    INGREDIENTS:
    450g/1 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
    Olive oil
    - marinade -
    5 tbsp yogurt
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp red chilli powder
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
    1 tbsp dried oregano
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp tomato paste
    1 tbsp grated garlic
    METHOD:
    1. First we need to get all the chicken breasts into uniform thickness. You can do this by pounding with a meat mallet/rolling pin or slicing them in half
    2. Mix all the marinade ingredients, taste and adjust seasoning as per your preference. Coat the chicken breasts well and let it marinate for at least 30 mins. For best results, marinate overnight in the refrigerator
    3. In a wide pan/skillet, heat some olive oil on medium flame
    4. When the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts without overcrowding the pan
    5. Fry for 3 mins. If the fillets are thicker, fry for 4 mins
    6. Flip and fry the other side for 2 minutes. By now the chicken is almost done
    7. Cover and cook on low for 1 minute. Switch off the flame and rest for 5 mins. Resting allows the chicken to cool down and reabsorb its juices
    8. Serve it with a refreshing mint yogurt dip (3 tbsp yogurt, 1 garlic minced, 1 tsp mint and salt to taste) or with my quinoa salad. You can also use these chicken breasts in sandwiches/wraps. Enjoy!

    A beautiful recipe. That's how I keep foods like chicken breast and salmon fillets moist; Fry on one side for five minutes over a medium-high heat, turn it over, cover the pan and cook on low-medium heat for another ten or twelve minutes. ALWAYS works.The spices used here are deliciously mild and flavoursome. Thanks for another super recipe.

    Wonderful! And it doesn’t take a lot of oil to achieve this level of moisture. The yogurt does a lot of the heavy lifting here!

    I have chopped boiled chicken in the fridge and some chicken stock. Do you have any recipe ideas with rice that I can use? I like how simple yet mouthwatering your recipes are so thought I'll leave a comment here in case I get any ideas.
    PS: I'm craving that spicy fried rice you made in the other video really bad but it's night time and i have to fast tomorrow so will try another time 🤤

    Excellent work! The marinade is fantastic. The chicken breasts in my local grocer tend to be about 8oz so I slice them in half horizontally and do as you did, gently pound them into even thickness.
    Very well done, I am a subscriber, and I enjoy your channel.

    Love how simple this is to make. Would you suggest piercing the meat with a fork before marinating, to help infuse it with the flavor?
    Also have to give kudos to your music choice in these videos. It doesn't detract from the content, and it compliments the visual 'laid back' aesthetics of your brand. Love that. 🔥💖

    • @breakthespice
      @breakthespice  Год назад +1

      I haven’t tried that before. I wonder if it would create pathways for juices to escape through.. Have you tried it?
      It takes me a lot of time to find the right track sometimes so thanks for appreciating the music 😁♥️

    • @OneRedFeatherStudios.
      @OneRedFeatherStudios. Год назад

      @@breakthespice - I HAVE tried it. Where I'm from in our part of the world, that is a technique that we use to infuse the meat with as much of the marinade flavor as we can. It helps tremendously I find.
      The music in many cooking videos, tend not to pair well with the content. Oftentimes it's something too uptempo or wildly disparate from the tone of the video itself. So when I saw how well your music always compliments your stuff, I had to give you those kudos. It makes for a better experience as a viewer. Amazing job.
