- After taking a break from the layout I've managed to get started on some more scenery. Still quite a bit of work remains but I'm pleased with the result so far.
Next time I'll continue to build this area up or switch to a rolling stock project I've started. Should have another vid ready in the next few weeks. Cheers
NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL AM VERY IMPRESSED NOW GOING BACK TO SEE AS MANY OF YOUR OLD VIDEOS AS I CAN FIND
Absolutely love the idea of the fake tunnel mouth for the branch line illusion...that’ll look absolutely brilliant!
"Newspaper is made of paper." Truly words of wisdom.
I've been really enjoying your content. I found your channel a few days ago, and have been binge watching this series. It's basically nullified any worries I had about landscaping when I start my layout. Keep up the cracking work and stay safe!
Brilliant and so inspirational, the illusion created by the branchline disappearing under the mainline is a 100% success.
Having a break from a project or hobby is important sometimes enforced is not a bad thing, remember it’s a hobby
Look after yourself Eltel (Terry)
Very reassuring to see that you wing it like the rest of us. Because of the high quality of your modelling I had assumed it was all carefully planned with no errors and all perfect first time. Very interesting and enjoyable.
I just can't get enough of your videos. Very interesting to watch and give me ideas of what can be achieved in model railroading. Thanks 👍👍☺️
Fantastic bit of work there. Your thought train (no pun intended) really ends up with a small bit of the scenery that looks just like real life - as does your whole layout. Thanks for the time taken to create these videos as they are so enjoyable to watch.
That was most enjoyable to watch. The bridge looks great and looks most natural. Giving that illusion that the branch line continues straight is a stroke of genius. 43 minutes of pure Everard magic. Keep well, Clint
Great to see another video of your most realistic layout. The 117 unit looks good and it would be nice to see a review video on it.
I completely understand what you mean regarding burnout, I paint pictures and you can always feel it coming. After it has passed though I seem to return more keen than ever! Love your videos and thank you for creating them.
I try to stop before it kicks in. Like you say you tend to come back more motivated than before. Works well, kept me in the hobby for 10 years.
Well worth the wait. Absolutely brilliant video 👍. 28:16. Don’t sell yourself short - I think you do an amazing job.
Superb work. The bridge and embankment cutting looks great and the optical illusion of the line disappearing is inspiring. Thanks for taking the time to put the video together to show how it’s all done.
Congrats on surviving the Chinese Bug. And of course for surviving summer up there. Didn't realise it had gotten so hot, still on 20C down here but summer is just around the corner. Lovely bit of modelling too.
Damn man your skills are fantastic as well as your eye for detail. I like the way you can redo landscaping and blend it all together. Can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks Richard, Another Excellent Video .It's looking Great mate 👍Regards Tony🇦🇺
Great video Richard, thanks for all the time and effort to create it. Great idea with the cutting, looks very effective. Cheers, Timmo
That attention to detail that you have really makes the difference between a good model and a minature copy of the real thing. Well done. I know I'm going to follow some of your thoughts, even if my actual craftwork will never be as good as you.
All your vidio's are brilliant Richard well worth the wait, yours skills inspire us all Thank you Regards Alan Massie
Nice one Richard, well worth waiting for. The scenic illusion on the branch works a treat. Love the way the branch snakes it's way down from the main line. Typical, waited ages for the 117 then it comes when we're dealing with furlough! Fab model but a bit out of reach at moment, maybe they'll do another run if this lot sells through. Looking forward to the next one, regards Bobby 'T'.
Excellent Richard. Thanks very much for the tutorial. The entrance to the bridge does look a lot better now that it’s widened out. I’m sure there’s many people, like me, who watch your videos again just before attempting creating scenery. It’s a great help. Thanks.
Jim
Worth the wait Richard. I sometimes forget I’m looking at a model great realism, then your hand comes into shot. Love the layout, I’m now around 45 minutes late with my day, who cares 🤣😂🤣😂
Totally fascinating and engrossing, therapeutic even. Power to you, matey.
Wonderful attention to detail. Your videos are a masterclass in how to. Thank you. Looking forward to the next installment.
I have no idea how I ended up here but this is so interesting and it's great to see people passionate about what they do. :)
I like the idea of the illusion that the branch line goes off straight to infinity and the terrain to draw the eye away from the turn into the yard. I always look forward to ur videos! Nicely done!
Looking great
Please stop apologising for the time taken to produce the videos. You’re still much quicker than Amazon getting out the next Grand Tour episode. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the next scenery video.
Hello Richard; I look forward to your videos with anticipation rather like that of a hungry man waiting for his dinner! :-) Your format is solid and the content informative There is no need for "unboxing / review" videos as there are many others with that type of channel out there. Keep doing what you do,,, we'll watch with interest. Great job on this one Richard. Thanks!
As always, Richard, superb, thank-you!
I loved the scrap-yard.
And all of it!
Ps the banking of the curve, before, really leads the eye in.
Brilliant work on the bridge, looks sensational. Everard Junction videos are always worth the wait!
I'm very happy to see your videos when they come out. You are very inspiring to watch. Thank you
So lovely to have you back ... love your channel .. x
The track camber on the branch as it comes out from under the bridge is absolutely brilliant!
Building in situe and making changes in situe is often a bit of a bugger but you've done brilliantly. Mightily convincing results.
Enjoyed watching, many thanks. :)
Woohoo an Everard Junction video. Just made my Monday much better. Thanks Richard.
Worth the wait. New home for my layout not arrived yet and a lot of restructuring to do.. Inspired by your efforts.
Brilliant scene composition and well thought out addition to the layout. Been watching Everard since you tore out the old and began this one. Probably some of the best tutorials I’ve seen. I especially enjoyed watching your episode where by you introduced all of your rollingstock collection. Particularly fascinating to me.
Good to see you back and once again another fantastic video 👍
Nice to see you back and that another nice little job done. I am working away from home again so "Yorkdale" has been all packed away again. Still making some models in my free time. I have too many already, but I can then pick and choose. Best wishes. Martin. (Thailand)
One detail that would change it so much more is leaking water stains from the rails and the hillside above down the brick walls on enterance and inside the tunnel. And a few cheeky graffiti on the walls from yobbos but it’s stunning work edvard true inspiration
So cool Richard. Was worried for you regarding the long delay and general happenings. Really good to see all is fine. Great modelling, looks just awesome.
Great work Richard, nice illusion, works well, take care ,Mac
Hi Richard, glad to see and hear you, it’s been awhile but these are unusual times and we are willing to wait, even though some of us are a little pushy.
Interesting the warehouse building in a couple of shots it looked very convincing, and appeared to have a roof line fitted. Also the branch tunnel turned out great, even a bit of perspective, planned of course. Regarding your reviews, yes a lot of channels are out there, but yours far surpass them in contain, and depth review detail. This update was definitely worth the wait, thanks for sharing.
Richard you're an inspiration and a credit to the model railway hobby, my definate favourite youtube channel. I always wait in anticipation for your next video upload. Keep up the excellent work and thank you so much for sharing your hobby with us fellow hobbiests. The branch line bridge/tunnel looks great!
Well done Richard, great work with the sculpture mould, look forward to the finished Article.
Looks fantastic
I’m so glad your back, I was worried you had stopped, but like others said it was worth the wait!
Billy
I thought he'd retired! lol
Well worth the wait to see what you've done! I really like the effect of the branch line seeming to go somewhere rather then just disappearing.
Take your time. Your progress videos are always a treat , especially now in 2020. Didn’t much notice the long time since the last.
Excellent rail movie! Thumbs Up Best Regards from France Bruno
Hi Richard. I really enjoyed that. Thks for sharing.
GREAT JOB!!! That was a lot of work and time, thanks for all the hard work that you put in to do this video!!
Great stuff, glad you're alive. The branch line development looks brilliant, well done for taking some time out. We were missing you.
Welcome back. Love the "upgrade" on the bridge overpass. As someone utterly ignorant of UK trains, I always love stories and backgrounds of train models like a 117, and any vid you do is great, but only if it fits what you're doing. I myself have been off work since March 23, and finally get back this week. I hope you and yours have stayed safe. Cheers.
Thanks, I'll see if I can sort something regarding the 117. I was fortunate in being able to return to work in May. Hope getting back into it goes well for you. Strange having that much time off work!
@@EverardJunction I hate to bother you, but I do hope you see this and can reply with a "yes.". I would like your "approval." We are doing a parody song, and we want to title it "Everard Junction." The song is to the tune of The Beatles "Paperback Writer," and it was just kismet that your channel/layout name fit the rhythm perfectly. It is not a parody of you, but a funny view of a RUclips model train fan wanting to emulate you. (Much like the song itself is about a guy wanting to be a paperback writer). We've done a lot of parody songs mixing comic lyrics with classic pop/rock songs online lately, but as you are the first actual RUclips channel we have named, we didn't want to do it without you either approving or at least having been warned. I realize you are a very busy and private person, but have also shown a great sense of humor and intuitive humor as well. We had no other way to get in contact, so I thought I would try here. We would never do anything derogatory about any channel or person. It's just that your name came up as soon as we started the lyrics and it fit to the song perfectly, and we courteously ask if you would mind us going forward with the video.
Wow! thats amazing layout!..... looks real, very nice....thanks for sharing.
Such a fantastic looking layout, I’ll never have the time and space to build something this grand but always nice to see others
In Kent where I used to live we was close to the hs1 where it crossed the Medway the concrete bracing areas that you are modeling are in an abundance one near blue water too I’m now near market Drayton and there are quite a lot of new ideas to model with 4track main lines 2 track branch lines and single track lines too love the videos and content been watching from first videos of original layout keep up the great content 😊👍🏻
Definitely do a video on the class 117. The vast majority of other you-tubers aren’t as concise or have the same presence as you do and it doesn’t really matter what others get up to, this is your story.
Cheers, will see what I can do
Well done and welcome back great video.
Regards
David
Great job again Richard, like the way the branch flows on the layout. Like the idea of the concrete supports, however you could do a mini version of the bird cage at Road cutting on the WCML. Also the for ground area in the front of bridge might be a nice location for some kind of disused railway infrastructure. Something like an old signal box for example . Just a couple of ideas but great so far once again and looking forward to next video.
Been a while Richard but worth the wait. Looking dam good & right decision made with keeping branch line tunnel to a single entrance. I actually googled pics when you mentioned it on last video 😂
Harder than seats on a Thameslink service ! Brilliant , bloody brilliant. Nice detailing . Nice video.
Looking great Richard. My memories of the 117 was as they burst through the road bridge at Hayes and Harlington station and then the noisy journey to PDN to see some Westerns. One of your videos on the 117/121 would be good.
Love your very thinly veiled sarcastic humour, great video!
Good to see you back, sir. Look forward to watching this later. I'm sure it'll be fantastic, as usual. And uploaded just in time for my wife's birthday too. She says "Thanks, it's just what I've always wanted!" lol
Haha! Happy Birthday to your wife, cheers.
Wow the new section looks amazing, looking forward to seeing rest of that area completed, keep up the great work. Big thumbs up!!!
Great to see a layout update and good to here your ok 👍🏼
Missed these videos, my favourite model railway channel on RUclips. Please keep up the outstanding work and inspirational videos
Awesome Richard, still have to be one of my favourite layouts with all the detail you include. Great tutorial for anyone both new and old hand at it, regards, Chris
I thumbs up your videos before I've even watched them, for two reasons...
1. I know the videos are gonna be good before I even click play.
2. While never having had a train set in my life, and never aspired to own one, I'm insanely jealous of this set up, and all the work that's gone into it! :-D
One of the "go to" channels for the average modeller. In my humble opinion.
Thanks.
Bob
Welcome back Richard, thanks for sharing the latest update, scenery looks superb
Glad you’re still employed during these weird times. Thanks for another great video!
Very nice. I like the work you do. You put a lot of time and effort in to this layout.
Yay, another everard junction video. Really enjoy watching these and look forward to them. Thank you.
Well worth the wait, excellent video and great attention to detail. Always look forward to your videos.
Very enjoyable Richard ... very helpful
love the view of the bridge at 36:56... looks like a branch line in the country.
I was just thinking how you were getting on. Looking amazing! Thanks Richard.
That's lunch time sorted. Now where's the big screen lol.
Your videos have become addictive so I missed my fix the last three months. This one was well worth waiting for. And yes please to a 117 video.
That was a joy to watch. Its given me inspiration to tackle some awkward areas on my layout that keep getting put off..
Great to see this, I also have a branchline on my layout similar to this, lots to take in and take inspiration from. Thanks!
Amazing modelling👍😊
Well done mate......excellent as always.....!!
Modelling masterclass! Thanks for the continued inspiration! 👍
Great update Richard! Thanks for sharing this video. Cheers Onno.
Just found your channel...great train videos...!!!
I stumbled across new junction and say the meeting he did with you, and I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since (I’m that weird guys that’s been liking your videos daily from like 3 years ago) and when I saw you had just upload a new video I just said out loud “finally” stopped what I was doing and now I just need a cuppa and I’m set!
Cheers, glad you enjoyed the vids. Apologies for the boatload of ads RUclips switched on in July. I've just found out. Affected videos are being changed back asap. Thanks
@@EverardJunction i dont mind, worth watching some ads for the content.
Another great video of another one of your great layouts!
Sir, you are the master of scenic spoodge!
Morning Richard. So glad you've been able to return to work. I've been furloughed a few times and it's been a pain. But it gave me an opportunity to work on my layout but nothing as impressive as yours lol 😂 I've always enjoyed watching your videos. That branch line bridge is looking fantastic 👍🏻 Cheers Stevie 😎
Thanks Stevie, only got furloughed for 8 weeks so count myself lucky. Hope everything works out for you and the family. Cheers
Glad to see you are back Richard and keeping well. Thank you for the video.
Good to see you back, Richard.
I have to admit , I was sad when you took down the old layout . However this new layout blows my mind buddy 👍 amazing work my friend always look forward to your next video ! Stay safe and keep it coming !
Well worth the wait. Thank You Richard
Another top video of a first class layout! Thanks Richard..
A very cleverly worked out solution, brilliantly executed. Well worth waiting for. Thank you.
YES PLEASE on the Bachman. Great video, thanks for sharing. A lot of work gone into that, looks great.
Looks stellar and very natural. On mention of a 'third rail' for the line, I somehow thought of a catch rail such is the curve, though clearly you meant electrification. I can't personally remember seeing many people modelling catch rail so it'd be a fun chat either way. Regards
