Glad to see a cold weather demo of this fantastic beast. Living in the northeastern area of the United States, that is actually a concern for us. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! But yeah it works great in winter! I love the fuel injected motor as well, starts right up, I think it was -15 some days.
Pretty slick! 👍🇨🇦
Thanks Dave!
Very Impressive! Good to see it has arrived.
Thanks! Me too.
Great video! There are few and far between quality videos of Mahoe sawmills in action. Thank you!
Thanks! I have about 8000 board ft of oak to cut into timbers soon, so far the mill is pretty sweet.
Look forward to more videos!
Boy, that's a sweet unit!
Thanks! Its been working really good.
Very impressive machine I'd definitely consider one if I had bigger logs
Thanks! It does work great even on small logs if you are getting lumber out of it. What kind of mill do you run?
@@SharpeTimber a portable manual bandsaw it's a Norwood
Great video. Can it quarter saw lumber?
Thanks! Yes you can, I can get about %50 quarter sawn from a log.
Certainly must be a joy not having to manually rotate a log to get your boards from that bandsaw mill I saw in the background. The Mahoe certainly do have some great features on them. Did you get to use that taper cut facility so that you are always cutting parallel to the grain of the log?
Yeah sorry sure, its a ton of work doing everything manually on the bandsaw. I love the fact that it slides the boards back to me as well. I haven't cut much yet with the taper cut feature but I expect I will. Tomorrow I am starting to cut the oak for my house, will be posting a video soon after. I will have more opportunity to use it👍
Those guide cables look way to slack. Those Mahoe are expensive units, so a big investment. Hope it makes you some money real quick. :D
Yes they do look pretty slack, I tightened the bottom one a little, but they do need slack to work properly. I'm posting another video today, you can see when I pull the lever it tensions whatever cable needs to be tight to move forward or back. And yes It was a bug investment for sure! Starting to get some work with it so thats good. 👍

Thanks!
Boa noite. Voces vendem uma máquina dessa? Qual Valor?

May I ask the cost of the machine?
It was around $45 000 CAD after shipping
Мне в России очень пригодилось бы.
Yes for Sure!
A few questions where do you subscribe, I respect your choice on a Mahoe, did you consider a mobile dimension from the states, or a swing mill from BC, or Australia
Hey Ben! You can subscribe below any video or on my channel page! And yes we looked at a few options, we have had a lucasmill swing blade for about 10 years and the Mahoe seemed to be the best upgrade for us. We love how it cuts vertical and horizontal and brings the board back. The mahoe is a very well built machine.
I'm interested in a mill but not a band mill,I managed 1000 acres of woodlands and not having a decent price for sawlogs, I'm looking to cut to structural lumber and openly sell to the public. I'm interested in the Warriors swing mill but I don't know, what is your opinion.
@@bendugas8632 I have seen some videos of the turbo sawmill. If you are going to be milling a lot I would definitely look at the mahoe, it is much faster that the swing blade mills because it cuts a finished board in 1 go. It may be a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for, in the long run it could make you more money. I have seen the Mahoe mills that are 20 years old still working amazing. Also you can still produce a lot of lumber in a day by yourself. No need to walk to the log to retrieve the board, it just comes back to you. I just love how well built my mill is and how fast and accurate it is.
What is the maximum you can cut in your mill, ? X ? in inches.
@@bendugas8632 it can cut 8x12. The supermill can cut up to 10x12.
