Guys! thankyou so much for reacting to my video, really enjoyed watching you guys break this down! really appreciate your kind words and really appreciate the support!
Ren! Keep ur doing ur thing boss. Speak so much truth that people struggle to find the words for. Ur extremely under rated and I really hope u blow up soon
Seeing you respond on all these reaction channels makes me love you even more! Ren, thank you so much for this performance. As someone with similar struggles, it makes me feel like someone truly "GETS IT". Keep doing what you are doing...and continue to inspire ❤
Ren has a lot more to offer. He raps (see The Hunger, Genesis, Money Game 1 and 2, Sick Boi), he is a master story teller (see Jenny/Screech/Violet's Tale trilogy), and he has an absolute beautiful singing voice (Chalk Outlines w/ Chinchilla). Evocative. AND AND - many of his videos are live/one take. One of a kind.
This right here! Please feel free to go down the Ren rabbit hole gents! PLEASE do The Tale of Jenny and Screech and Violet’s Tale in that order! The 3 together should be one reaction.
Every song he has is memorable and real.Ren has lime disease and mental health issues if I remember correctly.as far as im aware,he's in Canada getting surgeries and IV treatments several times a day and the pill line is more likely speaking of prescription medications for mental illness...I think, more than a drug addiction, however it could be referring to both.🙂watch all these recommendations, they each are unique, but Jenny's tale, screetchs. Tale and violets tale is a TRILOGY.start with Jenny's tale, then Screetchs tale, and last is Violets tale.welcome to the wormhole that is REN.🙂✌
Being an old man and open to all musical genre, this was a breathe of fresh air. It's so hard to find musical writers who write deeply like this. This felt real. You could feel the emotions through the writing, the guitar and the voice. Well done Ren.
I've never heard of this guy & that was absolutely fascinating. I was completely captivated for the whole time & that didn't feel like anywhere near 9 minutes long.
I’ve been waiting for you guys to get to Ren. I’m 56 and this young man might be the most important artists I’ve ever seen. I pray he can thrive as he becomes known.
I agree. Ren is a genius and this song made me go down the Ren rabbit hole. He is so versatile and you haven’t seen nothing jet of him. As someone with multiple autoimmune diseases I get him. He is the greatest artist I have ever come across in my entire 56 years of my life. What sets him apart from other artists are his lyrics and performances. He has something profound to say and his use of language is superior. He is so intelligent and philosophical and a great thinker. On top of that he is a masterful musician. I just hope his treatment in Canada the next 6 months will help him to make more music. Having gone through what he has gone through, misdiagnosed with several physical and mental illnesses when he had active bacterial infection of Lyme disease. A disease that all the doctors missed for almost a decade. It left him with several organ damages, his brain included. What a journey. Sony dropped him as soon as he got sick. So he just kept busking with his friends whenever he could.

So happy you chose this! I was JUST about to write it in your comments. Please ponder reacting to The Tale if Jenny and Screech and then Violet's Tale (as everyone else has said, in that exact order as a trilogy). You see a different side to his storytelling and essence with his guitar. Always lovely seeing that he has the mic attached and is doing this live in one takes.
Even though there is something to be said about the evils of social media it has also given me a few precious gifts. One of those gifts is this channel and another is this song. This young man is obviously very talented. I haven’t had a chance to listen to any of his other songs but I feel confident in calling this song a masterpiece. Just my opinion. Peace and love my friends ✌️
Take a look at the tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet (all can be found in one 13min video) and Money game part 1 and 2. Just excellent stuff, Ren is my favorite artist nowadays.
Hadn't thought about it this way, but you're right: I'm also in the opinion that social media was a mistake, but it did allow me to find this reaction channel and the algorithms I hate so much pestered me for a month to hear this song and I'm so grateful. Maybe we have to learn to separate the good from the bad more effectively, for there is good after all.
Im glad you found Ren, his talent is beyond this world. He has an amazing catalog and he masters the most genres. Digg deeper and you will not be disappointed!
Wow! I almost turned this off soon as he started the ooh ooh stuff at the beginning, but so glad I didn't. That was very powerful and very chilling, but very very good. Having had family members dealing with metal illness, and seeing how it devastates the people that suffer with them, and the families that live with someone suffering, this really hit home with me. Great choice gentlemen, and as always great reaction.
I thought this was one of the most outside the box song I've ever heard. But was immediately intrigued and have watched it several times and enjoyed it more every listen
This guy is versatile and amazing in his ability to soar within many genres, from deep psychologic tales to Hip Hop to the Blues to Reggae and beyond. It's worthwhile checking him out further. His live band, The Big Push, is also pretty remarkable.
Yes, its funny seeing reactors seeing that it's over 9 minutes and being dubious about taking on the daunting task of a song so long and then watching them at the end wanting it to go longer
If this was 20 minutes long I'd be sitting here for 20 minutes and would regret that it was over at the end. Ren touches a nerve that (and this is a strange statement) hasn't been struck since my Pink Floyd phase 20 years ago. It's just really, really, real.
Seriously never been so stoked for a Friday night every night when I get off work I drink a couple beers and watch some of your videos but I’m super excited to watch this one
This song has really had an impact on me and it's amazing to see soo many people connecting with it. I really hope they do "Jenny and Screech, and Violet's Tale", I heard that song for the first time yesterday and I was even more blown away. This kid is the most creative artist I've ever heard, he needs to be promoted EVERYWHERE!!
Lu et approuvé bon com car cela a eu un impact sur moi également étant concernée merci infiniment Ren longue vie bon rétablissement les réactions sont tellement bon et tout est bien décrit
Ren is such a versatile artist who can do it all. His music has the ability to reach into people's souls and to put words to emotions that most of us can't express. He is a modern day bard that definitely will be going places
Since the first reaction I saw to this, I've been waiting for you guys to get to it. LIV is the best reaction channel I've seen, you are very much appreciated. I'd love to hear your take after you give this song about 3 listens. Playlist? Nah... it's not that kind of thing. But it is a matter class in story telling artistry. This is like nothing I've ever heard before.
Same, this song has really had an impact on me and it's amazing to see soo many people connecting with it. I really hope they do "Jenny and Screech, and Violet's Tale", I heard that song for the first time yesterday and I was even more blown away. This kid is the most creative artist I've ever heard, he needs to be promoted EVERYWHERE!!
Thank you for doing this reaction guys. I am a little surprised that you both said it wasn't really one you would go back to, except to perhaps make further interpretation of the lyrics. That said, I appreciate that you both felt it was very creative and talented, and felt that Ryan's suggestion that it is something he would share is important. I was wondering why? The reason being, I also felt an overwhelming urge to share it too after I first listened to this song. I've mainly shared it with folk without mental health issues, but I have seen all over the internet folk with problems connecting with this song. And even if you don't, as George says, we can all recognise the struggle between the light and dark sides of ourselves. I have shared it with friends, family and even with patients and for different reasons, but always because I think that they will also get something from it, be it the creativity, the insight or that they will empathise. Cheers guys.
I kind of get this. I was exhausted after my first watch, and didn't think I'd watch it again. But found myself watching reactions to it just to see what people went through as it progresses.
Finally Ren hits the holy grail of reaction channels 😉The boy is a genius but that boy has suffered. And still does. It’s brutally honest which is so refreshing. Definitely check out more please.
If you go to his page he has written about his autoimmunity struggle that has literally taken half of his life from him. Sad story, but an inspiration for hope, and the fact that this man has dealt with that and is capable of putting out this level of creativity is saying something. Thanks for the excellent reaction, guys.
Wow! It’s about time, hahaah! I’ve been coming back to your guys channel for at least a month, and finally you decided to react Hi Ren. I truly appreciate!
You guys got me into watching reaction videos back in 2019 when I watched all your Chris Stapleton reactions... multiple times. Excited to see you guys react to this one! Fantastic job!
Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. A handful of people frequently post an earlier version of my comment to various reactions that they copied and pasted verbatim, so if this is a repeat just ignore this comment. I keep editing the information, as needed, and have removed details about Ren that some found to be too personal, such as his full name and D.O.B. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release. Ren is a British musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist; originally from Wales. Ren pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is in Calgary, Canada for at least six months (Summer of 2023), undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon. Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Check out and subscribe to his channel; if you are a content creator, ask your audience to subscribe to Ren. Ren's YT channel just surpassed 1 million subscribers. and his videos have garnered millions and millions of views. Listen to some of his earlier work, like and comment on his performances, and let's lift Ren's spirits. If you are a believer, pray for him. Ren is an artist with something to say to the world, and his work is important in these troubling times. Someone has finally created a Wikipedia page for Ren, so there is additional information available.
I think he'll be better as an independent in the long run honestly. Way more money for him personally and no parasitic labels sucking the creativity out of him and changing him. He MUST stay himself. Afterall, that is why we love him no?
why are people saying not to talk? that's why I watch this channel ffs. I want to hear you talk before, during, after. If I wanted to hear the song uninterrupted I'd just watch the band's video. Keep talking please. Thanks.
Yeah those people make no sense, the purpose of a reaction channel is for the reactor to share their thoughts throughout the video. If you want to listen to the song uninterrupted, go watch the original video because you've missed the point lol. If the reactor doesn't pause the video, it makes it more likely to have a copyright strike. These people just like to complain lmao.
oh man, the fact you spent 1/3 of the video discussing shows the depth. I have got caught in the Ren rabbit hole since I first found this song. Ren's music has excited me like no other new music since I heard G'n'R in '89. Please look at more of his music, it is all supreme
Thank You For Introducing Me To Ren. This Was A Very Enlightening Performance And Only Reiterates The Fact That We All Experience Struggle In Life But The Key To Progress Is Allowing Yourself To Feel The Pain That May Be Uncomfortable In Order To Get To Liberation. Will Definitely Check Out More Of Ren. Thank You.
I’ve been watching this I called him a kid I’m 61 but I also noticed that in comments of almost all the reactions I haven’t heard many things negative which is refreshing because a lot of times you get on reactions and people just Gotta make waves or be mean. This is something to consider.
When someone tells a story and you can visually see what there talking about in your mind..that is an amazing story teller..Ren is exactly that..amazing story teller 🔥🔥👍😎😎
George hit the nail on the head. This is the eternal dance. Great song, great reaction. The artistry tapped into something human. And I agree this isn’t rap, rock, or really any genre. It’s just genuine. Thanks for doing this song.
You guys nailed it! I think we all love when someone creates something so fresh and new that we can’t put it in any category or genre. Kudos to Ren for putting out such a beautiful piece of art! We don’t all have mental issues but we all have that inner monologue between doing good or bad so I’m pretty sure we can all relate. Thank you guys and a big thank you to Ren for being so vulnerable and sharing this with the world. We are definitely better for it. Peace
The "She sells seashells on the sea shore" is a callback to one of his earlier songs (Money Game part 2) which became viral a few years ago. Definitely worth checking out.
The more intense the light shines the darker the shadow it cast ! The more intense the joy you want is the contrast must exist also the darker the shadow it casts. Be careful what you wish for you just might get it
Dude the references are so in your face that you need to be double blind not to see, but saying that also keep in mind that not that many people care as we live in a time where the bible is irrelevant, undressed and empty in the face of the modern age. Fugg a book that says shrimp, immodest colors in woman's dress and murder are equal tickets to hell when modern philosophy contemplates the possibility that there exists a unique world for every choice contemplated. The unholy unimportance of this life in the face of eternal existence is much more frightening than the thought of the flame of this life being the only light we ever get. Dont waste this light hoping for better later. This might be all there is and it would be a shame if you wasted it dreaming of what someone told you might come after.
@@rustknuckleirongut8107 1) The Bible is the most relevant book ever. It influences everything. There have been many attempts to "undress" it, but all have fallen short. 2) Your comment about shrimp and clothing displays demonstrates your lack of comprehension, regarding the Bible. 3) Please expound on which modern philosophies you are referencing. Free will vs Determinism? Or are you speaking of the philosophy of "Do what thou wilt."?
Great reaction. “Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 4 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years. Ren’s music videos are often recorded live in a single take (although not necessarily the first take). His release, "Sick Boi," is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." Many of his songs resonate with people because he addresses struggles that many others face every day. Ren plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. He is considered by many a modern bard. His trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion. It needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline. It is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. It has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are also worth checking out; they are simply amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).” His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up), their busking (street performances), concerts, and their live recordings, are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," “War Pigs,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” "War Pigs," "Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," and so many others are equally impressive. Ren recently released his single, “Sick Boi.” In anticipation of his stay in Canada for more treatments, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. As mentioned above, his latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another masterful work.
Chalk Outlines shows off his singing voice. Ren sings, raps, rhymes & is compared to a modern day Bard. He sings live on the streets of Brighton with a band called The Big Push. He is currently in Canada undergoing 6+ months medical care.
Great review. Yeah he’s definitely going viral. Check out money game 3 , hunger, seven sins , sick boi , oh man ….. so many songs with so many different types of vibes . The guy is going off. Seven sins is a banger that you can play in the whip. He does one takes live in almost all his videos 🍻🇨🇦
The "She sell sea shells" thing was referencing a meme where he was saying that over a the 8 mile rap battle scene, which garnered him attention and he thought it would be his break...didn't turn out to be, so he's taking it out on himself, He actually references a few of his other works referencing his battle with himself
Ren is an amazing entertainer a true artist. Writer, musician producer, I love his busking work. Very versatile always captivating. Go to the Rabbit hole
As someone who was left disabled after a work accident and then had to battle for 6.5 years just to get compensation your mental health eventually deteriorates and until this very day I wake up everyday thinking is this my last day on earth.
Dude, I've heard the song 5 times today! 2 times alone, third time when I took it out to the living room to share with the family and 2 more times watching reaction videos! Looked up his other songs and the man is a true Bard. I'm a fan.
His health issues are real and he is currently getting treatment in Canada, he was originally misdiagnosed and went through issues from that, he later got correctly diagnosed with Lyme Disease.
17:22 That's the most intelligent put I've heard so far: "the more you try to force one, the more went to the light, the darker the shadow, instead of understanding you're human, imperfect, and not being so hard on yourself. Because being hard on yourself moves you more towards the darkness". So well put, I couldn't think of any better :) Perfect 👌 And I also agree the performance was genius - theatrical, impersonification of every character and actor talents, charisma, story-telling talents, internhuman ideas, expression, strong lyrics talents, involving and getting you on a ride, just-the-right-waves-ups-and-downs, vocals, voice range, guitar playing talents...
Ren is a true artist. You will see this is all done Live in one shot take. Great camera work and lighting. He is KIng of the one shot take. Pull some other threads for this boy.
I have just recently discovered Ren and I love you guys. I knew when you were cutting up in the beginning that by the end it would be a different tune. You guys showed him respect the whole time. And yes I didnt think it was weird the first time but have now heard it 20 times and get more and more of it. I think that the part when Ren does the Whaoo Whaoo parts i think its the opening of his mind and then the closing of it.
Late comment here so you may know his story by now. He has Lyme disease but he was misdiagnosed for 10 yrs. He suffered horrible physical & mental pain. He was bed-bound, housebound, told it was all in his head, overmedicated & given medications that make Lyme disease worse. There is every possibility that it could have killed him. He is currently receiving treatment in Calgary to try to mitigate the damage done.
22:16 give you some more from Ren? So many to choose from..."Tale of Jenny and Screech". 3 songs in 1 video telling one slory in three parts. It's been well over a year since you've listened to Ren. I hope you give him another shot.
Ive been waiting and hoping you guys would react to this one, I stumbled across Ren last month and am blown away by him. You guys are my favorite reaction channel, keep up the great content.
Ren raps about selling sea shells in his song "Money Game part 2", that bit became sorta famous because it was used in the "Luigi teaches Luigi about capitalism" meme.
so glad u2 did Hi Ren..Great reaction, welcome to the Ren rabbit hole ;) its a deep one..pls check out: Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) /// The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop /// Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live) you will not be disapointed by this genius ;)

I saw a response where Ren called it bardcore. I think that’s a perfect description.

Yes, its funny seeing reactors seeing that it's over 9 minutes and being dubious about taking on the daunting task of a song so long and then watching them at the end wanting it to go longer
And then how baby of us have been following reactions around for weeks now? Ren is mesmerising.
@@NilZed1 I was wondering how many baby's were watching him myself 😍
If this was 20 minutes long I'd be sitting here for 20 minutes and would regret that it was over at the end. Ren touches a nerve that (and this is a strange statement) hasn't been struck since my Pink Floyd phase 20 years ago. It's just really, really, real.
@@tonykaze Pink Floyd is not a 'phase', my friend. It lasts for a lifetime.
Wow that’s crazy Talent
Seriously never been so stoked for a Friday night every night when I get off work I drink a couple beers and watch some of your videos but I’m super excited to watch this one
I’m just seeing your reaction from this song. Very wild that u said it give u vibes of a “Slaughter House”. Dude you just predicted the future!!!
The guy can sing rap sing play base ext. the song the hunger is straight rap. Makes his own beats. He is very interesting.
So glad you guys reacted to this, Hope you do some more of Ren's stuff, you won't be disappointed! Great reaction!
I've been waiting to see if you guys were going to react to Ren! This is the intro song! Ren is a BEAST!
Soooo happy you got to see this.
Soooo glad you guys did this. It's great stuff
Cheers guys, love the channel and the community of free thinkers is beyond grateful for you! 🙌
The Lovato Gym.
Great reaction. Subbed for more Ren. Thanks!
Same lol. Couldn't believe it took this long
Same, this song has really had an impact on me and it's amazing to see soo many people connecting with it.
@@jonathancornick5792 that makes sense. It was a pretty emotional watch.
Finally Ren hits the holy grail of reaction channels 😉The boy is a genius but that boy has suffered. And still does. It’s brutally honest which is so refreshing. Definitely check out more please.
Thanks guys, always good to hear your input!
Do "The tale of Jenny and Screech (full)" next! You won't regret it!
Ren's rapping skills are fully displayed on 'The Hunger' and 'Losing It', you won't be disappointed.
@@txdrmr I absolutely agree.
MERCI INFINIMENT POUR TOUTES SES INFOS BON À SAVOIR QUEL GÉNIE TALENTUEUX BRILLIANT UNIQUE LES BRAS M'EN TOMBE WOUAHHHH PHÉNOMÈNAL
Yessssssss.
You def need to check "the tale of jenny and screech" plus "violets tale" some of the best storytelling videos ive seen in yearssss
why are people saying not to talk? that's why I watch this channel ffs.
Thinking about the younger relatives in my world, my takeaway from Ren is learning to relax, that's gold
YO!! Why tf Cheezy Gang went so damn hard?!
Also, thank you for reacting, i was waitinf for this (:
oh man, the fact you spent 1/3 of the video discussing shows the depth. I have got caught in the Ren rabbit hole since I first found this song. Ren's music has excited me like no other new music since I heard G'n'R in '89. Please look at more of his music, it is all supreme
Jennys tale, screech’s tale, violets tale (full)
Enjoy
Luv it!! The Big Push " Englishman in New York" and The big push " Bongo bong" x you will luv it I think
Thank You.
Been following since Ill Mind Of Hopsin 5. I followed because of your in-depth break downs of each song you listen to. Keep talking.
I have been hoping you guys would do this. When you guys take the song seriously you still have my favorite takes in the reaction world.
Just found you. I love a good Hi Ren reaction but for some reason the algorithm never found you. Love your comments and honesty.
Would love to see you guys to his rap songs. Illest of our time, losing it, genesis, what you want, hunger,
At first I thought this was MC Ren when I saw the title and I was like "ain't no way bro is playing the guitar"😂😂 awesome review per usual guys!
Lovely analysis guys.
Love the humour in this piece and your interpretation.
Be well.
I’ve been watching this I called him a kid I’m 61 but I also noticed that in comments of almost all the reactions I haven’t heard many things negative which is refreshing because a lot of times you get on reactions and people just Gotta make waves or be mean. This is something to consider.
Get you guys on Patreon too 😎
When someone tells a story and you can visually see what there talking about in your mind..that is an amazing story teller..Ren is exactly that..amazing story teller 🔥🔥👍😎😎
So glad to see this come up. I've been watching reactions to this the past two weeks wishing you guys would do it.
Whoever told y’all not to talk-DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! The whole point of the reaction videos is to hear you talk about it 😂
I’m glad I’ve found you guys by following REN around thanks for sharing
I've pretty much watched every reaction to this song. This is one of the best reactions so far. Great breakdown and explanation of the song.
Peace
Favorite reactors! Would love to see some more lupe
Be careful what you wish for you just might get it
You are one of the few that caught the Biblical references. Nicely done
I look for this in every reaction 😂
Everybody I know caught them. Maybe you're hanging with the wrong crowd, lol. 😘
@@rustknuckleirongut8107
1) The Bible is the most relevant book ever.
@@deborahlester4018
Maybe....😁
Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).”
His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great.
That was great! Thanks for introducing me to Ren. I'll have to check him out a bit more!
He does one takes live in almost all his videos
🍻🇨🇦
It's about accepting our human limits.
We cannot only be good, because we sre NOT gods
Masterpiece
The "She sell sea shells" thing was referencing a meme where he was saying that over a the 8 mile rap battle scene, which garnered him attention and he thought it would be his break...didn't turn out to be, so he's taking it out on himself, He actually references a few of his other works referencing his battle with himself
Ren is an amazing entertainer a true artist. Writer, musician producer, I love his busking work. Very versatile always captivating. Go to the Rabbit hole
Your guys’ commentary is what makes this a great RUclips page. I appreciate your consistent interaction with videos.
I love these two guys 😂❤
They like the songs I like and they always make me laugh.
Lots of love from London
“Pop another pill boy” is the meaning of treating ppl with medicaments, with no real treatment.
Great reaction, I feel
You guys nailed it!
Probably the most relevant and profound video I've ever listened to. Thank you Ren
17:22 That's the most intelligent put I've heard so far: "the more you try to force one, the more went to the light, the darker the shadow, instead of understanding you're human, imperfect, and not being so hard on yourself. Because being hard on yourself moves you more towards the darkness".
So well put, I couldn't think of any better :) Perfect 👌
And I also agree the performance was genius - theatrical, impersonification of every character and actor talents, charisma, story-telling talents, internhuman ideas, expression, strong lyrics talents, involving and getting you on a ride, just-the-right-waves-ups-and-downs, vocals, voice range, guitar playing talents...
He is currently receiving treatment in Calgary to try to mitigate the damage done.
in my country we usually call this type of song as "actor song" or I think in english it's called "stage song"
For the record, your talking about the music and performance is what drew me to your channel. Great reaction, as always. 🖤
Ren raps about selling sea shells in his song "Money Game part 2", that bit became sorta famous because it was used in the "Luigi teaches Luigi about capitalism" meme.
It is very theater like. Lots of diverse talent in a short spot. Thanks for sharing.
