This is opening week promotion(coinciding w/Drew's 10th anniversary as host of TPIR), in place of the regular $1000, contestants would get $10k, bonus spin after 1 dollar was still 25k, and 10k for green sections.
Why? There's an episode where someone won a double showcase by guessing the price of his showcase perfectly..He was on the mark. Find that episode and then ask if there was anything fishy about that.

However, it's a stretch to think that contestants are THAT skilled, although on their second/third spins they do have a tiny bit more experience (1-2 spins versus 0) spinning the wheel, which gives them a slight advantage. I concede that the odds are probably better than random. I can't imagine they're that much better, but I could be wrong for sure! :)

No. There are hundreds of photos behind the wheel and there is no brake. There is footage of the wheel spinning from behind the wheel. No brake. I have spun that thing before and anyone who tries to finesse it is wasting time. It is not rigged. No brake that a producer or whatever can control. And it is preset by the producers when they set up the wheel. For a spinoff like what happened here, Drew resets it. I can assure you it is not rigged.

They all spun the wheel at different strengths. clearly they rigged the wheel. Meaning they can rig the wheel anytime/any game.
