22:00 I need to gain experience to understand how much I'm gonna need. I feel it's gonna be a trail and error for me. Hence why I'm here. Lost too much doing it alone with cloud miners on an s22 ultra
Saw a listing for a AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X 16-Core, 32-Thread on Amazon for $200. Bought it and immediately the the listing changed to $599. Hopefully I receive what I ordered.
At 34:52 you mention about internet connection. Will I need to hard line in to my laptop? I got no ethernet port. I'm doomed. It's been a good half hour brotha. I'm blessed to have came by your channel.
nice video, will you do a video comparison of cpu power consumption of undervolted, and non-undervolted, just to see how much power we can save? since the rig is mining 24/7, every watt matters!
I would reccomend that if anyone listening is going to be mining on GPUs in the future, you can easily just add some risers and a 2nd server PSU to this set up to do so.
Hi, best vid ever seen until now for a cpu rig... Very very good... Congratulations ... Thanks a lot... What MB would you recommend for a Ryzen 5900x ? Just got one and I'm searching for a basic MB not too expensive but compatible... Seems that only newers are good for Ryzen 4th generation... MERCI (from a Belgian follower)
Yeah, it certainly can. It really depends on the coin. For monero it won't be a massive upgrade vs cost. Use a minimum of 8gb low latency and high speed ram and that shoukd be good
@@frigidpeons4816 I prefer to just set my max temp for CPU in the miner software, my chip never throttles anymore(5900x) and gets very consistent performance on base clocks
3950X is great choice but there is NO difference using one or two RAM sticks, it should be at least 8GB, also CL16 or CL14 makes no difference Hashrate is same. There is no point using SSD if you are using HiveOS, USB stick is just fine.
Don't know what coin algorithm you mine but cl14 is a big difference to cl16. After you plug in whatever numbers on a ram calculator(safe or fast) calculation, the difference is huge depending on what fast ram you purchase in 3200ghz to 3600ghz. I have seven 3900x with two running cl16 tuned to 3666ghz with 16gb. Four running cl 14 tuned to 3333ghz. And one running cl14 tuned to 3666ghz. Difference if you XMR mining, hashrate for cl16 at 3666 is 13.8kh. cl 14 at 3333ghz hashrate is 15.1kh. And cl14 at 3666ghz hashrate is 15.5. Now there is no big difference buying cl14 3200 or 3600 for hashrate, but a big difference in cl16 hashrate.
Hi bro ur videos are literally awesome, am a web designer i used to do pc assembly as well. Actually i wish to do cpu rig, will u advice the best efficient configuration, day time i don't have much electricity issue, cos its load on solar.
Ryzen based CPUs have usually been the best for cpu mining so I would get one of those. Ryzen 7 or 9 is probably better but I'm not sure which is the most efficient for mining as it's dependant on what you mine also
@@frigidpeons4816 thanks for the reply, xmr is more profitable i guess. For ryzen 9 5950x, kindly advise me the best economic Mother Board is from B450, X470, B550, X570
I cant create the flight sheet, all the time says "Data load error. retraying... " I tried differerent pools, same result. I created a new account on hive os and happened the same. Any idea? Thank you and sorry about my english.
It sounds like an issue on the Hive os side. You may need to wait and try again later. Sometimes Hive os is overloaded by users and needs a bit to recover
@@frigidpeons4816 i am tring this for two days, can you export any fight sheet configuration of raptoreum with false info, and then i can try to import it and change the wallet and the pool? I am using windows now.
If you buy the hardware at msrp just for mining Raptoreum.. I would probably say no. That being said I'm doing some spec mining of it and have some other rigs mining monero (I think it's slept on).
No, Intel chips are not traditionally strong at CPU mining. Ryzen is going to give you the best performance. Now if you already hve the CPUs it might be worth it on the newer gens
You can remove the gpu when you are done setting everything up. You only need it to setup the bios and verify it mines. After that everything can be controlled from Hive os
really helpful! thanks a lot!
He used the LDT or the Linus Drop Test, Love it lol.
Good video thanks bro!
Appreciate the feedback
Sweet video once again! I actually just set up my CPU rigs as well and we are using the exact same motherboards lol.. excited to see where RTM goes!
Nice! Thanks for the feedback!
RTM moon! the distribution cycle is on the lunar calendar :)

love your content bro! Keep it up!
Thanks!
Thanks for the info.
RTM ftw!
nice video, well explained
I have a Victorian mining rig consist of a Ryzen 9 3900X the AMD cooler Gskill RGB ram small motherboard and a low watt PSU whit a m.2 SSD
Good. Simple. Thanks
No problem!

I sure can!

Yep that's most definitely a great idea if anyone needs to build a gpu mining rig too. Keep those costs as low as possible!
@@frigidpeons4816 its a nice way to scale up your rigs atm, speaking from experience as a new miner
Yep! If I can ever find more GPUs it will be an easy way to expand :)
You never said how you run the miner headless. How is this done? I can't find a VGA by-pass setting anywhere in the bios of AUSU Prime b450m.
Awesome video thanks.
beautiful
plz make video on how to setup a mining rig for saseul

is the cpu speed, core, and thread matter on the hashrate? what is the min. speed and core need to build a cpu rig? thanks
What hapened if use dual socket motherboard put two cpu , it’s possibles get double of Hashrate?
Theoretically, but multi socket boards are only for Xeon or Epyc chips
Got a question does ram speed and amount of memory like 4 gb and 8 or more affect cpu mining
Yeah, it certainly can. It really depends on the coin. For monero it won't be a massive upgrade vs cost. Use a minimum of 8gb low latency and high speed ram and that shoukd be good
Is the ssd only for the hive os????
And how I can that be done with the Kingston ssd
How add more cpu rig
Ryzen 9 5950x + Asus B450... what is the VRM temperature in this configuration?
As for undervolting, Ryzen Master is your friend :)
Yep! That or the uefi

That works too but you may be loosing some hashrate.if that's something you are okay with then I see no problem :)
Where are the links you promised. I was very interested.
in 1869 the museum of natual history was founded in new york city
haha, thanks for that fact!

Where is farmhash ?
Motherboard is factor on hash rate
?? So any pool reaching over 51% is no Bueno???
Basically yep!

Hey, it changes every day. You will need to check the day you want to mine or set a specific coin that you hope to be worth more

Sir can I build this Rig by using Ryzen9 3900xt?? Please reply or shoud I use 3900x instead.
Yep can use either or. The 3900xt might have a slightly better hashrate since it's a bit faster of a cpu compared to the 3900x

No, does not exist
oh no, more difficulty is gonna go sky rocket and not gonna be profitable anymore 🙄
3 months too late, whole video looks just like copy&paste from other RUclipsrs
maybe, BUT I am new and did NOT see any other vids! Just sayin'
Funny because one year into the future this is really relevant
It's not
big cpu cache. there- ive just saved you a bundle. ram ? no motherboard? not really. quality parts - always a good plan
