This was so hard to watch and every parent should be able to leave their child/children at school with confidence knowing that they're gonna be safe. These parents can't let the quilt weigh them down, it wasn't their fault 💔🙏
Then you guys are going to have to deal with two problems. One 18 has been established as a de facto citizenship age by the 26th amendment. Two you will have to rewrite other laws as well as get a constitutional amendment.
Should we also raise the legal use of alcohol and tobacco to 25 as well? It is only fair, I don’t want some young immature person drinking and driving.
It's not about not caring. That's just how the leftist wing of the emotional side of the democrat party label their opposition Having policies implemented based off emotion won't prevent shootings People seem to think a magical word like banning 1 type of gun or all guns would prevent shootings. The vast majority of murders with a gun are done by people with an existing criminal background. Do people think those guns they used were legally obtained? 🤔 We can raise the age from 18 to 21 to buy a gun but if that were to happen it wouldn't make any sense to have the draft be 18 or being able to vote be 18. If the idea is your brain isn't fully developed... why would the draft be 18 and voting be 18? As a republican on most policies. I'd get behind that if all 3 can be met. And what we really need is better training in schools. It is insane to me that all of these mass shooters in the past decade have been between like the ages 17-22. And a lot of them have similar stories told by their fellow students and teachers. That they were weird and would torture/kill animals. What we need is this to be reported and even documented by police that way background checks would prevent these people from buying guns due to having a documented record like this. None of this was documented... for a fed background check to know about.

The U.S. has a deflection in its moral compass. The government and main stream media has helped dissolve the family unit. Once the family unit goes, so goes the country.
@@payasoinfeliz The world was a nice place until Democrat policies slowly rotted out the core of the family unit. Guns have been around for the entire history of the nation. Only different is now schools are "Sitting Duck Zones" thanks to Democrats. Kids have worse mental health due to Democrats. Families are torn apart due to Democrats. lol.
The fact the cops stood down and attacked parents for 45 minutes before a BP agent defied orders, all while the gunman is still shooting kids, is absurd.
I’m deeply saddened for every child who was lost there life due to this senseless murder done by mentally unstable individual and a police force who were restrained on entering the school. I hope we come to an impasse and people realize politicians, banks, ports, and government buildings are protected by people with guns but they can’t justify it at school’s. It blows my mind.
Also the doors from the schools shall be locked and secured! One day in Las Vegas, (NV), a man in his 30's got angry at his girlfriend, pulled a gun, and started driving towards a Jr High-School building. People at the parking lot saw him and told all the school's staff to lock all doors and windows from that building, even before they called the Police! This man tried to enter but couldn't... he tried the windows too! Students could hear the sounds... Police arrived in time to witness that and arrested him on-the-spot! He could've done with a knife too... he was more of the problem than his gun. LOCK YOUR DOORS!

@@mikemurphy80 They have never pulled back on a bad Gun Prohibitionist policy. The one time they came close they sneaked in a total ban on new production for an entire class of firearms. Remember that these massacres were exceedingly uncommon before the ACLU’s mental healthcare bar, political activist Psychiatrist and Psychologists, and Progressive Politicians destroyed the Mental Healthcare and Asylum systems during the 50s, 60s, and 70s, even though up until 1968 you could order explosives, machine guns, and cannons through the US mail with no background check at all? So obviously the point to target is the perpetrator. Because controlling a 1000 year old technology that can be built from common materials with simple tools is not going to be any more of a winner than the drug war. Particularly in a country where you probably have someone with a machine tool within a mile of where you are.
@theo The point of a law is to disincentivize/punish certain behaviors or uphold certain rights. Most people would agree that you don’t want people to commit crimes with guns. But gun control laws only affect law abiding citizens. Because the behavior you want to punish is not the obtaining of a gun, its the crime the gun is used to commit. Unless you think gun control laws would change the motivation of people who use guns to commit crimes, it would just make it more difficult for those who want to use a gun for legal purposes to obtain one. Because the criminal is going to break the law anyways, why wouldn’t they also break the law to obtain the weapon they need?
Yeah this is what the government makes parents do everyday, how demonic. Letting your very young child alone like that with strangers think about that.
Sadly the debate automatically turns to guns instead of the victims. The immediate priority must be securing soft targets like schools and churches. At grass root, police and communities need to identify these individuals. I’d hope background checks included social media too.
The problem I see here is we have lost to many innocent children due to school shooting the government has already heard all of the sadness many families had to endure and still nothing , this isn’t nothing new many of us have heard, the real question when ? When will they do something how many more shooting and crying mothers do they want to hear ?
I want to know what we do as parents? Some of us can’t home school because we have to work to provide but we don’t want to send them to school because we don’t know if they coming out back home. Worry about grocery stores and gas stations or ride down the freeway. The blood is on the government hands!
It is sad how no record = clean record. He had just turned 18 and he bought 5k worth of ammo/guns in a matter of days. That alone should have flagged attention.

Lexi will never be just a number nor was she ever just be a number. Sadly she will always be earthly missed.. She is now another heavenly child back with our creator. I’m so sorry Lexi was violently taken from you all.
Giving up our guns is NOT the answer. Example: What if we take the anti-gun types seriously, and give up all the guns. THEN, when things are even worse than gun owners told everybody it would be -- so bad that even anti-gun types are now saying "we should have never given up our gun rights" -- how do we get 'em back? Stomp our feet? Anti-gun types are asking for an all or nothing scenario with their ideas, and that is never going to work.

The worst part is you can’t think of one thing these parents could of done to protect their children and there is no desire to prevent it from happening again.
This was so hard to watch and every parent should be able to leave their child/children at school with confidence knowing that they're gonna be safe. These parents can't let the quilt weigh them down, it wasn't their fault 💔🙏
Raising the age restriction or any gun laws won’t change anything. It just takes those type of guns from law abiding citizens
@Pork n jeans yeah like idk why they are saying 21 when the brain isn't fully developed. 25 makes much more sense
Then you guys are going to have to deal with two problems. One 18 has been established as a de facto citizenship age by the 26th amendment.
Two you will have to rewrite other laws as well as get a constitutional amendment.
@Pork n jeans Not in the full legal sense.
You can’t just walk around these issues with words they will have to be addressed kid.
however the astronomical 1000% gun tax that a senator proposed would.....
@Pork n jeans Once again you can’t just ignore the legal issues.
Make the guns 25 age and ban the semi auto rifles keep the handguns …
Agree
Should we also raise the legal use of alcohol and tobacco to 25 as well? It is only fair, I don’t want some young immature person drinking and driving.
You’re not taking our rifles… and WAY more people are killed by handguns. You’re an irrational illogical emotional woman and your opinion is invalid.
@@lpg12338 yes! That would be great 👍 if you cannot rent a damn car why can you buy a gun? Or alcohol or tobacco?
@@bman1668 True.
Are you serious, the camera is not even on the person speaking? So disrespectful!
She probably asked not to be on camera. Ever thought of that? Does your emotion take control of the logical part of your brain?
I would think it’s more disrespectful showing a grieving mother who is breaking down talking about her child who just passed.
Q. Why don’t republicans care about mass shooting?
A. Coz they happen in PUBLIC schools.
🇺🇸
Wtf
This isn’t a on side deal, Obama had 24 mass shootings under his term. What did he do nothing, and nothings is going to happen now.
@@GH-jp2ni exactly
Democrats are for abortion I find it hard to believe they care deeply about the lives of children. No offense
It's not about not caring. That's just how the leftist wing of the emotional side of the democrat party label their opposition
Having policies implemented based off emotion won't prevent shootings
People seem to think a magical word like banning 1 type of gun or all guns would prevent shootings. The vast majority of murders with a gun are done by people with an existing criminal background. Do people think those guns they used were legally obtained? 🤔
We can raise the age from 18 to 21 to buy a gun but if that were to happen it wouldn't make any sense to have the draft be 18 or being able to vote be 18.
It's insane people are still talking about guns and not mental illness the root of the cause.
Shootings are caused by guns maybe you need to get your mental illness checked
That’s teacher mr. Reyes didn’t want to outlive any of those babies and it’s was so obvious to hear.
Since this I found my self playing basket ball outside my child’s school till she got off. Thank god it was undue paranoia.
Wym outlive the kids ?

@@payasoinfeliz The world was a nice place until Democrat policies slowly rotted out the core of the family unit.
Guns have been around for the entire history of the nation. Only different is now schools are "Sitting Duck Zones" thanks to Democrats. Kids have worse mental health due to Democrats. Families are torn apart due to Democrats. lol.
If you're not going to arm to teachers and why are we even discussing
The fact that the GOP needs to even hear this story in order to require change is absurd.
Like SCHOOL SECURITY????
Its not the gop usa is pro 2nd amendment gun free zones need to be a thing of the past
The fact the cops stood down and attacked parents for 45 minutes before a BP agent defied orders, all while the gunman is still shooting kids, is absurd.
The fact you support the actions of the police is absurd
This comment is absurd
I want to know how the crazy guy got in to the school and was able to stay and do the destruction he did?
I’m deeply saddened for every child who was lost there life due to this senseless murder done by mentally unstable individual and a police force who were restrained on entering the school. It would seem to me strengthening entry to the inside of the school would be # 1 on immediate changes that need be made!! Period!!
The other problem is we’ve taken God out of our schools and the respect for human life!🙏 For those families that have been effective by this!
It's everything but guns isn't it
What does God being in school have to do with this? The respect for human life I understand.
Our children are no long safe wether at school or just out . period . Keep them home . And demand change
So heartbreaking 😭💔.. absolutely gut wrenching.
This Mother's words are heavy and prophetic... she never thought she would be the Mother... neither do any of the rest of us.
I can’t stop crying!!! May Jesus stay close to all! God hears your cries 🥺😩😔
I really need to stop watching these videos. It breaks my heart and the tears just flow when I hear these stories. 😭💔
Jesus be with this family this is devastating to hear I’m so sorry 😞 her baby girl didn’t make it. Probably could’ve survived if those cowards that call themselves law enforcement would’ve went in early
Please change things and HOME SCHOOL our children!!
@boltmanCV they are not rare
You really trust the average person to give their children a quality education? Over 50% of adults in the US read below a 6th grade level..
As a father this hurt’s, the response of the police force was absolute garbage. The actions of this psychopath were garbage. The fact that people blame the firearms involved is garbage. I hope we come to an impasse and people realize politicians, banks, ports, and government buildings are protected by people with guns but they can’t justify it at school’s. It blows my mind.
Beautifully said.
OMG, I'm so sorry for these parents traumatic experience. I wish that their pains could be erased but how or when that will be. The police officers are just as heartless as the cruel gunman.
Smart beautiful young woman I’m sorry these things happen I wish she were still here
The sad part is do you really think these politicians care sitting up in Congress. They here the pain & grief of countless victims families and do nothing. Americans please help take our pain to the Polls and vote these cold 🥶 hearted don’t care attitude always on recess vacation old farts out of office. 🇺🇸
our daughters have both graduated from high school. Every day I said I love you to them as I dropped them off at school and every day I worried if it would be the last time I saw them. The best thing you can do is go to your nearest range and ask an instructor to educate you on firearms and existing laws before you take action

Either terrible emotional control or they are just not responsible. Would love to see us find a way to limit guns to those people. I just don’t know what the answer is but want us try something. Even if it’s too much. We can always pull back some.
Fly high Lexi, continue to watch over your mom and dad and your siblings. Powerful statement from that mom.
Yeah people who commit crimes really care about the legality of how they obtain their weapons…
@theo Yes they are, to criminals…. 🤦
@theo Please see my previous comment above yours.
@theo its called cognitive dissonance LOL u cant make them think otherwise, they just apply whatever reasoning works in the situation
@theo Laws only mean something when they are enforced. If someone breaks the law, then you hold them accountable for their actions.
I should have known Ben Crump would have made an appearance in this story.

I pray God gives them the strength to keep moving forward. I couldn't imagine having to bury one of my children at any age.
God bless this woman and keep her from anymore Harm.
Sadly the debate automatically turns to guns instead of the victims. The immediate priority must be securing soft targets like schools and churches. At grass root, police and communities need to identify these individuals. I’d hope background checks included social media too.
I’m hurting for these parents 🙏🏾🥺 she said she and her husband ran a mile💔
Who is the lady they are focusing on with the camera?

YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS SIMPLY DONT CARE!!!!!!! IF YOU CARED YOU WOULD HAVE MADE LAWS TO PREVENT THIS SHAME ON YOU LAW MAKERS SHAME ON YOU !!!!!!!
How are you going to prevent this, you’re not. Just seen a video and a group of kids had over 30 guns in the school gym.
Murder is already illegal dumbass.
So very sorry sending prayers and hugs
No words can help with their pain. God please heal them 🙏🙏🙏
Why is this in court? Didn't the shooter die?
How would stronger background checks prevent this? I didnt think he had previous charges
It would require a teacher to be the one deciding if he could buy a gun or not for any sort of checking system to have stopped him from buying a gun.
It is sad how no record = clean record. He had just turned 18 and he bought 5k worth of ammo/guns in a matter of days. That alone should have flagged attention.
It doesn’t matter, they would help
Really asshole, you had to be that person? So you’re OK with all of the studying testing and hoops you have to jump through in order to get a car but asking for a background check on Adonis too much?
If I were to implement a proper background check. I would question a recently aged 18year old purchasing a weapon.
