    I've been on Prolia for 5 years and have just recently found out that it shouldn't be used any longer than 5 or 6 years but I'll be subject to bone fractures by stopping. I've never had a fracture, lift weights 5 days a week, drink only water and maintain a healthy diet. I'm not sure what is my next step. My doctor hasn't ever mentioned anything about getting off Prolia or had any other discussion about alternatives if needed. My last score was-2.5 in lumbar region. I just had both hips replaced in July and October 2023.

    Fluffy bowel movements are considered malabsorption?? But what if you eat a whole foods diet that's high in fiber lots of fruits and vegetables wouldn't that also make bowel movements appear soft and fluffy? I don't understand what ragged edges are ,, now I'm worried if I have malabsorption but I don't have bloating or stomach cramps or anything like that
    I don't eat any junk food or processed food all my food is whole foods, I'm trying to get as much nutrition from diet as I can to heal my bones I have osteoporosis I want to manage it naturally with no meds, I'm worried about what the meaning of fluffy bowel movement was

      There are always exceptions. That said, the Bristol stool chart is a guide. Other Diagnostic tools are needed to determine whether or not you are actively losing bone, such as bone turnover markers. I highly recommend that you join my free Facebook group to learn more regarding appropriate testing for Osteoporosis. Don’t stick your head in the sand. Perhaps your bone quality is good and you are in the gray area. However, I think you want to be sure. Be careful who you listen to regarding “reversing” Osteoporosis naturally.

      @@DoctorLani I'll check out the Facebook group but I really want to treat my bones naturally I don't want to I don't want to take the medication, I had a bone scan done back in March that's how my doctor told me I have osteoporosis and I know it's from years of under eating and over exercising along with digestive issues from severe emotional stress and eating way too much fiber and not drinking enough water I was always dehydrated also I didn't have a menstrual cycle during my 20s I first lost my period when I was 19 when I was eating 500 calories a day and exercising a lot,, as time passed I did increase my calories but never enough to sustain my active lifestyle, my period did come back when I was 32 years old but maybe the damage was already done and still eating under calories that's why my doctor sent me to have a bone scan done at age 39 because she was worried about my eating disordered past, I'm just hoping that now that I've increased my calories and I've gained some healthy weight because I was also underweight I hope that I could strengthen my bones at least a little, I'm terrified of getting fractures ☹️😥

    Depression leads to bone loss?

    • @DoctorLani
      @DoctorLani  2 года назад

      Yes, depression as well as anxiety can lead to bone loss. It depends and not everyone with depression will lose bone. Mild, moderate, severe? Also consider that sometimes people who have significant depression may not be eating well or exercising. We are all individuals and it’s just good to keep in mind that emotional health is important for Our bones and overall health.
