This is my "retirement grail car".....plus, it has to be comfortable so at least my wife will be willing to ride long distances in it. If not....? her loss. Love those lines! That rear view is fantastic.
@@tomyangnet True....these cars have been off the radar but people are starting to wake up and realize what they truly are. My only hope is that I don't need to "hit all 6" plus the mega number by the time I'm ready to get one. Love your channel and website.....especially the forum! Keep at it!!
@@VadersRage thanks for checking it all out. It seems like I have a lot of Vintage Ferrari content all over the place! I’m glad someone is looking! Good luck with finding a Queen!
Thanks for the digital ride Tom, I love this type of videos. The Queen Mother is a different type of Ferrari - even compared to the previous 250 and 330 - and a bit of an acquired taste actually, but a prime example of a true Ferrari 2+2 nonetheless.
I really like the Queens. They’re long sleek and pretty GT cruisers. I’ve put a ton of mileage behind the wheel of several 365s so there are some good memories. These cars seem to be a bargain right now compared to the earlier models.
@@tomyangnet They definitely drive very well and are much better GT cars than many modern cars that for some reason wear a GT badge... I think it will not take long before collectors start developing an interest in the Queens as they are the last of the low volume V12 2+2 models before the F101 series which was manufactured by the thousands (in total).
@@natantaz the 365GT 2+2 is a far superior car than the 330s and 250s that preceded it. It has strong 4 piston calipers with vented rotors, independent rear suspension, and a pretty reliable cooling system. It’s quite an improvement over the earlier cars where I often have to upgrade to match its reliability.
believe me when i say i'm A 'Novice' when it comes To Vintage Ferrari's...but That's the 1st 'thing' i noticed. The 'low' Riding Rear!...Are The Koni Adjustable Coil-overs Expensive?..Super Clean 'Above Average DRIVER'! ..Engine Sounds GREAT Too!..thanks for Sharing Tom!...cheers from Canada!
Beside the front of the car sitting high, it looks like the tires are the wrong size. There was a guy in Australia rebuilding the load leveler shocks. The load levelers actually work very well when they do work.
Hi Norbert! I’m honored that you’re watching my videos! Yup, I know the guy in Australia and the key phrase is “when they do work!” I think someone replaced the front springs and may have the spring rate wrong. More investigation is needed! Thanks for watching!
The guy in Oz also rebuilt my load levelers when one of them failed, but I didn't re-install them. In the meantime, I installed a set of Monroe Airmax shocks with the tubing and the air valve located in the trunk. Once a year or so, I would take my portable compressor and a tape measure and pump the rear wheel arch to the exact ride height I wanted. At $80, it was the least expensive thing I ever did to the car! The rebuilt original Konis, still in the Oz box, went with the car to the new owner 11 years ago; don't know if he installed them or not!
@@tomyangnet Hi Tom, hope all is good with you. I watch some of these videos from people from all over the world when I have time. You never know what you may pick up and get different people's perspective. I like your videos, very well done. May see you in Cavallino, may be bringing the SWB we had at Pebble Beach this year. Keep up the good work.
I changed out the center bearing on the torque tube and it got a little better. There was still a little bit coming from the rear end, but it wasn’t bad. We’ll watch it and see if it gets worse.
Well as usual...another 15 minutes spent in Ferrari bliss.
My favorite ❤
Magnificent! Thanks for your time and effort to make these videos 🙂
It's definitely a labor of love, but it's fun to show some of the rare cars I get to work on. Thanks for watching!
Good audio balance between voice and vehicle sounds, makes the viewing informative and enlightening; thank you for your efforts.
I'm glad you noticed! I've been working hard on balancing and editing audio with new gear! You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Motor sounds great but I can definitely hear the whine throughout. Very nice!
It’s nice Queen Mother and a good buy. Thanks.
This was not one of my favorite looks for the 2+2 cars. However, it has really started to grow on me. Thanks for the video.
You’re welcome. I think their a hidden gem. Thanks for watching.

I hope your retirement is soon to take advantage of the prices! I personally think they’re undervalued. Thanks for watching.

Nice car. Is the one that was in Redondo Beach, with the long term, same family ownership?
I don’t think so. This car bounced around the country and ended up in CA in the last dozen years or so.
Thanks
