I appreciate the "disconnect from the high voltage." I saw some other videos for my Prius that didn't mention that. safety is paramount. thank you.

Just shocked the fuck out of myself. Pardon my language. It was like being "lightly tazed" for a good two seconds.

What if your bulbs aren’t as bright as they once were, and you replace the bulbs and they’re still dim would replacing the ballast help?

Thank you for this video. I have a mini Cooper and when I turn on the headlights the headlight lamp lights up briefly and then goes off and triggers an alert on the dashboard.
This leads me to believe that the bulb is fine and that it will be the ballast that needs the replacement. I don't know if this is correct or not but I'm going to have to go off of that hunch for now.

Nice video! I have a Toyota Camry 2012, and i’m thinking about changing the ballast via the wheel cover( removing the wheel and cover, and access the ballasf there), as it looks easier than removing the bumper, etc. Did you ever do that?

Question when my Headlight switch is in Auto my right side light is out when I switch it to manual then my left side light goes out, I'll play with the switch they will both come back on for about 5 or 10 minutes depending on which mode is in auto or manual one will go back out. What could this be in your opinion Ballast, Fuse, bulb etc. I live Texas and I know the heat is bad for electrical parts plz help. Thanks

4:15 I have 2007 Toyota Prius (gen2); HiD headlights come in, then dim down; after driving for a bit, one or both headlights go out.
Flick headlight switch off/on, both headlights come back on.
Does the fluctuation of brightness and then going out more likely indicate a ballast issue?
Thanks (to anyone who can shed “light” on this.

Would it possible to fit the xenon lamps in the SE model with regular lights?
Thanks for the videos and hope you have a happy new year (-:

oh, that is a good idea. my guess is yes, since all the magic for the xenon happens inside the headlamp assembly. worth a try, if you can find a xenon headlamp, check the electrical connector for wiring similarity and the plug it in to see!

It was useful. But u really don't need to disconnect the battery if you're safe about ur work. And trust me. Ive been doing shit with batteries hooked up for years. Im pretty sure something simple like this with the lights left off is safe. Ive done it with the lights on. And nothing happened. Although back then ive gotten shocked but was never a pussy about it. Lol.
