Melissa- you’re hearing the deep bass beat of the engines, with the over ‘whining’ of the violin-hydraulics.... to give you that “Carnival Ride Concert”! Great job Mike... I LOVE watching it.
Melissa, you are so genuine. I just love it how you speak your mind. Dippity Do? I love it!! And you are right about that fair ride. It does sound the same. Mike is the lucky one to be riding that ride!
Good morning to all you fellow Westerners that are back home. Here in Singapore, it is just after 8pm. A bit of bourbon, some time with the Morgans to relax from a long day, then off for the evening. Mike, pond and road are looking good. Looking forward to seeing how you finish it all up this time around.
Looks great. I can't help but think about how much time you spend doing these videos. I want to say thank you for sharing your story with us. I have been a city man for 58 years and now in the country I have learned a lot from you. 63 and having fun with life.
So, first things first, Mike - you run that excavator like you do it every day for your job. Secondly, Melissa - nice camera work! Especially up the opposite hill in the woods viewing the excavator from the opposite bank. That was fun. We so enjoy that you share your everyday with us, thank you. God Bless.
Melissa, I enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, too! Something as simple as watching the clouds is amazing! Mike, you are moving quite a few cubic yards of dirt! You are a pro!
Searched cleaning out pond ,and found your channel...watched both 1 & 2 of this video...we live in N.E. Texas - close to Ok and not far from Ark. borders...we bought our homestead property and are retired...the property came with two ponds...neither are huge, but big enough to catch some dinner for the night...these ponds have not been taken care of at all for at least last 10 years...maybe longer...trees lined around both and all the leaves fall into the ponds during fall/winter...and for the 2 yrs we've been here...we have gotten about 50 inches from Jan-May...so yeah, do not know how deep these ponds are now...neighbors said they used to be very very deep...but from when...we are wanting to restock our ponds with bass and catfish (one of each) and being older and living on SS alone...trying to figure out best way to get the ponds cleaned up and some "muck" out...hubby found a guy not too far that has a trachoe (excavator) that has a 12 ft reach...looks like yours is larger? rental is for a day with no more than 8 hours on the rig...fairly reasonable, but don't know if we could get both ponds done...hubby has a Kubota tractor and could do some work with that...we don't have a bulldozer...anyway...sub'd to your channel and all the info you may have is appreciated!
Good morning Morgan's! Melissa:. I know exactly what you mean about the sound of a carnival ride. Every year right after school let out, our local church hosted a huge carnival. We only lived a couple of blocks away, and we would hear the roar of the engines that drove all of the rides. What a great memory! In retrospect, I don't think there were any safety procedures being followed back then. In fact, some of the people running the rides didn't look terribly responsible themselves! Lol! Anyhow we're all still here! 😱😱
Mike, if they rent a 54" or 60" clean up bucket with that 80, go for it next time. You could save a lot of time bailing that pond silt and your finish work will be A+ also!! You and Melissa do great work around your properties!!
Glad to see you working on that pond. I don't know why I keep reminding you about the pond but you have so much going on I am glad you are down there. That is the perfect machine to do this job. Enjoy yourself!
Great choice of music today. It added to instead of distracting from your story. Speaking of sound, the excavator running reminds me of a distant tornado siren.
Your life's work experiences have paid off big time with all you can accomplish in your little piece of Heaven! I hope you got to take Melissa to a carnival.😁
Another cool video! I too got my Kubota newsletter and saw the two videos of Melissa in it! Rubbing shoulders with Martha Stewart.....some pretty good company! Anxiously awaiting the new shale pit and the build of the new "Double M" building pad. Take care👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Once again you have knocked it out of the park. Camera placement, operator patience, skill and planning. Melissa's camera work in the first part almost looked like a drone flying through the trees and then following the bucket. It is so great seeing you guys interact and how you care about your property. It makes us all reflect on our own properties and how blessed we truly are. Thanks Again! We all enjoy sharing your world! PS Where are the rocks? Up here in the Adirondacks we have a little dirt that is between the rocks and boulders.
A trip to DQ I just got home from there 2 chili dogs, fries and a root beer and of course ice cream for dessert. A great way to end the day after playing in the dirt. Have a great evening and thanks for sharing
Yes Mike your like a kid with a new toy and yes you are a lucky man to have Melissa she is an incredible lady. Good luck and I hope you recieved something .Best Wishes to the Morgan's
Watching the Morgan’s after six hours of seat time on my Kubota disking and seeding several acres in the heat. I beat the coming rain, which is GOOD! Nice job Mike.
I can see more raised garden beds being built soon. Some for Kate and others for around the new building to put some of that nutrient rich soil in to grow plants and veggies. Stay safe everyone.
good show mike. I watch letsdig18 you tube as he running his heavy equipment...puts me to sleep with the hyd pump whine. Around here maybe its the soil type but pond sediment is the last thing we put on a garden. Nothing grows and the soil turns hard when it get a bit dry. Once dried out though it sure makes a good road.
good job the pond is looking better now we need some rain to help out hope you guys made it to Dairy Queen if I was there it would be my treat thanks for sharing stay safe
@david kettell oh they don't scare me. The whole thing is blown way out of proportion. Just taking care of my 84 year mother and helping elderly neighbors. Trying not to let them get it. I keep hearing them remind people to wash their hands. If they need reminding that is just sad. This is terror from the media as usual. Glad to hear you all are doing well. God bless
I look forward to your videos every morning. It is a great way to start the day and take my mind off all the craziness in the world today. Thank you for the excellent content.
Hey Guys! Fernando Johnson of Nanuet NY. Popping in to say "HI!" Love your show, and wanted you to know someone spoke well of Mike as one who introduced him to battery powered Chain Saws. Considering getting one myself. Keep up the excellent work and may God continue to Bless The Morgans; Mike, Melissa, Hunter, Hanna, Eva, Piper, Rue, and Archie!
I’ve been working on our pond lately too. We have a Bobcat excavator there right now that belongs to a friend of mine. Our problem is not quite enough water coming in, so we’re improving ditches to capture more surface runoff. It’s a lot of fun! God bless you guys. Jason from Indiana.
That soil in the bottom of the pond is black rich soil. Good job Mike and you kept yourself from sinking. Finish the day with the DQ and Bonus points :)))
Excellent video, guys! You are a great team! The camera angles were superb!! That Kubota is a great piece of equipment. I really enjoyed watching you run it.
Getting-ur done and staying safe. Nice dirt your pulling up. If ya can pull and dump some on the yard and rake in. Reseed and be surprised at what you get. Looken good and do NOT forget to take Melissa to DQ. The kids too. Have an evening...
On your stand pipe. Put a capon the end of the pipe fill with water and pour in 2 gallons of heavy duty drain cleaner. It will eat the organic material. Remove the cap and it will flush out than run a hose from a heavy duty pump water it to the discharge end of the pipe if it does not run out when you remove the cap. If it does flush it from the Lake end. It should clean it out.than get a filter cap for the end feed of the pipe to keep it clear. My brothers aunt’s pond had been stopped for 2 years running real slow and it worked, A guy who did ponds always tried that first before anything else and it worked about 75% of small ponds before he did anything to the dam. Worth a try. Will not harm the pipes.
Mike, Melissa, Have you thought about a few small "dry-dams" up stream from the pond? If not dams of soil, a few old trees staked to prevent water from pushing them down stream. It would hold some silt from coming straight down. The CCC did that in many areas here in Southern Indiana to help slow down the effects of erosion and we can still see where it was done in some places. The other option would be to find some old utility poles and lay them across to make small dams as well. Just thought I would pass that on.
Hi Mr Morgan.job well done...that is a hell of machine ...you pick up the right brand and the right company to associate with on your chanel... There is so much work and excavation you can do with that awesome machine.diffinetly that pond needs much needed attention ...it was on the back burner for so long...and you look very smoth operator on that beast. Keep up the good works.
Hey, Mike and Melissa, we're experiencing an ultra-dry summer here in Western Slope Colorado, about 20 miles northwest of Aspen. Couple big fires raging nearby, and it reminds us of having to abandon our home during the Lake Christine fire 2 summers ago. The Grizzly creek fire is now on the outskirts of Glenwood Springs, which is about 10 miles northwest of us on Hwy 82. Huge jet tankers are dropping orange fire-suppressant, plus a fleet of helicopters and 250 hot-shotters and local resources are helping, with more on the way. The Grizzly Creek is now the #1 fire-abatement priority in the country because interstate I70 has been blocked for two days, and the Roaring Fork Valley can't get groceries, mail, etc. I hope you get some rain, but AFTER we do! :) Also a very, very smart call on your part to hold off on using that great burn-put you built. Keep us mountain Coloradans in your thoughts and prayers!
I like the excavator videos Mike. Your control of that machine is so smooth you’d think it’s being run by a computer. Also, your cinematography & music is some of the best on youtube! Thanks!
And you can't top that Smile, she'll get her hands dirty and help with the work. Mike is a fortunate guy to wake up every morning with her at his side.
I agree whole heartily. Those cowboy boots when you see them arrive on seen 😍 all you can say is WOW! She's been working out, arms are strong, flat tummy, strong legs, rugged just right. True fan in Hawaii... Much love and respect aloha Missy

Hey Melissa. Have Mike build a seat for you under the bucket and swing it around in circles. Between that and a DQ trip it'll be just like you are at the carnival!
I’m not sure how you folks in western PA were able to get such beautiful hills, rich deep soil, and lack of stone and surface bedrock, but I think I’d like to move there! Every time I watch your videos and think about my rocky land, i get a twitch of envy for that lovely ground you live on! Any room down your way for a Canadian import LOL??
Greetings from Central NH (Lakes Region) - Melissa, great camera work, some interesting angles to see the work from, helps to get a better perspective of the site.
Mike, being an ex powder monkey, appreciate this. In the late 60's this is how my older brother and I "de-silted" our pond(dam here). It was similar to yours but a little smaller. We sank a 112lb bag of nitropil plus a few sticks of gely tn the middle, lit the fuse and then hid behind the rear wheels of the tractor on top of the bank. After the "big bang" we realised we had parked near a bee hive which used to sit on a 44gal drum, the hive was blown down and the bees a bit upset intent on killing the two of us. A half mile sprint back to the safety of our house. Later, back to the dam, there was no water left only a huge crator, the trees were devoid of branches and leaves, the side of the tractor facing the dam unrecognisable plastered by a few feet of mud. The dam was now silt free in milliseconds. Our hearing did return.
That's a pretty funny story. You sound like the kind of guy I'd like to hang around. With ear plugs in my pocket of course. I love watching stuff blow up. God bless you! Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, for the justification of your sin so you go to heaven when you die?
I've considered a pond on my Virginia mountain place, but you nailed it a couple days ago. Ponds and woods don't coexist well. Way too much woody debris constantly falling and heavy rains creating problems. Removing most of the trees around the pond would help with debris, but then you get more water plant growth so still a lot of maintenance. Since the pond was already there when you bought the place, it makes sense to keep it up. Nice video and fortunately you have the experience to keep that Kubota safe. Not recommended work for beginners.
Have you thought about planting some reeds at the head of the pond and up the creek bed to slow down the water flow? You certainly are a smooth operator. The way you offered to take Melissa to Dairy Queen was masterful and you're pretty good on the excavator too.
Next time perhaps do a complete drain on the pond, several months before you plan to do the cleanout. Perhaps work out now while it is low, how you would drain it. Siphon, build a drain port into the drain pop that you don't plan to re-use, etc.
I also watch LetsDig18 and Chris' must be running "hot-rod" equipment. His excavator runs way faster and I'm not talking bucket size. Reach, dig, turn, everything. I'm really enjoying these recent videos with the KX080. YOu're doing very nice work!
I kinda thought so, too. But it is new to the field rental equipment and he’s sitting on soft stuff. Being kind to the equipment just prolongs the job a hour or so. But those watching that do it day in and out are probably going close to max throttle.
I appreciate the different camera angles from up in the trees and stuff. Good job!
Running the Excavator, working on the pond and Dairy Queen with pretty lady, Sounds like a really good day. :)

it is a pleasure watching you use that excavator, you are a professional no doubt about it
Melissa, I enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, too! Something as simple as watching the clouds is amazing! Mike, you are moving quite a few cubic yards of dirt! You are a pro!
Mike your a pretty good operator, and Melissa is awesome to say she loves dirt.
Good morning Mike and Melissa. Great work. Have a great day.
Coffee and the Morgan’s playing by the pond! Another great way to start my day! Love from Northwest Indiana! 🙏🏻👏👍💗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Again - satisfying! I observed it taking some time but was reminded: Life by the inch is a cinch, life by the yard is hard❣️ Marcus in Chesapeake VA.
Looking good Mike. You’re getting it done like you wanted 👍👍. That KX80 has saved you a bunch already. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Mike love the videos ! Love to see a family enjoy life !
Nice work Mike!! Also liked the different camera angles Melissa was trying! That KX-080 is quite the machine!! Have a day!
good job the pond is looking better now we need some rain to help out hope you guys made it to Dairy Queen if I was there it would be my treat thanks for sharing stay safe

Dear Kubota Mike sure makes your eqpt look good.
Good morning. Hi Hunter and girls. Be safe.
I like the excavator videos Mike. Your control of that machine is so smooth you’d think it’s being run by a computer. Also, your cinematography & music is some of the best on youtube! Thanks!
Good show fella. Thank you for sharing.
Loved the camera shot from atop the hill!!
"I love dirt". Melissa is every mans dream of what a woman should be. Mike is so lucky.
And you can't top that Smile, she'll get her hands dirty and help with the work. Mike is a fortunate guy to wake up every morning with her at his side.
Come on guys!
I agree whole heartily. Those cowboy boots when you see them arrive on seen 😍 all you can say is WOW! She's been working out, arms are strong, flat tummy, strong legs, rugged just right.
True fan in Hawaii...

@@badcat4707 - Agree and wish we all could have a similar situation.
Nice progress Mike.
Chris of @letsdig18 is the king of pond dredging
Nice work with the excavator Mike. I recently hired an excavator and they are always 3 excavator buckets in our country. A small , a normal with teeth and a width one. A width excavator bucket would be great for the pond.
I am also an outdoorsman . Hunting , remove firewood with my tractor. I love staying in the woods.
I love watching your video's. I hope you understand, my english is not so good.
Kind regards from Belgium. Dirk
Hey Melissa. Have Mike build a seat for you under the bucket and swing it around in circles. Between that and a DQ trip it'll be just like you are at the carnival!
How nice, you are using your brain .
Hello Thurs another hot & sticky day ahead. Some rain last night in Providence,RI🇺🇸 good job Mike 👌 Melissa Rocks 👍 God Bless🇺🇸🚜
I don't comment enough, but I appreciate and enjoy your videos!
Great Videos Morgans keep them coming.
The pond is looking good!
Mike can handle that excavator like a pro. He can do in 15 minutes what would take me two hours.
Nice work mike Hi Melissa loved you last video with the dogs love from TEXAS
I've been without power for 6 days, so I'm watching all the videos I been missing. We had hurricane winds in Iowa on Monday.
Mike have you ever put a game camera at the pond to see what wildlife use it?
I’m not sure how you folks in western PA were able to get such beautiful hills, rich deep soil, and lack of stone and surface bedrock, but I think I’d like to move there! Every time I watch your videos and think about my rocky land, i get a twitch of envy for that lovely ground you live on! Any room down your way for a Canadian import LOL??
Good morning Morgan’s always enjoy your videos thanks have a day 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I know you are a pro at this, but you really had me wooried on this pond clearing.
Ken, why are you worried? Do you live down stream?
Greetings from Central NH (Lakes Region) - Melissa, great camera work, some interesting angles to see the work from, helps to get a better perspective of the site.
nice and quite in the cab
Good morning from the PNW. I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.

Yes it does sound like the diesel generators at a carnival. Tilta-whirl and the octopus along with many other rides.
Nice fishing hole now!
That black silt would make a really nice nutrient rich addition to a garden or flower beds.
I was thinking just the same thing...
Next time perhaps do a complete drain on the pond, several months before you plan to do the cleanout. Perhaps work out now while it is low, how you would drain it. Siphon, build a drain port into the drain pop that you don't plan to re-use, etc.
Hey Mike ... could you throw some logs to hold the mud from washing back in the pond .
Great video M&M
Smooth operator
I also watch LetsDig18 and Chris' must be running "hot-rod" equipment. His excavator runs way faster and I'm not talking bucket size. Reach, dig, turn, everything. I'm really enjoying these recent videos with the KX080. YOu're doing very nice work!
I kinda thought so, too. But it is new to the field rental equipment and he’s sitting on soft stuff. Being kind to the equipment just prolongs the job a hour or so. But those watching that do it day in and out are probably going close to max throttle.
Melissa brightens everything
That is some great dirt!
Big scoops, Mike. Big scoops!
Loving the drama
Agree with you Melissa on the carnival ride, but didn’t notice it until you said something about it.
Great music in the opening!!!
