It’s been a couple weeks travelling Pakistan since losing my job in Sydney with a global tech company. The decision to go travelling rather than continuing my career progression is me investing in myself. Pakistan is an amazing place! Here you'll find the warmest people you will ever meet. However, all great adventures have their ups and downs. These few days being in Gilgit following by travelling up and being in Karimabad I experienced it all.
The ups being the people, both local and fellow backpackers, the beautiful scenery, the accomodation and getting to travel local style.
The downs…. well, sometimes the weather just doesn’t do you any favours. A few rainy days in Northern Pakistan made it a bit harder than usual to get around. Here you get to see how solo backpacking really works….oh and add in a bout of food poising and I really got to experience it all in 5 days.
All in all, as always, life is great! I'm getting to meet warm people who are equally excited by life, adventure and making the most of every situation ❤️

If you stay in Hunza, i highly recommend staying at Rama Guest House in Karimabad... very helpful hosts for all things to get sorted , and very helpful to guide you around Hunza😊
Hey Chris, if you get sick like that next time, only take clean water mixed with a sachet of ORS. No hard food for at least 8-10 hours (if you can fast that long 🙂).

Just stumbled onto your channel after searching for Gilgit. I'm in GoldCoast now will travel to Karachi 24th Oct then off to Gilgit with PIA then hire a car or something to Kareemabad for 4 days. Doin a epic tour for 4 weeks in Pakistan. Can't wait ... Pakistan here i come

I am really loving your journey so far Chris. Just a few tips from my side. Try to avoid street food if you are in the middle of journey or you're planning to be travelling soon. Avoid table water and have mineral water bottle with you all the time. Always have a few medicines in your bag, just in case if you need one. Don't hesitate to ask for help from locals, they're always happy to help. I hope you enjoy rest your stay in Pakistan 💚

Mate when you eat samosa's or any hot food from street food the trick is get them to make you fresh not buy that is already made sitting this why you had diarrhea and sickness both ends. Hey Chris, saw all of your videos at once and man you are doing an amazing job at this. Keep doing it this way, meeting, talking, exploring on your own. It's these small and raw stuff that we often miss with all those vlogging videos.
Now coming down to your illness and stomach issues.
1) never ever eat junk food (samosa and Chaat are junk food) in an as much of an organic place as it can get. Hunza is known for its organic stuff and people living long healthy lives. Explore and eat their local food bro, don't waste your time with Korean and what not foods. Stick to what people make best in an area. Where else will u get to try it?
2) now this is a European problem which you guys have inherited from your ancestors.
Why on earth would anyone be ok with taking their face close to a toilet where they poop to throw up?
That's the most disgusting unhugenic thing ever, after not washing the poop but only using papers to wipe.
You throw up in your hand/face wash basin. The stuff that comes out of your stomach is not the same as poop, it's half digested food that was in the process of being broken down in your stomach.
Why on earth would you want to take your face into a toilet with tonnes of bacteria and what not?
This rule stands where you are back I. Aussie land or where ever lol
We only put our poop in the toilet.

Also, I really appreciate your comment about doing it my way. I'm trying to not follow the crowd and just edit the way all popular RUclipsrs do. To be honest, they all feel the same to me when I watch them.
@@ChrisDismissed yup dude. Keep it this way. Raw and simple. You have a great psychological profile that helps you attract nice people to interact with you.
This will help you go really up and far because more and more will be able to connect emotionally to what is happening on screen and not just for the "entertainment".
Consider yourself lucky for getting dropped from a 9 to 5.
It's time to build up something that makes you money while you sleep and you are doing pretty good already :)
Just remember to spread it out a bit.
Spread small pieces of your content on TikTok and insta and such. Build more channels and gatherings from the same content.

WOW!! From the Philippines??? Must be the person from there to watch this. I was lucky enough to travel through the Philippines in 2011 for 6 weeks. It was an amazing time I had there. Personal favourite was El Nido and Banaue. Hopefully some day I can come back.

When you get the shits, make sure you have something called ORS. These are rehydration packets that contain sugars and salts, and you're supposed to mix them with water and drink the solution.
