If I'm not mistaken, this appears to be a sophisticated MIDI controller made of wood, equipped with three manuals and a pedalboard, working in tandem with a computer to produce sampled sounds. This setup allows for emulating the experience of playing a real organ, using digital technologies to faithfully recreate the richness and variety of the original instruments' sounds. It's fascinating to see how modern technology can bring classical music and organ practice into home environments, making it accessible to a wider audience.
You're absolutely correct! I am so happy that I have bought this instrument because it allows me to practice at home and not commute to the church every time I need to play!
Philip love the opening stops - your steady pace is so commendable some give into the temptation to rush this - you hold it under control so the melody shines through in the left hand and pedals - BRAVO Philip. Please play more Bach.
Thank you very much Andrea. Yes you definitely can find some in a much faster tempo but this one felt natural to me. Thank you very for much for commenting and watching!
I have heard this piece innumerable times already, in all kinds and shapes, but I have to say this is the first time really love and cherish it! I don't know how you do it - in part it's the right choice of tempo - but your rendition sounds overwelmingly beautiful and glorious! Again, your art brings tears of joy into my eyes. Thank you!
Dear Andreas. What I can I say when I read such kind words but a huge thank you. You write with such gratitude which humbles me greatly. I was so happy and moved by your fine feedback. Thank you very much for your support. It really means a lot!!!
Oh yes, I started this fugue some time ago, if only I had had lessons, then maybe I could do it. It's beautiful how you play it! Thanks a lot for this!
What an exciting sound - I didn't realize Nordbroek could do this too - fabulous! And I love your controlled tempo - all the excitement and fire is there! 😊
Thank you. This is the piece that kindled my love of classical music in general and baroque organ in particular in 1978. I thoroughly enjoyed your rendition.
Noordbroek is decidedly ideal for much of Bach -- as is your registration! It's as if you've taken us back to Arnstadt to hear the master himself! One of my favorite moments in this fugue is where the subject comes in the tenor in the relative major (B-flat - 2:04). I love how you phrase it to make the subject sing throughout.
¡Me conmovió mucho tu amabilidad! ¡Gracias por tomarse su tiempo para comunicarse!
The original audio is actually on this organ half a tone higher by design. Noordbroek is voiced that way if you went to the church and heard it being played.
@@philipaggesen Is that a common thing among church organs? I often hear a pitch shift in church organ videos and I always assumed the audio itself was shifted
@@philipaggesen Hi, unfortunately I've been playing for just 1 year and 7 months so all the pieces I know are just the toccata in d Minor and 2 pieces by Hans Zimmer, all of these self taught. I started on January with actual organ lessons. My favourite repertoire to listen to are fugues for sure, I like the mathematical complexity behind them, hopefully one time I'll get to play some Bach fugues.
Noordbroek is a really really good sample set I use for almost every Bach I want to record unless I need the grandness. And you're completely right: it sounds very authentic. I mostly use the rear perspective. I think 80% of the sound is from that perspective. Thanks Richard and for all the wonderful work you do!
Hi. The organ is an electric home organ from Noorlander. I bought it 2 years ago I haven't regretted it one bit :) All 3 keyboards are places where you can have different sounds mixed. It is the same octaves but organ can be vastly different so they often sound very distinct from each other. Thank you so much for commenting!
@@philipaggesen thank you so much, I’m 25 and pianist and aspiring organist, I’ve been given the chance to play on a real pipe organ once when I was less experienced, now I struggle to find a piano/keyboard that could even come close to replicating the sound one. This may be exactly what I was looking for 🙏🏻🙏🏻
¡Gracias!
Soy yo quien también te lo agradece!
Bach will never die, because of people like you. His work will live. Thanks.
Hi Philippe. I wholeheartedly agree. Bach will always be around!! As it should be!

Imagine just having a organ at home 😳
I can recommend it fully :D
Thanks to inexpensive small computers, this is no longer something to imagine! Almost anyone can build their own organ for their own home/apartment.

How lovely to read your comment. The fugue is definitely one of the outstanding ones from Bach’s young years. Thank you for leaving your kind comment.
It's a very beautiful rendition of this famous piece ! Bravissimo Philip !
Thank you as always Remi!!!
Really fantastic. I'm probably about a year or two from getting to this piece. Really looking forward to it. Love your home organ too!
You can do it!! Thanks for your comment!
Besides the playing, this is one of the best sounding YTs I've heard yet - even of live organs.
WOW, what a fantastic comment to read. I am so grateful for this!!
I love that you give us time to enjoy the phrases and not just rush through the piece by flexing technique... very nicely played!
