When I was making my 2nd frame I made it wider and it is so much more comfortable to work on and has way less heat issues.
Great video, I use 4 Risers per dual pcie cable, as long as you monitor if your GPUs are not pulling in excess of the rated max capacity of the cable you're fine, my 3070 rig only pulls 15W per riser, but 3 Risers is worry free/ safer way to go about it

I have not tried this yet but the motherboard itself has its own HDMI port - don't see why you couldn't use that one. You arent gaming so connecting to the GPU isn't really necessary. Right?
6Pins are able to deliver 75W of Power on two 8pins able to get 300w in...no wunder some cables are burning out. A GPU can get 75w from the PCIE means if you split 75W to two risers you will have just 50 percent you need. So there are two options you PSU is able to deliver more..means unsafe for the cables or PSU switches off.
I am kinda confused right now. So I have a 580 8gb which needs a 8 pin a 6 pin which I have. But then, to power the riser what would I need to power that while powering the GPU at the same time lol.
I know profitability can change with electricity cost, what coin you're mining and current price etc...but what is the average profitability of a 12 card guy rig like this? I'm thinking about giving it a try on building one.
Help me out brother, is it ok to connect 6 pin to 8 pin splitter with RX 580 8gb? cause i heard that 6pin connector only have 75 watts? please guide me asap!
How do you get windows 10 to recognize the graphics cards? I have three plugged into a Biostar TB250 but only one is available in the device manager. I have been in the bios and set mining to enabled and set the pci slots to gen1. None of the 2 gpus on the riser cards are visible. The only gpu available is the one plugged into the motherboard. I have swapped out riser cards and usb cables, updated the mobo drivers etc. etc. but nothing works. Do you have any videos on this aspect? This is proving to be the most difficult/frustrating part.
Hi, when you choose for example 6 graphics cards for your rig, must the graphics cards all be exactly the same or can some of them be different so 4 will have 3060 and 2 will have a 3080 ti? When you calculate how much your rig mined, you deduct the cost of electric, silly question is that is it deducted from your household electric supplier or is it deducted from the mining platforms? Assuming i am using 6 3060 rtxs, how do i calculate its hashrate and what is hashrate and how to calculate it on the electric costs? Sounds silly or may have not asked the right questions but as numbers is something im not good at thought it be better to ask the best way i could. Also when I am ready to start mining, could you recommend me which platforms to use and mine via through the cloud or the other way?
@Mining Chamber i have some gtx 560 and gtx 1060 from old pc. Can I still use this for mining amd what coins can I mine with those for a beginner miner thanks
Would like to request that you create a video showing how to setup a 1 or 2 GPU miner. I have been using ASIC miners and would like to kick the tires on a GPU miner. Thinking about this as a proof of concept which is why i am looking setting a 1 or 2 gpu miner. Want the chassis to reflect this. Not looking for a barn burner in turns of performance but to get an idea as to if I want to proceed and build a proper gpu miner.
Need to ask you! Can i convert a pcie x1 or x4 to a pcie x16? I have a msi modo gaming m5 and i want to put 4 3060 with the dev drivers and etc to mine in full hash. Is it possible?
isn't connecting 2 8 pins trough 1 6 pin dangerous? The way I set mine up is 2 6 pins for each gpu, 1 6 pin to the riser and 6 or 8 pin for gpu and 1 6 pin to the 8 pin for the gpu. I'm just scared of damaging equipment or starting fires.
6 pin is 150 watts and 8 pin is 300 watts. So a 220watt 5700xt needs an 8 pin from the psu and can be split among the splitter and the actual power connector on the card. The riser is 75watts. So that's 145 watts from the power connector on the card. (this is his way) So ideally a 6pin to the riser and a separate 8 pin to the card. To be safe. The way he has it if you wanna risk your investment and your house.
My first question: What wattage output is needed for your PSU? Second question: Does it make a difference if we get a motherboard with 8 PCIe X16 slots instead of X1?

Amazing!! Thank you!
you are using a mix of graphic boards - i am not sure how this affects the performance - eg if i use 6 RTX 3060 TI and 6 RX 5700 XT - does this work ? or should i go for a single brand setup like 12 RX 5700 XT ?
Hey mining Chamber would you say a few 1gig gpus will be enough to start?
Can I Use any motherboard or do I need a specific one?
