God I love that we can say "watch the next episode of Dragonball on Toonami" like, I can't stress how much I'm in love with being able to say that. 2017 is amazing just for that, i don't give a shit about politics.
+supersmashbro596 If you watched the entire thing, he mentioned that near the end of the Dragon Ball bootleg section, and even praised the original game, which is actually great. I used to play it, and it was pretty fun. Though I understand if you commented before that, since the entire time he talked about the bootleg, I was wondering if he knew about the original.
that second game is a carbon copy of a GBA game that is a official release. its just the first couple levels. I remember playing that game on a GBA and it's a really good game. (this one obviously not) it has a kinto-un chase oolong level. A world tournament. Kamehameha's a 2 player mode where you can fight as each other. its actually a decent game.
And by that, he means it just takes large chunks of those games and combines them into a slightly shittier version, as it was a Game Boy Color game. You are pretty much just better off playing the SNES versions (or the versions found in the X-Collection). Xtreme 2 is quite a bit more interesting though, actually original but heavily inspired by the early games with a dash of X5 mixed in.
Batfreeze I like some of GT, I mean Super Saiyan 4 design rocks (the dragon... sorry) and it's pretty cool that no two Saiyan's SSJ4 transformation looked the same.
I loved Dragonball and Dragon Ball Z growing up. But GT did not feel like the same series at all. The first few episodes had me yelling at the screen over why they kept acting like things that wouldn't be a problem were somehow an actual problem. Like the ship taking off and the people who have the ability to fly not trying to fly to it to stop/enter it, or them acting like they'd die if the ship crash landed, or people stealing their ship and again they don't fly after it, just try to use instant transmission and can't do it cause he's a kid. I stopped watching less that 10 episodes in because it was infuriating.
Glad to see you're back on your videoing-feet, loved the BSCPST yesterday. Can we hope for some more gameplay episodes on your other channel? The world is ready to un-pause it's stopwatch for your Ocarina of Time speed run!
I'm pretty sure that girl from the NES game is Zangya from Bojack Unbound. Also, that intro for that Japanese DBZ game was the best story intro I've ever heard.
Screwhead281 Not really. There was what.... 7 fighters per team? 12 x 7 is 84, and thats not including Angel Attendants, Gods of Destruction, and Kaioshins. Toriyama is a creative man, but making nearly 100 new characters isn't easy. The fact he took the idea of Broly and genderbended him isn't terribly suprising.
So? I don't watch trailers for anything I'm already interested in, movies, games, TV shows, ect... it's all spoilers intended to tease content and make people more interested. Since I already know I'm gonna watch, why would I spoil the surprise of it by watching trailers? The content is always more satisfying if you don't know it's coming, I did this with Pokemon Sun/Moon and avoided nearly every single spoiler, I didn't even know the starters when I began, and every new Pokemon and new mechanics was a joyful surprise. Hype ruins things. That's why I enjoyed No Man's Sky when everyone else was disappointed, I wasn't sitting there all day soaking up hype for the game, and when I picked it up I enjoyed it for what it was, not hated it for what everyone thought it was going to be.
I remember there was one game in the 90s where you had to input a code while goku was flying towards the screen during the intro and it unlocked like 80 characters. It was the best dragonball game ever but it seems to not exist when I looked at every dragonball game. Best thing about it was that both players could do a beam attack and have a button mashing contest. 2d game. It was on a cd and a weird console i hadnt seen before or since. The owner was a professional thief who had a bunch of japanese stuff for some reason, computers, game systems, etc.
3:56 That's definitely the opening stage music from Mega Man X. Normally I'd chastise bootleggers for their thievery, but hell, it's actually a pretty decent Game Boy rendition. You win this time, China...
If I'm not mistaken, the female character from the DBZ: Super Butoden 2 bootleg is actually Zangya from Bojack Unbound. I mean it's the same hair style so that's my guess.
I will say you forgot to mention for Dragonball Advanced Adventure, if you collect all the collectibles in game (dont be afraid to look up a guide! some are tricky!) you can play as... effectively anyone. The dog soldiers, the big bear with the sword, krillin, yamcha, tien, king piccolo, the robo suit enemy etc. I really recommend it! (I actually liked beating it again MORE as Krillin! He just felt funner :v)
God this reminds me of when I picked up a pack of action figures at a flea market. It was a pack of four but I clearly remember Gotenks, Broly, SS Goku, and Chi Chi. The package was called "Dragoon Ball" lol. But I didn't care. I was like 9 at the time and I loved my awesome little Z powered action figures.
12:50 it's Zangya, from one of the movies. she actually is on the real DBZ 2 on Snes (don't remember the actual name, it's in japanese). weird that they add her and not Bojack though.
Glad to see you back, Yuri, even if you do disappear for several months again. To be honest, I can't watch this video without also remembering your review of the Dragonball: Evolution game and how you constantly referenced Destructoid(? I could be totally wrong on the name), who hilariously made fun of the cutscenes.
Legendary Super Warriors-styled sprites are always a plus in my book. That Final Bout Genesis bootleg actually looks visually superior to Buyuu Retsuden. Also, that "mystery woman" is Super Butouden 2 NES is Zangya, one of the henchmen from movie 9.
Even the creators of GT didn't like Vegeta's mustache, that's why they had him shave it. But I've got to admit, Vegeta's mustache has started to grow on me in recent years.
These mistranslated games make me think of the box my sisters phone case came in. 6:33 Oh my god, I actually recognize that music. It's from the Lemming's game on the Game Boy Color. Why would I know something relatively obscure like that? It was my first game for the handheld.
You should consider doing a video on your favorite, genuinely fun or otherwise worth playing, bootleg games that you've gone over for your obscure gaming videos. It would be interesting to see if any of them actually feel like genuine games instead of half-baked cash-grab attempts.
So far DBS has fully supported the DBGT canon. Bulma is pregnant with Bulla, and Majin Buu is still set to be reborn as Uub (Goku and Vegeta talk about it in an early episode). The last few episodes of DBZ are set in the future after the events thus far in Super take place, and in those episodes the canon for DBGT is set up. I know that GT isn't officially canon, but so far they have made Super in a way that doesn't cause any continuity errors if you want to watch GT.
I actually have a cartridge of Dragon Ball Z III for the GBC, but mine is called Dragon ball 2006 (which is fun because I got it in 2004). I thought it looked great for a GBC fighting game, and it was hard as hell. I may have been blinded because of having a portable fighting dragon ball game back in the day, but I enjoyed it quite a lot and totally recommend to check it. I think I am playing a few rounds...xD
10:18 Hey, that kinda looks like a flash game I used to play on Cartoon Network's website as a kid! ...stop the ginyus from very slowly destroying a planet. And for some reason, Future Trunks was there.
the nes game is an adaptation of the snes game, maybe there is even a cheat code to unlock bojack and broly (in the original game bojack is playable from the start and goku and broly are secret characers, yes goku!!!!!, the story takes place after his death and mixes the cell games with an original story featuring broly and bojack)
I'll be honest...the ONLY thing I care about in GT was the SSJ4 form. I wish they would have brought back SSJ4 as the golden hair like it was supposed to be, and possible could have been renamed as the God form instead of the simplistic forms which are just recolors.
Either that chick from Butoden 2 is Zangya from Bojack Unbound, Majin Launch (dat midriff), or some Majin lass (technically Majinniyah...?) that escaped from DBO/XV1-2.
God I love that we can say "watch the next episode of Dragonball on Toonami" like, I can't stress how much I'm in love with being able to say that. 2017 is amazing just for that, i don't give a shit about politics.
XenonSpark 2017 is even better if you care about politics.... and aren't a progressive.
Jyuim Suien Or like angry people.
Man, I sure wish Toonami still existed in the UK..
that dragon ball bootleg looks to be a gameboy port of dragon ball advanced adventure.
supersmashbro596
The bosses also were DB characters.
It's surprisingly good.
You do know that the girl in super butouden 2 for nes is Zangya from Bojack Unbound right?
I'm not willing to give them enough credit for that.
It's literally her dude
It's her. Sprite has her hair, and an amazing duplicate of her outfit, despite the sprites size.
that second game is a carbon copy of a GBA game that is a official release. its just the first couple levels. I remember playing that game on a GBA and it's a really good game. (this one obviously not) it has a kinto-un chase oolong level. A world tournament. Kamehameha's a 2 player mode where you can fight as each other. its actually a decent game.
btw that game is called dragonball advanced adventure. Really cool game. try it sometime.
Ah, yes, Vegeta's illegitimate son, Tolanks.
How did i just discover the greatness of Yuri? Im subbed and currently binge watching...this is gold.
3:57 that music is from Mega Man Xtreme, it's central highway's music
Fucking knew it :3
And by that, he means it just takes large chunks of those games and combines them into a slightly shittier version, as it was a Game Boy Color game. You are pretty much just better off playing the SNES versions (or the versions found in the X-Collection). Nupie The Hero Originally from snes megaman x opening stage.
awesome for some reason i thought it was spark Mandrills stage, but the opening sounds right.
@@Yuriofwind The mis-spelling of the names in most of the bootleg games are so bad....I mean come on....

Batfreeze I like some of GT, I mean Super Saiyan 4 design rocks (the dragon... sorry) and it's pretty cool that no two Saiyan's SSJ4 transformation looked the same.

Nope.
Super Sayian 4 will always be my favorite transformation.
I like it.

This is one of the best weekends of my life, purely because Yuri uploaded two videos during it. Rock on, Yuri! :D
>pretty sure that's Vegeta
>no its Beki
I'm pretty sure that girl from the NES game is Zangya from Bojack Unbound. Also, that intro for that Japanese DBZ game was the best story intro I've ever heard.
Tolanks is my favorite Dragon Ball Z character. But Bezida is a close second.
Aura Fox Bezida M. is much better imo
Mr. Buru has the power level of literal dirt tho
Aura Fox I do have a soft spot for Betheta
How can we forget about Bezida and his son, Tolanks?
Copeland Pennington AKA Beki
What about goku and his son, gohang?
As well as the best villan, zeru. I loved when gohang killed him.
Oh. My. God. Beki. Look at her power level.
Megaman music in Dragon Ball Z?
What is this, the Ocean Dub?
13:45 The lady is Zangya from Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound, here's info about her: dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Zangya
the first rule of mentioning Popo in a video game: you do not fuck up Popos name or official title even if all of the other names have been butchered
Ah my favourite dragon ball characters Bezida and Fuliza
The girl in DBZ Buutouden 2 is from Bojack Unbound.
I know it said Beki, but I was like, "Becky is my favorite Saiyan."
By the way Yuri, the girl from the NES Dragon Ball Z game was Zangya. Zangya was the 2nd/3nd in command to Bojack from Dragon Ball Z Bojack Unbound.
3:56
Ahem, Mega Man X's intro stage music.
I've been on a huge Dragon Ball kick as of late, and thank you so much for this video.
Can you guys stop spamming the comments with Zangya, only one person needs to say it.
10:34 ohhh that's where that TFS line came from, probably or I'm wrong and wukog is just really common
I live for Yuriofwind uploads
Anybody still shocked that there's a female broly now 😅
Screwhead281 Not really.
Screwhead281 ....so we're going to ignore the fact that we have the first female ssj period in the series now?
Why you gotta spoil shit...
Loponstorm they released a trailer revealing her...
So? I don't watch trailers for anything I'm already interested in, movies, games, TV shows, ect... it's all spoilers intended to tease content and make people more interested. Since I already know I'm gonna watch, why would I spoil the surprise of it by watching trailers?

Why does every bootleg have to be part of a nonexistent series?
Also BUWU made me cackle loud enough to scare my cat.
I remember there was one game in the 90s where you had to input a code while goku was flying towards the screen during the intro and it unlocked like 80 characters. 3:56 That's definitely the opening stage music from Mega Man X. Normally I'd chastise bootleggers for their thievery, but hell, it's actually a pretty decent Game Boy rendition. You win this time, China...
The music sounds decent because its ripped directly from Mega Man Xtream on the Game Boy
That said 'fusion' was Zangya!
Btw great vid
12:45 The girl in the final bootleg game is Zangya, from the Bojack movie.
If I'm not mistaken, the female character from the DBZ: Super Butoden 2 bootleg is actually Zangya from Bojack Unbound. I mean it's the same hair style so that's my guess.
The girl from the NES game is Zangya from the Bojack movie
That girl character is Zangya from Movie 9.
There's no such thing as "zero input delay". That would violate the laws of physics.
I will say you forgot to mention for Dragonball Advanced Adventure, if you collect all the collectibles in game (dont be afraid to look up a guide! some are tricky!) you can play as... effectively anyone. Holy shit, the music and sound effects from that first game are from the Xtreme games on the GBC. That's too good lol
Yo, Xenoverse 2 is now on the Switch as well as Fighter Z. Funimation either dubbed both or one of them according to Best Buy.
You forgot to mention that the abridged cell games are upon us in the description of the current era we live in.
The song was from the intro stage of Mega Man X.
I like how Blue Dragon is on the RUclips gaming icon even though he never mentioned that game

''Great job in stealing though's''

That DragonBall game is just ripped straight from Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure

Oh my god. The music from the first game was from the GBC port of Megaman X, Megaman XTreme. That track in particular was the intro stage.

The Dragon Ball GBC game is pretty impressive actually kinda cool to see
Advanced Adventure on GBC.
You're right Yurii, the game uses music and sound effects from Mega Man Xtreme 2 for GBC
12:50 its the girl who's on bojack's crew that he blew up
That moostache didn't but not only did a moostache happen in Super but also a beard... On both Vegeta AND Goku!
these consistent uploads are spicy!

Hey, that kinda looks like a flash game I used to play on Cartoon Network's website as a kid! ...stop the ginyus from very slowly destroying a planet. And for some reason, Future Trunks was there.
TFW the bootleg chibi dragonball fighting game stole the MMX intro stage theme. God is dead now.
Steven Armstrong DON'T FUCK WITH A SENATOR
the nes game is an adaptation of the snes game, maybe there is even a cheat code to unlock bojack and broly (in the original game bojack is playable from the start and goku and broly are secret characers, yes goku!!!!!, the story takes place after his death and mixes the cell games with an original story featuring broly and bojack)
I actually played that poorly translated Dragonball RPG on the gameboy when I was a kid, lol.
Never expected to be reminded of it like this
That one character whose identity you couldn't figure out was one of the villains from the dbz bojack movie
Am I the only one who wishes they could have played some bootleg games together with Yuri???
Has it been 2 weeks to a month and a half already? That was fast
That female character was probably Zangya from Bojack Unbound.
The Mega Man music is from Mega Man Xtreme's intro stage. It's a GBC port/remix of Mega Man X. (Changes up a bit of stuff)
I think the mystery girl is zangya from the bojack movies
that mystery girl is in the actual series. she's in a lot of later game. she's one of the fighters from Bojack Unleashed.
my bad. Bojack Unbound
3:04 Wow Buwu really nailed that moonwalk.
I actually got Dragonball Z on a bootleg GBC cart from a holiday in spain 12 years ago.
The female character is Zangya and she's a movie character from bojack unbound, odd that they chose her though she was pretty much a side character...
I'll be honest...the ONLY thing I care about in GT was the SSJ4 form. I wish they would have brought back SSJ4 as the golden hair like it was supposed to be, and possible could have been renamed as the God form instead of the simplistic forms which are just recolors.
Holy shit I used to play the last one all the time as a kid. We only had those NES bootlegs in our country as far as I know.
Either that chick from Butoden 2 is Zangya from Bojack Unbound, Majin Launch (dat midriff), or some Majin lass (technically Majinniyah...?) that escaped from DBO/XV1-2.
The character you thought was a mix of Launch and Marle is Zangya from the Bojack movie.
