Y’all don’t even know how powerful this album was in real time! K Dot has a special, timeless album
facts timeless
CD was on REPEAT in the whip!
The art of peer pressure is fuckin insane man, love that song.
kendrick dont miss man
That Jay Rock verse is legendary as well, maybe the best on the album and it was actually found recently that Kendrick ghost wrote. I think you can definitely hear it but only Jay Rock could've delivered it like that to reach legend status
Jay Rock was actually the first signed to TDE as well. He blew up with Hood Gone Love it in 2011
Has it actually been confirmed anywhere that Kendrick ghostwrote that verse? I only saw it claimed when it came out that Kendrick ghostwrote for Keem but haven't seen or heard any proof yet. I haven't paid that much attention so it's totally possible I've missed it.
@@puupipo theres no reference track for it but considering how many there were in the video that surfaced from the same leaker claiming he had them i would say so
Im sure Kendrick didnt write the whole thing but he probably wrote the first half or quarter so and the beginning of the verse def sounds like a kendrick flow
Kendrick also wrote Kings Dead and theres a reference track you can find online for it of him doing Jay Rocks verse
we will check it out
This is totally false. jay rock wrote this verse 100 percent lmao. And jay rock has been rapping waaaaaaaay longer than 2012 lil bro
@@dirtybirdxx its not, go online and you can hear for yourself, cope harder
First Album i ever gave 10/10, when i heard this, literally liked all songs even tho all didnt make the playlist
In MAAD city, the first half of the song is supposed to be him high on the cocaine laced blunt, then the second half he “wakes up” and realizes this is the reality, not just a drug induced view. That’s why you hear him say “wake up”
There is so much depth to every single song on this album, it’s insane.
thank you for this insight
With the Kendrick vs Drake thing, Kendrick doesn’t drop as much bc he makes sure his albums are exactly how he wants them, telling a story each time. That takes time. Drakes has ghost writers try to make him an album of hits while Kendrick likes to express the art of hip hop…Drake will never compare.
Dre did some mixing and was the executive engineer for this album but he didn't produce any of the songs.
I don't think Kendrick's album was eligible for submission at the 2013 Grammy's because it released late 2012 so it had to be 2014. The fact that Macklemore beat out not only GKMC, but Yeezus and NWTS for Best Rap Album is one of the biggest blunders in Grammy history imo.
ohhh okok
Yea, gray beard doesn't know what he's talking about
I highly recommend Smino - Luv4Rent. It's one of my favorite albums that came out this year
will doooo
The Art of Peer Pressures beat wasnt made by dre. It was produced by a danish rap group called Suspekt for their track “Helt Alene”. Kendrick got it from them
ohhhh thx
Quick cameo from path reacts at 9:17
Yeah, what was that about?
Yo wtf, What's up with that
One last comment lol cause B Square was wondering
M.A.A.D = My Angel on Angel Dust as stated by Kendrick himself and at the end of the last verse on maad city
thank you
@@treylife_ It also stands for My Angry Adolescence Divided
B Square who are you then?!? We have to know for the Trey canon lol
Part 2 for sure! A classic and Kendrick’s magnum opus in my eyes!
Lmao right like I needa know the origin stories 😂
lmaooo
Macklemore won rap album the year this came out over yeezus, this, and 4:44 i think which is wild af! But macklemore came out and apologized lol but that just adds to why many ppl can't take the grammys seriously
Favorite songs are: Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, Money Trees, and my fav by far Sing About Me, Im Dying Of Thirst
Jay Rock came out in like 08. He had a song with Wayne back in the day.
Fasure. I was a freshman in high school. Wayne was that 🗣️ . I been rockin wit TDE since All My Life 💯
The old dude tripping
That jay roc verse yall feeling ...Kdot wrote that but new to the channel . I'm vibin with yall
Do MBDTF next since Trey has never heard it!
The Big Steppers Tour was so fucking lit!!!
That Mac Miller recognition though. Bro knows lol. Tuned in
Great reaction. Please react to Mick Jenkins the waters (his most celebrated work) or elephant in the room (his newest). Mad underrated. Many can’t rap like him. Loved his last album
On my granny grave that nigga should be world famous by now.
getting lost in those caramel apple spices
most underrated
@@2.nonchalant825
dre was not the producer for majority of these songs. just letting you know!! good reaction
Top 3 for me are maad city, Money Trees and Backseat Freestyle
Kendrick light yearssssssss ahead of drake no cap.
is bro a time traveller
9:13 PATH REACTS VID LMAOOO
Side note, Kendrick wasn’t dissing on the Control verse. The real diss is if he didn’t mention you. He was naming the rappers he considered competition, he was just saying he wants to be so good that nobody can deny he’s the best.
MBDTF IS EASILY YE’S BEST PROJECT!!
facts
i love the reaction
Great reaction!
Was so convinced B square was pops lmaoo Would've been like he a dope ass pop
we got that one hundred like gimme part 2 😭

Don't kill my vibe is not touching majority of these tracks on this album..especially art of Peer pressure, backseat, good kid, sing about me...but yall gotta listen to don't kill my vibe remix
Hell yeah i want a part 2!

bett
His reaction to GKMC losing to macklemore was literally everyone 😭
factss like how
JID 100p got influence from Kendrick pretty sure he talks about it
facts
they beefing now hahah
Eminem called this album a "masterpiece".
it really is
No way old head hated on the intro
Old head would appreciate Ab Soul verse on Russ' Who Wants What
Timing is everything but you got this when it came out it would have been something else .
Dr Dre didn't do much . Top Dawg should be and is the head of this album
You had to be there when it dropped. IVE BEEN a dedicated fan since #HiiPoWeR
kendrick too good
Most of the songs are not produced by dre
✊🏿
Literally irritates me that yall aren't looking at the album credits just saying anything like give Dre props. You owe the real producers the shout out
Bro calm down 💀
@Treylife _ I can't!!!! Yall but mostly gray beard got me on maximum irritation. I'm more than half way through the reaction. Hopefully he doesn't make ant more silly comments.
Yo Pause Joe , let video ride and the point is to have real time reaction and conversation. And I’m not out to prove any toughness and nigga shit. The link me and my youngest are bringing is to have dialogue through music and live. Again real time so your interpretation of mistakes may occur. You feel me
Dont disturb my vibe,???
the art of peer pressure beat was actually brought from ruclips.net/video/TozGKhpKd7E/видео.html&ab_channel=TabuTV
Where is part 2???? And how is mr morale dropping b4 part 2
