The perfect coordination between the manuals and the pedalboard gives the Allegro in the beginning and the conclusion a great discursiveness. The Largo is always cause for deep meditation. Impeccable execution as always, for which I confirm my admiration and praise.
Dear Carlo. What a wonderful comment to read. The largo is really also a magnificent movement which I also love very much. I studied Doselaar's rendition and found many of this ornaments so appealing that I copied them into my rendition.
Suonare l organo tra mani e piedi è un vero gioco di prestigio. Ho imparato che il grande Bach era arrangiatore di brani di Vivaldi. Complimenti ALL esecutore....
Perfect tempi...one of the best performances of this work I've ever heard...you draw attention to the music instead of yourself...a rare approach in this day and age.
A sublime and hauntingly beautiful performance. This was not a work I appreciated up to now but after your performance I can now experience it in a new light.
Hallo Philippe, I remember very well this amazing Bach's Cantata and I've listened it for the first time in far 1982. Infact it is the first song of Walter Carlos' tape record played with synthesizer. "Electronic Bach". I've this tape yet, even if it belongs to the another era!!!! But I have a tape player Technics. Many greetings and compliments for this divine musics!!!!😉😉👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You've done it again, Philip - of the many recordings I've heard of this work, your ranks among the best, I'd say equal first place with Daniel Chorzempa and Jos van der Kooy.
@@RalphLooij It was recorded in the Westerkerk in Amsterdam, probably quite a long time ago - the date on my mp3 file is 6th January 2012, and it certainly wasn't new then. I could send you the file if that's possible without getting into trouble due to copyright issues (probably none, as the recording doesn't appear to be commercially available anymore.)
Dear Alejandro. Thank you so much for your kind comment. Some months ago I knew I had to play a recital with only transcriptions and when I browsed the transcriptions by Bach after Vivaldi I knew that I wanted to play this. It speaks more to me than the more popular one in a minor (which still is very good ;-)
Pięknie dobrany sample set do utworu. I słychać, że UMIESZ rejestrować! Moje gratulacje, to była przyjemność, żeby wysłuchać twojego nagrania. Podoba mi się też lekkość twojej techniki gry.
This is really quite a great recording. You know I like Noordbroek a lot but to be honest it was never the perfect Bach set for me but with this piece I am completely convinced. Of course great tempo, registration and articulation from you. As always :-).
Dear Nils-Ole. Thank you and yes Noordbroek can seem a bit limited in its overall sound at first but it always win me over in the end when I compare it to other baroque sample sets. I have tried playing on one of Grabowski's latest sample set, Nitra, and when I load up Noordbroek afterwards the quality of the sound just easily make me want to use Noordbroek. Some organs just sound better.
@@philipaggesen I completely agree. It is a wonderful set. I would go so far as to say that no better set exists in this lower price range (at least I do not know one 😉)
Thanks for this, Philip. What a beautifully atmospheric opening! But, of course, it's all equally lovely. Thanks so much - and belated congratulations on hitting the 1,000 subscriber figure.😄
It's a wonderful piece I started working on, without conviction... unlike you ! You achieved an awesome performance out of this masterpiece ! Bravo Philip !
Oh yes indeed - this work has always fascinated me - and your performance and registration is one of the best I have heard. I love that opening motif - the parts delicately dancing around. Beautiful, haunting, registration for the second movement; sparkling conclusion! Thank you!!
When I had to find out which transcription by Bach/Vivaldi I wanted to learn, it was the very beginning of this work that really captivated me. The duet between the two voices is very intriguing. THANK you Jerry for your kind support!!
Thanks for this terrific rendition, Philip. As many already said, I've heard many recordings of this piece. Every recording has its strength, depending on the organ it is played on. In this case it is your persistance and control of this piece, even in the hard parts, where you sometimes wish for a third hand or 11th finger. Noordbroek sounds fine here, not the perfect Bach organ for me, but your registration choices make it certainly work. Thanks!
Perfect tempo and registration. Truly musical❤
So grateful to read your comment. I glad you liked it!
Great! Love the tempo. Not rushed, and very musical. And again, the organ sounds perfect!
So kind of you to write that! 😌

Philip I love the very restrained opening - the echo effect is marvelous
Thank you Michael. It was actually also the very beginning of this transcription that motivated me to start learning it!

WOW Andrew. That means a lot for me to get that kind of feedback from you. Thank you so very much!! It's pretty wild to be compared to those two.
I didn't know the recording of Jos van der Kooy, where can I find it?

Hi Peter! Yes, the sample set is pure great sound!

Brilliant. The fugue was spectacular 😊!

Among all the Bach transcriptions for organ concerto this is one is my ultimate favorite. Wonderful tempo and elegant playing, Philip. Bravo!

@@philipaggesen Freiberg, Poblet at the moment. Maybe Noordbroek, but it misses some Gravität which Bach liked. Especially in the 16' plenum.
I think Freiberg could be my next buy!
