on my sparse hairs to look good Also, to the person who pressed "Read More" *You're already pretty too. Why are you here gorgeous?*
I don't understand these comments. I loved this video, and she wasn't at all being shallow. These tips are useful. If you didn't want the information why click on the video?
Visine actually constricts the blood vessels in your eyes (that's how they appear whiter); however, it will definitely dry your eyes out... It doesn't "nourish your eyes."
It can be used for special events to combat redness but never ever daily. It isn’t even OTC in most European countries for that reason. It will do more harm in the long run, I’d say skip it.
The skin sucking thing, fyi, temporarily fixes fine lines because of the trauma to the skin being sucked so hard, its swelling. But in the long run your skin is being stretched and wrinkles will end up being worse. Sorry for the dermatology 101.
Christina D What is the science behind the derma rollers? They leave tiny micro cuts on the skin (trauma) and this causes blood to rush to the area and blood promotes healing. Is this similar to the "sucking" trauma?
Christina D i agree. i saw that & was like: Hey! They used to sell those on infomercials, then at Dollar Stores..i haven't seen one in YEARS! !! You're comment made me remember why! (not the aging, the "blackhead remover" left pores SO open that no matter what you used after, (astringent, benzoyl peroxide, masks, oils) you just created more space. i STILL have ONE *giant* pore from those!
Jaycee Beauty Do you. All i know is: i used those for about 3 years. In abt to 2013/14, i was at a neighbor's going on about how much i'd moved in adulthood, (26x @ age 42) to which my neighbor's "no filter" guest blurted out: "YOU'RE 42?!" me: (lol & twirling my hair) "Yeah, omg, like? How old did you think i was 😍?" Him: "FIFTY-ONE! 😮" me: 😮 i asked a couple of other male friends & got a hesitant, "mm, yeah, uh-huh." 😮 i saw an article about those, stopped then & there, JUST turned 45, & get told i look 38 to 45. i'm not aiming to get carded, i also just don't want to be called 51!!
*You are not obligated to dress up and look nice to impress boys HOWEVER if you want to, then that’s absolutely okay.* If you don’t, then don’t. If you want to impress your crush, go for it. END OF STORY
Calista :3 I don’t do it for boys, I just feel good doing it. It’s not a chore or obligation. Boys are not making me do it, Lol!! It’s super fun art. Everyone wants to look good too regardless.
Being a woman myself, with a young daughter, I just want to say this (in response to your opening line of "let's make the boys swoon"): BE BEAUTIFUL for YOURSELF!!! don't waste as many years as I once did trying to measure up to some false standard of beauty! Pretty is as pretty does. Speak kind words, do kind things, see the beauty in others. All this will shine through! THEN give a thought to making the outside what YOU want to see 😚 PS: you are already ENOUGH. despite what advertising and the media want you to believe. PPS: not feeling great about yourself? make an effort to compliment and lift up other women, it NEVER fails to get me out of my own head when I think of others! and, you never know what that compliment may mean to someone! we ladies have to start building eachother up!✌
Rachel W you are a fantastic mom, we really can never be too positive or supportive of young women and ALL women! And yes, I agree -- it really does help to be around positive role models and to make others feel better when I feel the worst about my ugly face....or at least the face the world has told me is not "perfect." I hope that any young girl feeling crap about herself the way I always have gets to be around people like you;) It's rough out there, esp. Instagram. So sick of the airbrush and filter and photoshop.....it's getting so that everyone looks the same.
nadia mccall 💖 You’re darling and possess genuine depth. Instagram sounds poisonous - I wonder if the girls who filter and photoshop themselves think of the repercussions when they’re seen in real life. 🤔😬
Rachel W : Wow, what beautiful thoughts. Living in America, land of materialism and esoteric beauty, it's refreshing to hear words encouraging people to THINK OF OTHERS. Kids sometimes become self absorbed, with an inflated opinion of their own self worth and have little humility. They need to be taught to become dutiful, civic minded (doubt Civics is taught in school anymore), and to deposit value to the bank of life, versus just making withdrawals! ----> I've studied how Asians (in Jamaica, China and who live in the US) behave. Those that preserve their value for the family in general, it's noticable how they treat their grandparents, like a gem for their wisdom, just for being their predecessors. ---> I've been giving thought to enacting an awareness that preteen and teenagers volunteer time in nursing homes or hospitals, just reading to the aged and asking; 1. If their day is going well, 2. what they are most proud of, 3. what advice they would give to government, 4. how could schools (from kindergarten to academia) better impact our society and implement meaningful change. ----> The aged are gems of knowledge, just waiting to be tapped and can shed a light on History from a personal perspective. Some of it can possibly be worth being chronicled.
love to all you amazing, beautiful, strong ladies! your positive responses gave me a boost for my morning already and I can feel the ❤❤❤❤❤ sending good vibes your way lovelies!
Please read all!!!!! so this guy i really like is dating this girl on my soccer team. i also don’t like her very much so i want to get him to like me(i know this seems mean but she has always disliked me and last year i told her who i liked(him) and she started dating him a week later) so yea i basically want to glow up. i’ll update u 5 likes = 1 squat 1 comment = 3 push-ups
It just blows me away how many negative comments people leave. This girl is taking her time to give value to people who want it. If it doesn't serve you, just quietly move on. My question to those people is... what value are you bringing to others? Because I can guarantee your negativity just makes you look bad.
Exactly! I'm so shocked at the amount of negative replies and nit picking at her tips it's like....then why the hell watch it then 😂 lol some people just have nothing better to do
Denise, I think I speak on behalf of most of the negative commenters. Some people feel very insecure about themselves and will be immediately click on a video that guarantees that they will be prettier. Many people (I used to do this myself) will not put things into perspective and will completely set their mind to the first few sentences they hear; things about developing beauty on the outside and impressing boys. They live their life thinking “do I look perfect in this moment” or “omg there’s a boy looking at me I better look the best I can” and they forget to be themselves/let their personality shine through. A lot of us (including me) are here to remind these people not to obsess about looking good in everything they do, but some ppl do this in a different form and instead criticize the vid, which isn’t the best way to get the message through. Anyway, I just want you to know that many of us have good intentions, even though our actions may be extreme some of the time. Thank you for your time.
ok but you cant see someones personality based on their pictures on instagram. if you feel ugly, being told to just suck it up and that everyones beautiful doesnt help at all because you still think youre ugly
"IdOnT nEeD eYeShAdOW oN mY HaIR 2 b BeAuTifUl" congrats Karen but i have slight hormonal alopecia and my scalp ski showing when I put my hair up really could use some brown eyeshadow IF THATS OK WITH U So mad at all the tumblr-ish comments on this video. This lady is actually giving us useful tips for real problems. Wtf is wrong with people.
if you really want to look pretty, delete your social media and remember who you were without it. guaranteed, you will look prettier because you won't be comparing your natural self with plastic dolls. don't let yourself fall into these ig model traps, you're just a product they're selling. they use your insecurities to make money.
a rashid social media makes me feel more confident, seeing photos of myself and knowing i’m not the only one who thinks i’m pretty, as someone who has done the social media cleanse i don’t enjoy it but i agree that instagram models are pretty harmful and i only follow people who i know or people i like seeing posts from (celebs, bands, hairstylists). i do have friends who delete their social medias as well and it is a refreshing break, but if you’re following the right people it’s actually a nice way to document the happy days of your life
That's why I've chosen to not have any social medias even though I'm totally allowed to and I'm pretty much the only person my age without one, they do more harm than good
I honestly just want to screenshot this comment and some of the replies because it makes me feel more positive. It's better than saying "you're beautiful in the inside, you don't need this stuff," because that just pisses me off. That doesn't change the viewpoint of my face or body. Thank you for this. Honestly I love this comment, but I don't know why.
Ignore the clowns! I truly appreciate and value all of your videos but especially ones like this because I am an avidly indulgent crossdresser and even though I was blessed with facial features more pretty and feminine than handsome and masculine I can use every tip and trick available to look my feminine best. I don't just throw on any old bra stuffed with socks and a dreary house dress, no way! I dress en femme first class! I keep my entire body sans scalp free of hair....i go full piece coordinated lingerie...pantyhose...if I am going to wear a dress I wear panties then pantyhose then a bra then a full slip then often a tightly-laced underbust corset...I do my nails and hair and wear perfume and cute shoes or boots...no schlock laziness...cis girls have told me I am worse than any girl they know when it comes to my makeup perfection...I always get hit on by straight guys when I go out and I just smile and say: "Thank you! I am truly flattered, but I have a penis in my panties"...sometimes guys have even then said: "I have no problem with that. You are one fine hottie no matter what you are packin."...other guys lacking class have simply then asked: "Is it hard (or stiff)?" or: "How big." which I actually like because then I get to say: "Oh, it's a tiny micro. Useless to women." So THANK YOU for helping me be a woman to make all women proud! I'm going up to a casino as Snow White in about an hour.
crystal dahmer 😂Same! Take me back to my 20s-30s! Here are my tips: Have good posture Speak with proper grammar Stay funny and positive Stay flexible; physically and mentally
Men like women who look like women. Men generally can't see beyond the outlines of your clothing; they really assume that you're shaped like that! It sounds crazy, but it's true. A lot of women don't find this out until after they're married and their man doesn't have to hide what he thinks any more.
Sis... Oversized clothing is a look! 😂 I personally like wearing oversized clothes, it's 110% more comfy and I prefer to be comfortable. Edit: guys seriously I'm not hating 😂 please stop attacking lil ol me😂 I originally intended this to be a joke! Besides plenty of people look stunning in oversized clothing! Also a lot of people are more confident when they're comfortable :)
i love that she made ONE comment about looking good for boys in a 9:46 second video as a cutesy joke to introduce the video topic and y'all are hating on her, but somehow think that leaving negative self-righteous comments makes you a good person. First, there's nothing wrong with wanting to look good for boys - a lot of girls want to look good in front of crushes boyfriends, or husbands and there's nothing wrong with that. Second, that wasn't even the point of the video. The video is about cheap effective tips to improving your appearance. Thats it. And third, there's nothing wrong with girls wanting to improve their appearances in general. Most girls like makeup and wearing cute clothing and being creative with their look - of course there are girls who don't like that and prefer a natural look, which is fine, but that doesn't make liking those things bad and it doesn't make the girls who like makeup and fashion shallow and vapid. tl;dr this is a good video with good tricks for improving your appearance, so stop making it about how tragic it is for girls nowadays to be forced to wear makeup when half the time they're begging their moms to go to ulta or sephora and are trying to look prettier because they want to.
First not everyone expresses themselves they way you want; maybe in her head she meant that .. we are human give her room for mistake and u should give the benefit of the doubt . Why pick at the wrong right away ? Be positive and let’s be nice to one another 💕
Everyone who is bashing this sweet woman shouting in the name of feminism is negating their own arguments before it even leaves their mouths. Lift each other up. @Shea - I am 26 and never had the positive, safe environment to really explore my feminine side with encouragement. I'm not saying that abstaining from makeup and the like is wrong, I really made peace and accepted that it wasn't for me. The problem was that I did without even really trying it out. Now that I am in a place where I can explore my sense of personal style, fashion, etc. I find your videos really helpful, and they are simple enough that I can feel confident in achieving clear results. I'm nowhere near obtaining a nice "smoky eye" but I just wanted to thank you for helping this duckling find her inner swan. I appreciate the time you take to show women like me ways we can take stock in ourselves. Like you said about how being pretty is not the only reason, just spending a little more time caring for ourselves can make a difference in how we handle our esteem. Keep going lady! I see a million subscribers in your future.
I get you. I was raped a lot as a kid so being feminine has always felt too risky for me. I don't like the kind of attention I get. Makes me anxious and angry actually. Now that I'm older I'm feeling like I never got to FEEL like a woman. Like any gender really. I'm more androgynous, which I also find attractive in others. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a feminine woman. Society likes to turn women into caricatures. Why women even do it to themselves. (Looking at YOU, Kardassians.) As long as you're genuine and authentic, expressing your womanliness would be soothing for everyone that encounters you. Like a gorgeous flower in full bloom. That's a power that we, uniquely as women, possess. I'm sad I didn't feel safe enough to feel that and express that. Making an effort at looking beautiful doesn't have to be shallow and moronic (You again, Kardassians), it COULD be simply blossoming in a way that feeds others somehow. It could be destiny. Maybe we, as women, are destined to feed others with our beauty. (If men want to grab it, that's their problem. There are laws for that shit. Not that they ever served me. At all. Ever.) Still, I'm the one in the baggy clothes, with no make-up and thin hair along the sides of my ponytail. No men give me any attention and I like it that way. Do you REALLY wanna be like me? :D :D
@@lunatec6858 I love your comment and relate to it a lot 💯❤ I enjoy and appreciate myself much more than any man ever could. Even if i sometimes get down and feel like no one sees me, I let go of that. It's a tough dichotomy because of the unsafe feeling. Yet we all want to shine sometimes.
You forgot to mention the most effective way to appear "prettier" which is to be a kind person. Ever see someone stunning but when you get to know them and they aren't a nice person, they are wayyyyy less attractive? I think that being a good hearted person is the best way to look prettier.
Why are so many women angry at this video? Female empowerment - yes! Being happy with yourself first - yes! You can be strong and still want to look good, beautiful, and fresh. What's stronger than a woman with a bright mind and bright skin? I dont think this video was I'll intentioned - ig would not be genuine to suggest that everyone here doesn't care how they look. That's why the you clicked on the video. These are great practical tips :)
And maybe that happens if you use eye drops too often. She did say, “Do not use the eye drops every day. Only use when you want them to be whiter OR when they’re feeling red and dry.” So as long as you follow those instructions properly, then it should be fine.
@Tangential_Tangine TheraTears are fine, they're just lubricant drops... and unless they're single use ampules, they do have preservatives. The preservatives are not the issue. The active ingredient in the Original Visine formulation she showcased can cause dryness and rebound redness after just one use. I'm a pharmacist.
Absolutely agree. Visine is the absolute worst. Full of preservatives, and a Vasoconstrictor which is how it reduces redness. Find an eye drop that’s preservative free, reducing dryness should reduce a little redness.
@@Anna-sg8wt people like you are the reason people feel insecure about themselves yeah your right if your CLINICALLY OBESE you should try changing your lifestyle that would benefit your life. if it wasn't for the society's expectation of people to have a flat tummy and big but people wouldn't feel bad about themselves. the fact you started your reply with "no this is really dumb" is very ignorant . all the comment was saying was that you are beautiful and you shouldn't feel the need to change yourself. you have only thought that overweight people feel insecure and feel the need to change but no people who are healthy weight feel the need to have the perfect body. what for? so then can live up to "social expectations" no we cant stop this movement . why? because people need to love themselves. PEOPLE DONT NEED TO CHANGE. SOCIETY DOES. perioddttttt now stop being a Karen and get yo self educated
xnn unknown is right, though. if you are are unhappy about your body or face or ANYTHING you shouldn't be scared to change. changing yourself really improves self confidence and is the reason why people want to lose weight. there's nothing wrong about trying to be prettier and there's nothing wrong with accepting yourself. but it's really harmful to say 'you are beautiful, dont change' when some feels ugly and wants to change.
I just ordered the Castor oil, I hope it will help me with my few eyelashes and my hair which does not grow, no idea why. Thank you for the video. I really liked this castor oil recommendation and yes, I don't understand how people use their time to write these negative comments to a person that is actually given away useful information. Do not pay attention to them and please keep making useful videos. Good night.
Hi Shae. I am not a "girly girl" by any means but I do have a high-end sales job where looks, grooming and professionalism plays a regretfully huge role so I have to find a way to look the part. I find your videos refreshingly informative, practical and original. Thank you!! (you are now officially the one and only beauty channel that I have ever subscribed to.) Keep it up lady!
PSA regarding oil diffusers: PLEASE read up on how they affect pets if you have one. I know diffusing tea tree oil or citric oils especially can make pets VERY sick, sometimes fatally.
Mine wasn’t ultrasonic and I put in cinnamon for Christmas. I noticed my dog struggling to breathe so I took her outside and looked up cinnamon oil and saw it can be hazardous to pets. I had no idea!
It's one thing to use tea tree oil on the skin, it's another thing entirely to have your pet inhaling it. The problem with essential oils (from my understanding) is that the inhalation of the fumes or the ingestion of the oils are the reasons EOs can be fatal to pets.
Thank you again for your wonderful tips, Shea! It just amazes me when I see anyone comment here about your videos being toxic or made to make anyone feel ugly. You always make it a point to make sure to remind folks that what's on the inside is more important than what's on the outside. Yet, some still feel entitled to simply read a title, not even learn about you first, and then come sling mud. I'm glad you keep doing you. This world would be a whole lot easier to enjoy without all of the haters. 💖
No some of us wear baggy clothes because we DO dislike our bodies. I am as skinny as a lamp post and I feel like I look like a skeleton so I hide under baggier clothes. It happens.
Lol yes. I am bigger so get told I should wear tight clothes. I have always liked oversized clothing and I feel great. Do I look great? I think so haha
I'm sorry you're getting all the negative comments. I don't normally watch these kinds of videos, but I thought it was really good. I love your attitude, and tip number 8 is spot on! I use essential oils too, but mainly on my hair! Hater's gonna hate dear, I get it on my channel too lol.
I totally agree and I love essential oils too!! For everything I'm very interested in your package.. I agree I loved all your tips I'm 36 and I can use them 😉 hang in there and please make more videos
oh my god ... DO NOT put pure essential oil on your face it's super bad for you.. This one might be fine but don't put any essential oil on your face you need a carrier oil and even then it's rlly dangerous holy shit
I agree that a pure essential oil COULD have a negative effect. Too strong. But that doesn't mean ALL of them WILL hurt you. I use all kinds of oils and my skin is clear and strong. They can really feed your skin and completely change the texture. They can also give you huge pores and pimples. It depends, like everything else. But Vintner's Daughter is all I use most nights. Incredible stuff. Chia oil. Hemp oil, extremely moisturizing. All of them have essential herbals mixed in but yes, they all use a soothing carrier oil. Wax will clog your pores so what other alternative is there? Oil or wax.
I am 47 and people never believe me when I say that and I believe it's due to a habit I developed as a teen. I read an article in Readers digest that said aloe vera will help with acne, hydration and aging. I've been faithfully using it everyday since I was 14 . The beauty of it is that you can use it anywhere on your face and body just avoid any super sensitive areas. I use either the plants themselves or a gel that has no alcohol and I usually also squeeze one Vitamin E capsule in the gel. I feel much prettier when I do this treatment because I feel ageless. Just my little beauty tip. Plus I use a greasless sunscreen on my face everyday. I like Nuetrogena.
Awesome suggestions. Castor oil is also good for helping grow back eyebrows in case you, oh, I don't know, overplucked the hell out of them in the 90s. Guilty party right here!! And as a final suggestion, standing up straight helps me look and feel better. Shoulders back, stomach in, and up tall. It works!
Some of you negative folks are going to hit an age where specific changes are happening with your body and will be glad for these tips. I appreciate them and love the eyeshadow on the hair tip.
Clothes that is too big for your body isn't fashionable all the time, people need to understand moderation because like why is the new shirt double in size?
I LOVE this video! Perhaps some people didn't quite understand a few of your tips because they weren't listening closely, for example, you said moisturizing eye drops for an instant whitening of your eyes and NOT to use them daily. Anyway, your tops were great, and the best tip was to smile! I'm also interested in the essential oils. Especially the blend you used on your face.
I use YL, too! Add lavender, cedarwood, and rosemary to the castor oil for a DIY lash serum. I purchased an empty mascara container from amazon and added the oils in there and topped with the castor oil.
I do this too but I just add Cedarwood and Lavender to my mascara. Rosemary, I havent heard of adding that to my mascara! What does the Rosemary do? Yay for YL!
Rosemary is supposed to be great for promoting healthy hair growth. I use lavender, cedarwood and rosemary in my regular mascara and my lashes have never looked better. Young Living also has a whole make up line called Savvy Minerals that’s beautiful and they have mascara too.
I think you've lost your mind. None of these things will make anyone prettier. They will make you well groomed perhaps, but that's all. You are what you are.
I actually think that she is basically a nice person, just a little delusional remember, its all sbout money in the end anf how much she can cobvince you to buy those products
Gigi McGuane . Exactly! Almost nobody looks into someone's else's eyes to catch if not being so white. At the end of the day it's the kindness of the heart that matters!
1. Eyeshadow onto Hair and roots 2. Eyedrops for whiter eyes 3. Exfoliate skin 4. Essential oils as skincare 5. Castor oil after using Fake eyelashes 6. Dont match your lip liner to your lipstick (but still same colour) 7. Dont wear oversize clothes 8. Smile :)
hi shea, love your videos but i have to comment about the use of essential oils on the skin. im a licensed esthetician and can tell you no one in the field recommends putting undiluted essential oils on the face. this can be very problematic for people with sensitive skin and other skin conditions.. id really advise discontinuing that practice and sharing it with your viewers. not trying to make you feel bad, i just want to inform people! keep up the great content, and btw loving your hair in this video!
xoxochatterbox the essential oil she used is a blend that is prediluted (coconut oil and avocado oil were the first ingredients) so it's specially designed and marketed for it. Good tip to not use them undiluted .
I use and love YL but by in large distributors don’t do their own research and pass along misinformation. Their predilution is still too strong. Especially for those with sensitivities. It medicine. You have to be careful!!
I use tea tree oil on my skin with my moisturizer. Peppermint and tea tree for my scalp. Works great for me. I add tea tree to my clay masks as well. I should do it more but when I get a break out I suddenly remember it and wonder why I dont do it regularly. Lol
The tips are useful, thank you. Nothing wrong with taking care of your appearance. It's not as if she's plastering herself in 50 layers of Mac cosmetics. Just remember to always be yourself, the thing which sets us apart and makes us unique is that we are all different; so flaunt your own individuality, mind, body and soul and be proud of YOU. 💖
Shea, thank you so much for this video. It was sweet, uplifting, and informative. It made me smile (number 8). That said, I hope that the critics below find their smiles and see this video for what it really is. It's not a message to our young girls from a shallow, insecure person who only cares about swooning boys. No. This is a light-hearted piece of entertainment that is also informative and is supposed to make you smile (which makes us prettier;)). Well done. Keep doing your thing, Shea. It was great.
I have been reading some of the mean girl comments. Okay so maybe the preteen to 30 year olds don't need the tips....well at least not yet...HAHAHAHAHAHA but I am glad to know that I can save the $150.00 that I have been spending on Rodan & Fields lash booster and replace it with $10.00 castor oil. I also camouflage my receding hairline that I seemed to get after my last pregnancy or maybe it was because I had just turned 40 but it still sucked. I use the cream contour kit by Anastasia to mask the hairline. She specifically said not to use the visine too much as well. I find it so sad that women do this to other women, I mean you act as though she has killed a kitten.
I was thinking the same.. so surprised at these comments. So many negative woman ready to pounce...it was just a peppy little video with some beauty tips.. what is wrong with people?? if you don't have something nice to say ??? DONT SAY ANYTHING. How silly they are bashing a beauty tip video for GIVING BEAUTY TIPS🤦Oh my she said boys😱 just so silly. Shea I would not give these nasty comments a second thought ..these woman are angry and I'm guessing could really use tip #8 🤣
Yes, I agree with you Jennie! Geez!!! I really enjoyed this video and I thought you were really cute, genuine and sweet Shea! These women are all so angry and bitter with this crazy feminist movement and all this hatred that has been stirred up in our country! I still believe in looking good for my man and being sexy and feminine. I appreciate your awesome tips girl! Thanks for the information. Keep your head up! I'm gonna share your video on my facebook. I am also very interested in the oils too...
I thought the same things! If the people would actually WATCH the video, there were some awesome tips! Is it wrong for you to want your skin or face to look the best it can be?
Wow people nobody made you watch her video and here some advice for all the hateful people maybe you should eat your make up so you can be pretty on the inside. She is bubbly sweet and I liked her advice people who are bitter I notice can't handle bubbly people I myself love it and smile because I am happy like being happy
I guess the comments below are just proof you can't please everyone all of the time. Kindness and beauty from within are the most important, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to look the best you can and I for one appreciate her tips!
Low self-esteem and self righteous pseudo social justice warriors= nasty haters. it's ridiculous. I guess the fact that I give beauty lessons to cancer stricken women makes me evil too. Must be a pitiful existence to be so unhappy with one's self that the thought of others trying to help others and themselves feel and look better is considered a bad thing
Thank you so much for taking the time to make helpful videos like this one. I love love love the eye shadow trick. I'm so sorry you have to endure the negative comments from the insecure internet trolls. You know the old saying "misery loves company" these bullies thrive on it, and feed off of each other. Last time I checked it was still legal to be pretty. Maybe not politically correct, but there is nothing wrong with turning a head or two, and any tips that can help with that, I'm all for it. My grandmother's advice for if you had to leave the house without your face being made was, big sunglasses and lipstick. And as for baggy clothes, we all wear them on our "fat days." There's nothing like a big ole shirt and some yoga pant's to run around in. So keep posting these awesome videos, and maybe one day we might have a generation of women again who won't be "pretty shamed."
Shea, I'm burning up my keyboard here, pushing back on the negative feedback. Whatever happened to 'you do you, and I'll do me?' You offered tips for problems many of us have, and yet haters feel the need to act like the video was made only for THEM and they have the right to bash it. I liked your video, I like you and I will subscribe. Thanks :)
Did everyone miss the title of the video? If you didn’t want to hear tips and tricks, why are you watching the video. I just dont understand the stupidity behind these comments. I wanted the tips and tricks, hence i watched the video and I enjoyed. Did you come here just to be a bitch?
Great tip! I never thought to use eye shadow to fill in those thin spots on the sides of my forehead. Right after your video I tried it and looked 5 years younger!
Gina D My hairstylist used Bumble and bumble hair powder for this purpose. At first I was sceptical but it is a brilliant product. If you go to their website and search "hair powder" you can choose the one that is best for your hair color. One of the great things about this product is that you can still style your hair after you have applied it. It works to fill in the hairline or thinning spots and to cover up grey roots.
I cant believe the amount of childish negativity on this sweet womans video!! You inevitably clicked this video due to interest...Right? She is completely right! Shes also saying to embrace your body no matter what..Us as woman like to impress boys\men.... This has been the way of the human race for thousands of years... Yes we should all do for ourselves but this extremely sweet and beautiful woman, simply gave some beauty tips...Guess what? They work!! Thank you Shea!!!
So great to see a real beauty, with absolutely impeccable makeup application and not that pearly nose and cheeks overdone with highlighter. Loved your video. Very informative.
It's also great to massage castor oil onto your scalp. Let it sit for 30-45 minutes before washing your hair. I started to see a huge difference pretty quickly. It made my hair grow and it helped keep my scalp and drying out and flaking between washes. I love how hydrating it is!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I'm going to try the eyeshadow on the hairline tip! I have that problem too! I hope you don't pay attention to these negative comments. People can't seem to just not like something and move on without making comments to put people down. Unhappy people just want to try and bring others down. Keep up the great work!
Me when she said "look feminem... blablabla and make the boys swoon" Eh... ????? Since when do we wanna look good for boys and not for ourself? Oh yeah in the 60's. Hello this is 2018!
demi etc. yes when I am way too thin, like now, I have to make sure not to emphasize it with dark tight clothes. She got it all wrong; dress to flatter your body. It's not hard to figure out when you try clothes on; you want to emphasize what you like and play down what you don't. e.g. I love my waist and midsection so I always want to adjust and change clothing to flatter that. Baggy IS good for some. Totally useless.
Baggy is good for no-one. I am super skinny as well, and yes you don't want to wear black skin tight clothes that emphasize it, but hiding your body under potato sacks makes you look dumpy and frumpy. You may be hiding your skinny self, but you're looking bad in another way. The best clothes are ones that just actually fit you reasonably well. People just get offended with the whole don't wear baggy clothes thing because they want to hide their body or be lazy.
I am 51, so I have to work a bit harder at keeping my face pretty. I use essential oils, but I take some time to do a facial massage. All of the early morning puffiness and wrinkles fade significantly. As a bonus, it helps my sinuses, too. It has been a game changer for me.

Nikki Mueller Thank you for sharing! I was scared to use eye drops for “whiter eyes” Thank you! ♥️
Thank you!! Came here to say this. Use Visine so sparingly! We also caution patients to avoid using visine. Here to assure everyone this comment is accurate from an optometric profession.
Is "blink" a good brand? I've been using it for a while
Interesting,i used to use visine when i smoked pot in college thenbhav9ng to go to work.

I agree!
But this is exactly what makes them haters: they read the title and checked the video only to comment that way. So...
A whole lotta haters.

Amanda Perez, totally agree with you. People just get too offended these days...
My 8 Tips to Stop the Ugly
(yes, I'm using the word _ironic_ correctly)
7. Bolster anyone who has the ladyballs to post a channel about beauty tips!
8. Don't hate. (but hey, when those frown lines get to you, I know a video that has a tip for that...)
You are articulating my feelings, exactly!
Absolutely agree, people are too negative. If you don't like a video, why watch it?
Weerez I love these tips girl, and the message behind it!!! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, but not everyone feels that way. So if there’s a simple tip, trick or hack that works and fills that void, awesome!! But sadly there are no videos w/tips, tricks and hacks to tackle the type of ugly displayed in dozens of comments after a lot of these videos!?! I will continue to keep an open eye for the brave person to take on this mission..... tbc...

Visine actually constricts the blood vessels in your eyes (that's how they appear whiter); however, it will definitely dry your eyes out... It doesn't "nourish your eyes."

Christina D

Being a woman myself, with a young daughter, I just want to say this (in response to your opening line of "let's make the boys swoon"): BE BEAUTIFUL for YOURSELF!!! don't waste as many years as I once did trying to measure up to some false standard of beauty! Pretty is as pretty does. Speak kind words, do kind things, see the beauty in others. All this will shine through! THEN give a thought to making the outside what YOU want to see 😚
PS: you are already ENOUGH. despite what advertising and the media want you to believe.
Rachel W 💞 Amen to that, Beautiful 💞
nadia mccall 💖 You’re darling and possess genuine depth. Instagram sounds poisonous - I wonder if the girls who filter and photoshop themselves think of the repercussions when they’re seen in real life. 🤔😬
Rachel W :
Wow, what beautiful thoughts.

It just blows me away how many negative comments people leave. This girl is taking her time to give value to people who want it. If it doesn't serve you, just quietly move on. YESSS!! GOD BLESS THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK
Thank you for your time.

if you really want to look pretty, delete your social media and remember who you were without it. guaranteed, you will look prettier because you won't be comparing your natural self with plastic dolls. don't let yourself fall into these ig model traps, you're just a product they're selling. they use your insecurities to make money.
a rashid social media makes me feel more confident, seeing photos of myself and knowing i’m not the only one who thinks i’m pretty, as someone who has done the social media cleanse i don’t enjoy it but i agree that instagram models are pretty harmful and i only follow people who i know or people i like seeing posts from (celebs, bands, hairstylists). i do have friends who delete their social medias as well and it is a refreshing break, but if you’re following the right people it’s actually a nice way to document the happy days of your life
a rashid Agreed!
Yep! I’ve gone years without Instagram. It made me feel very jealous. Not anymore.
Good Lord the cry babies on here...if you don't like or agree, DONT WATCH. She is giving beauty tips/tricks. End of.
THANK YOU SISTER!

I felt personally attacked when she told me not to wear oversized clothing 😂
crystal dahmer 😂Same! Take me back to my 20s-30s!
Here are my tips:
Have good posture
Speak with proper grammar
Stay funny and positive
Stay flexible; physically and mentally
Men like women who look like women. Men generally can't see beyond the outlines of your clothing; they really assume that you're shaped like that! It sounds crazy, but it's true. A lot of women don't find this out until after they're married and their man doesn't have to hide what he thinks any more.
I think you may be over sensitive. Too baggy clothing always makes people look frumpy.
“We don’t wanna look like a clown”
You called?
This was really funny 😂😂
Sis... Oversized clothing is a look! 😂
I personally like wearing oversized clothes, it's 110% more comfy and I prefer to be comfortable.
Edit: guys seriously I'm not hating 😂 please stop attacking lil ol me😂 I originally intended this to be a joke! Besides plenty of people look stunning in oversized clothing! Also a lot of people are more confident when they're comfortable :)
its only "a look" for women who hate their bodies. Own it
oversized can look good. it gives you the "I'm wearing my bfs jeans/sweater" look. Its cute.
@@Kat74770 Lol yes! 😂

*step 1 : Love your self*
i love that she made ONE comment about looking good for boys in a 9:46 second video as a cutesy joke to introduce the video topic and y'all are hating on her, but somehow think that leaving negative self-righteous comments makes you a good person.
Yeah , exactly
Thank you!! You took the words right out of mouth!!

I love how she put prettier instead of pretty, everyone is gorgeous 💗💗

Why did they click on it if they're so feminist?
At all. Ever.)
Still, I'm the one in the baggy clothes, with no make-up and thin hair along the sides of my ponytail. No men give me any attention and I like it that way. Do you REALLY wanna be like me? :D :D

Eyedrops restrict your eye veins and long term use can actually make your eyes veinier
Better and newer product to whiten your eyes: Lumify!!!! 😃

PSA regarding oil diffusers: PLEASE read up on how they affect pets if you have one. I know diffusing tea tree oil or citric oils especially can make pets VERY sick, sometimes fatally.
starsonfire only if it is ultrasonic. most people dont buy ultrasonic and the ones who do already know about pets
Mine wasn’t ultrasonic and I put in cinnamon for Christmas. I noticed my dog struggling to breathe so I took her outside and looked up cinnamon oil and saw it can be hazardous to pets. I had no idea!
starsonfire then why do they make tea tree shampoo for dogs
It's one thing to use tea tree oil on the skin, it's another thing entirely to have your pet inhaling it. The problem with essential oils (from my understanding) is that the inhalation of the fumes or the ingestion of the oils are the reasons EOs can be fatal to pets.
Thanks didn't think of it that way
Thank you again for your wonderful tips, Shea! 💖
Caution: Eye drops are addictive and make your eyes dry when you try to stop use. Be careful..not too much. Enjoyed your video :)

People don't (have to) wear oversize because they don't like their bodies lol. (Usually) They just like oversized clothes.
Thank you for pointing that out.

I love oversized clothes! Baggy hoodies especially, it makes me feel like I’m wearing a blanket.

Do your research first:)
4:57 ingredients include... "Coconut and Avocado oil"...
@@debbieshepherd5163 Coconut oil is horrible for your skin.
Tea tree oil and lavender can be used neat. Although lavender does become photo toxic so be sure to use proper sun protection after using.
It works!

Can you make a video on the oils and how you use them???
Tara Albrecht,Your lovely smile can make the news!
I use YL, too! Add lavender, cedarwood, and rosemary to the castor oil for a DIY lash serum. I purchased an empty mascara container from amazon and added the oils in there and topped with the castor oil.
Omgosh that's such a FAB idea!!!! Thank youuuu!!!
What's YL? Im excited to try this🤗💜
It's Young Living Essential Oils
I do this too but I just add Cedarwood and Lavender to my mascara. Rosemary, I havent heard of adding that to my mascara! What does the Rosemary do? Yay for YL!
Rosemary is supposed to be great for promoting healthy hair growth. I use lavender, cedarwood and rosemary in my regular mascara and my lashes have never looked better. Young Living also has a whole make up line called Savvy Minerals that’s beautiful and they have mascara too.

hi shea, love your videos but i have to comment about the use of essential oils on the skin. im a licensed esthetician and can tell you no one in the field recommends putting undiluted essential oils on the face. this can be very problematic for people with sensitive skin and other skin conditions.. id really advise discontinuing that practice and sharing it with your viewers. not trying to make you feel bad, i just want to inform people! keep up the great content, and btw loving your hair in this video!
xoxochatterbox the essential oil she used is a blend that is prediluted (coconut oil and avocado oil were the first ingredients) so it's specially designed and marketed for it.
Good tip to not use them undiluted .
Most people do this, but this oil is already diluted.

Lol

Woohoo!!!! So awesome!!!

No I clicked on the video to comment childish and negative comments!😅😂
it’s not 1950 it’s 2019. It’s ok for girls to say they don’t need this shit to be pretty. If you disagree with that in any way that’s kinda wrong.
Maybe because shes making a ton of people feel insecure about themselves
Yay! Thank you, SO MUCH, Shea! Giving me more reasons to hate myself! Now I hate my hairline! 💀💀💀
So great to see a real beauty, with absolutely impeccable makeup application and not that pearly nose and cheeks overdone with highlighter. Loved your video. Very informative.
Kim Kay,I admire your lovely smile
Im no longer interested after she said not to wear baggy clothes 😂
Omg yes that doesnt make sense for me bc im super skinny and baggy clothes look a lot more flattering on me
Me when she said "look feminem... blablabla and make the boys swoon" Eh... ????? Since when do we wanna look good for boys and not for ourself? Oh yeah in the 60's. Hello this is 2018!
ikr😂😂😂😂
demi etc. yes when I am way too thin, like now, I have to make sure not to emphasize it with dark tight clothes.
I LOVED the eyeshadow in the hair tip!
debbie jean mcmullen,You look pretty dear
I am 51, so I have to work a bit harder at keeping my face pretty. I use essential oils, but I take some time to do a facial massage. All of the early morning puffiness and wrinkles fade significantly. As a bonus, it helps my sinuses, too. It has been a game changer for me.
