Loved it! You were initially right. No fake tan it was the lighting. We've seen his BTS for this on his Patreon. There's also a 3 behind the scenes video minute version on Ren not Ren (fan channel).
I know that they used a special kind of light, but imo he's looking much healthier, relaxed and happier than in the past - that made it pretty enjoyable ! And of course, the song is an absolute banger - as always 😊

Yeah, I think Ren's color is the lighting and color balance of the video. I've noticed it too.
I thought the same thing about the tan Ash-he looks so good-fake tan or not.

I just don't get this. Try-hard, but cheesy and he has a weak-to-average voice. I'm not a huge Sting fan, but Sting is Stevie Wonder next to this guy.

He has plenty but loves the artists...Jungle and Sting so he is giving them props by using the words but changes up the music to his. Plenty of people have checked out Jungle and The Police that never heard of those groups or listened to them. That was the purpose. Ren makes no money off these retakes.
