    The first thing that might have been more helpful is to explain the difference between cortical bone and trabecular bone, which is the bone that is at risk for osteoporosis in the spine, hip, and wrists, and it's these bones DXA scans. Here you're talking about all bone being equally affected by structure and density and subject to osteoporosis.

    Is Forteo good to take for osteoporosis? Rather than Fosamax, I had a fracture while on Fosamax for six years. I just trusted my doctor for too long.

    Why didn't you discuss the side effects of these drugs? They are scary!

      Because I can't discuss every topic. If you have read my book you would know that I am a proponent of diagnosis and proper treatment that sometimes may be no medications. However, if someone gets a fracture sneezing that is another matter. Keep in mind, that for some, not taking a medication can result in serious side effects. Always, nutrition, GI health and exercise are the base treatment.
