The controller has it's own sound thingy, but if u right click on the "speaker" icon on you computer and select sounds and then go to PLayback and select your headset as "Set Default" it probably gonna work

How come I cant talk or hear Discord while I have it open?
rightclick on the speakers icon to the right and click open audio settings and change it back to your speakers / headset, because the audio will go over to the controller when connecting it to your pc

Your pc is setting your Controller as default speakers. Select your sound settings and change your default speakers from wireless controller.

Check your drivers either data, usb or bluetooth. If you're on windows 7 theres another step which is step 2.

+MetalSonicGamerX200 It's most likely that you're plugging your PS4 controller usb into a usb 3.0 I was having the same problem with DS4 just flat out not working. I switched the USB port I was using to a USB 2.0 and I got the orange light and DS4 detected the controller for the first time.

+MrShoe it still doesn't work for me, I get the orange light when I connect the controller but DS4 doesn't recocnise it and now with share play on PC it still doesn't recognise my controller :c
Co G When you plug in your PS4 controller does your computer make a noise to show it detects it? If so just run DS4 and it should work. If not maybe try a fresh reinstall of DS4, there's an option in the DS4 settings to reset the driver dialogue option so click that and try reinstalling the drivers. Hope this helps!

Plug your headset into your controller or right click the sound icon in the taskbar and select the second at the top then you click on your Speakers/Computer/Headset or something that its named and press "Set as Default"
its worked untill i started the ds 4 program
When you connect your controller, the audio output automatically changes to the DS4's. Change the output back to your speakers. Simple as that.
just go to audio devices and choose for device output other device cause it auto changes it to the ps 4 controller
