Those portrayals pose some deeply philosophical and historical questions, such as:
- What makes the Citadel of Ricks susceptible to populism?
- How does Evil Morty’s populism manifest within the existing political structure of the Citadel?
- What real-life leaders might have served as the inspiration for the portrayal of Evil Morty?
This video attempts to answer those questions and more. In the process, we also analyze how power struggles and social hierarchies develop and resolve in the world of Rick and Morty, and how Rick’s inherent rebelliousness becomes manifest.

Define populism.
Funny enough, he doesn't define it until 2/3 through the other video, and he pretends its 100% bad, after listing legitimate reasons to be for it. This dude is a weird one. I.forget what video had me sub to him, but I've found him to be an odd lefty most of the time. Maybe left libertarian at times, but mostly just left.
wish I read this first so I didn't have to watch lol
@@mfmageiwatch I think there's a group of people behind these videos. To me some of the videos on this channel of the economy professor are gold.
It means people vs the elite...maybe?
@@naigcivor1160 it does, but this guy thinks the elite are a made up bad guy, a boogie man. After all we have seen and been through the past few years. He's blind.
interesting video for sure!!
It's fiction.
Populism is the opposite of authoritarianism...so how are you going to make a video saying populism is bad, because it lead to authoritarianism in your opinion in this episode? That is nuts.
Populism is the direct precedent to the rise of innumerable dictatorships, Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany being two of the most obvious historical examples. It's a pretension of catering to the needs of the people when, in actuality, it serves merely to gather popular support for unjust and coercive actions.
It depends on the populist movement
@@iwrn33 yeah, I watched the other video. He pretends they are all bad by default, despite listing reasons why they aren't
@@mfmageiwatch I know the video could be better and more clear
@@iwrn33 so.. it's kinda a meh video.
LMAO, No.
"Dangerous Populism" LMAO, give me a freaking break.
