Guess I'll be going to Lidls this weekend then😩😂
thanks for that Donna, it does feel like a bit of a cheap torch but good for a spare … N
I've never heard of this store before. Great purchase!
hi Kera, lidl is one of the most favoured supermarket here in the UK, especially now the cost of food has gone right up … cheers … Nick
I love Aldi and Lidl. I kitted out an entire workshop pretty much with tools from these. 3 Year warranty (except on batteries). I just need to build the workshop now to house it all in. Cheers Nick, really good deal, esp with gas included.
my local Lidl is always full of tempting tools … some better than others … great for mini abrasives … this torch isn’t one of my favourites it’s a bit fussy to use … N
Wow!!! I'm going to Lidl!!!! 😀😋
hi Mirja, cheap tools aren’t for everyone but I like them … N
Danke für den Tipp mit Lidl, dann kann ich es zumindest mal austesten. Ansonsten gibt es Brenner auch im Baumarkt.
Thanks Kathleen, being a hobbyist i’m always on the lookout for cheap tools. Occasionally they’re not as good as hoped. lidl is one of my favourite places to keep an eye on what’s coming in … N
I think RUclips is reading my mind. I'm wanting to learn how to make jewelry, and found a short from your channel. I subscribed and hopefully can learn a thing or ten from you. Like a basic equipment list.
hi Da, thanks for your sub … for me learning to soldier was the start of making jewellery. A great beginning is playing with copper considering how similar it is to working with silver. A lot can be achieved with some pliers, hammer, saw, files and a basic soldering kit … N
@@Nickscreativestuff I have a wire soldering kit. Will that work, or does it need to be a torch?
Silver solder for jewellery making melts at a much higher temperature so a gas torch is needed … N
@@Nickscreativestuff Thank you very much. I'm binge watching your videos right now.
i’ve been meaning to do a video “silver soldering for beginners” … another one on the to do list … cheers … Nick
don't use iron tweezers to dunk stuff into acid. That's why it comes out the way it does
you’re quite right there sheep dog but I thought it wasn’t important when doing a quick demo of a torch … cheers … Nick
Bro i would like to see more videos on melting copper with blow torch
Only you show me the blow torch solution on youtube for copper with charcoal block
surprisingly difficult to melt copper with the torch. I just bought a big Oxy propane set up so looking forward to doing more copper and bronze melts … N
Infatti con la torcia non sono riuscita a fondere il rame…Infact with the torch I couldn’t
Hello Nick,
Is there any way to contact you? You do really super work and videos. Greetings Andi.
Hi Andi, yes you just have … I keep an eye out for all comments and try to respond to everything … cheers … Nick
Hiya Nick,
I've just found your channel, and I'm enjoying the content a lot. But please speak your script. I, and many others, judgings by comments on other media, need help following the action on screen and reading the script. I've heard a lot of different accents on here, some are difficult, but I get there, and that is often part of the charm of a channel. I'm not saying you have a terrible accent, but if you think you do, let us be the judge, please.
Stay safe, Steve...
thanks Stephen good to hear your enjoying my vids … it’s been a big dilemma trying to do voice overs, having the confidence is a major part of it. video production is a lot quicker and easier since dropping all the effort trying to sound right. I suppose having a minimal text description doesn’t suit all videos and I’ve shied away from doing more complex videos because of it … Life is one big lesson and I suspect I just need to learn to have confidence in my vocal range … cheers … Nick
@@Nickscreativestuff a lot of people love a British accent. I'm going by the Asda label on something; I'm in Bolton though I come from dun soauth. Steve...
our accents are amazingly varied for the small size of our country … N
Omg, you could use that for soldering?
hi Malika yes I’ve been soldering with it although feels a bit cheap… N
@Nicks creative stuff nice. That's more manageable than all those big things. I like that... no I really gonna try... 😃
this type of torch is probably the most commonly used by jewellers. Cooksongold sell a few different sizes, very convenient considering you can buy small cans of fuel from a newsagents and supermarkets to fill them with … N
@@Nickscreativestuff thx I have one at home... I could already solder a ton of jewelry 😂😂😂
good Can this melt copper?
only just Aa Aa, it did manage a small amount on a charcoal block … N
In what country is Lidl's ? awesome deal.
lidl is a German company, I thought they were a global brand. They now have over 900 stores in the UK … N
Is this product available at lid even today its seems impresive it can melt cupper about 1080 you can use it for welding up 1200 thats great i am eager to purchase one but where do you get the gas tank ?
Products like this come and go from Lidl’s and then maybe reappear a year later. this sort of torch gets refilled from a gas canister, commonly used to refill cigarette lighters purchased from a general store … N
@@NickscreativestuffMany thanks for informing me but i rember seeing some , few months ago maybe i will be lucky The gas used for fueling lighters is the same form the torch container if it works the same i don t mind
When I bought this torch, I think it came with a small bottle of gas for refilling … N
Oh wuut so you can charge it up from a propane tank?? Are you able to do a test to see approximately how long it can last you for soldering?🥹 pretty please
Hi Alisa, this torch has a refillable tank and runs on butane from a small disposable can. The sort that is sold over-the-counter for refilling cigarette gas lighters ect.
The Torch will only run for a few minutes on continuous use and will need refilling regularly. A large can of gas will refill the torch maybe a dozen times, so it’s not very economical just convenient. Using propane and related tortures is much more cost-effective as it can come in much larger bottles … hope this helps … Nick
@@Nickscreativestuff thank you so, so much!❤️
