Anyone playing bach must understand the rich emotions throughout his compositions. I would serve bach like a disciple just to have an opportunity to please in even a learned way, the hearts of my superiors and authorities. Thank you for your love sir, you inspire us daily. 🙏🏻
Bach wrote this piece as part of an orchestral suite. In 1871 August Wilhelmj's transposed the music to C major so that it could be played on the first violins G string. Strange how this piece is always know by this title even when played on an organ. Have to say you played this brilliantly and the sound recording was first class.
@@philipaggesen You are very welcome. People have got so used to this title they never question it. Anyway it sounds better than Bach's air in D major !
If I had to pick one favourite single piece of all of J. S. Bach's compositions, it would be this. You play this wonderfully. It makes us feel that "everything is allright". Thank you!
@@philipaggesen ruclips.net/video/rzTT5M8zBu4/видео.html This is also the theme of the Air on the G string. I reacted on "Everything 's gonna be alright!"
@@philipaggesen Sweetbox?! No, I never intended to compare your rendition to that pop song. But I do confess - mea culpa - that I like Johann Sebastian Bach in many shapes and forms. For example, I like the English ensemble "Art of Moog" or quite a lot of pieces on the CD with the rather odd name "Red Hot Bach".
@@philipaggesen ich würde gerne auch einmal mit Hauptwerk spielen. Leider habe ich nicht den richtigen computer dafür und als Schüler auch nicht das Geld mir einen leisten zu können.

I'm going to run out of new comments this evening! There will be a surfeit of "lovely," "delightful" and the like I'm afraid. But this is one of Bach's pieces that never fails to touch my heart. Bronislaw Huberman did a wonderful version of it on the violin, and this is a lovely organ version. Thanks, Philip. What a relaxing evening this is becoming, listening to such great music.

Hi Joshua. There are not there but inside a software program called Hauptwerk, which plays sampled and recorded sounds. So I am sitting at a glorified MIDI keyboard :)
Hi Christian. If you play piano and leap to the organ is actually not that hard. Well of course you need to get the food work in order but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it if you practice!
