- Hey guys! I was looking through RUclips and stumbled upon some DBZ toy commercials and I thought about how nostalgic they are! I thought about sharing them with you so you can also have a blast to the past. These are all the American commercials I can find. Oh the memories!

These commercials have no idea what show the is about. Super Saiyan Gohan captured by Nappa and Raditz and the all powerful 2nd form freeza vs Super saiyan Goku in a all battle til freeza faints like a bitch. and who can forget when Super Android 13 battles super vegito in a make out battle. XD

Yeah, I remember seeing one of these commercials either right before the end of the Freeza or begining of the Android arc. I remember being confused by seeing SS Vegeta fighting Goku and wondering when that happened, lol.

I can't believe Toriyama is gone.
One thing i love about the second commercial (besides Chris being the narrator) is how it's a reminder that Irwin imported a whole bunch of figures long before Funimation had dubbed the episodes and movies that introduce those characters. It's important to remember that the series had only been dubbed up to the Frieza Saga, or maybe the Garlic Jr. Saga, and yet Irwin released figures of SSJ3 Goku, Adult Gohan, and Majin Buu.
Not to mention they showed clips of Goku with a halo fighting against Vegeta with both being Super Saiyan 2’s. So that got spoiled.
Can dragon ball Z save that day!

Every inaccuracy in these commercials (because I have no life):
- Vegito fighting Android 13 despite fusion never being a thing and the Kai's never been introduced.
- Berter fighting alongside Goku and Trunks??? Despite him being dead and not a good guy?
- Nappa and Raditz are fighting Super Saiyan Gohan despite both of them being dead when he got that form.
- Gohan's super saiyan form isn't powerful enough to take them on.
-Piccolo with a sword????
- Gohan flying the nimbus cloud???
- The time machine firing missiles???
- Goku with a scouter?
-Piccolo's evil again?
-Trunks hovercar????

I swear the cutaway from vegito hitting super 13 to the show and back again actually made their impact so epic to me as a kid. Idk especially with the sound affects as the toys clashed together. It really brought my imagination to life and is something I think about even to this day!
The craziest part is that some of these commercials (I think “Gohan’s in trouble” and Super Android 13 vs Vegito”) aired BEFORE Americans got the Cell or Buu Sagas?
Could you imagine coming home after school, turning Toonami on, and seeing one of these commercials? Kids would be so confused as to why there’s an orange-haired Super Saiyan fighting Goku in a blue outfit with earrings on.

I find it really funny and charming that they tried to advertise dragon ball like it was your standard Saturday morning American cartoon. I was born into dbz nicktoons but I found these commercials online and they sold me on the toys so they do do their job correctly (I’ll never forget the joy of finding some of them in a local mall vendor and later that Christmas, me and my brother finding them in our stockings)

I used to vaguely remember an actual fight between Vegito and Android 13 when I was growing up and it's because of that damn commercial. Man, the level of imagination that kids have is incredible.

Yes, back when the toy commercials were everywhere, but they toys weren't. At first I couldn't find a DBZ toy anywhere, but around '99-'00 they had finally started showing up in Walmart and Meijer. Go super scion Gokoo!

I remember these commercials from the VHS tapes in like the garlic jr/trunks arcs and that footage of Goku fighting majin vegeta in the second commercial was prolly the first time many people in the US saw that footage unless they had Japanese tapes or saw it on the internet.
