As someone who is old enough to remember not having RUclips as a resource... This content is completely phenomenal. I spent $15,000 and 7 months at a tech school to learn how to do this. You guys always put out the best content!
Now I feel crazy being a student paying 13,000 for 7 months and I’m 32…. I could of just learned hands on?! And paid for the tests/certificates and studied myself?!
Im a Construction Manager and came up through the trade as a Pipe Fitter. I hold NCCER 1,2,3 & 4 in pipe and have my plus. This is the first good pipe related RUclips video I have seen related to our trade. I will make sure to share it with the new guys coming up I think your videos will benefit them. Keep up the good work.
Hi you guys are the bees knees i worked in the nuclear, offshore industry for 30 years this is the best video iv'e seen of how it is is done, btw we used to call wedges foxes,& we tacked bullets in the bevel instead ( the welders preferd it) of tacking in the butt, takes me back to wonderfull times.
Just learning welding. I have been a carpenter for close to 40 years, and I have always tried to work precisely. But you take it to a new level. Kudos 👏
Great work. One thing ive learned about when youre tacking on the single 45.. its a lot easier to tack the 45 onto the next piece of pipe, you can just stand up the pipe and set the 45 on it and tack it.. then tack that onto what you already have together..
As a Pipefitter with 8 years Journeyman and 1 year PF helper, we weren't as lucky to have these videos back then. We had to learn on the field as a PF helper. I just hope Fitter helpers really learn from this and actually practice this as a helper until they have it down right because I see alot of fake it till you make it wanna be Pipefitters out in the field that lie about how much they really know and put us real Pipefitters in a bind. Good luck green hands and pay close attention to this guy.
Watching these videos as a non-welder, I'm always impressed by how strong tack welds are. Those pipes look heavy and only 2 tacks holds it up. Anyways, thanks for the content!
Great video. really appreciate the knowledge you're passing down to us. I'm still school and this types of video helps give me an idea of what to do in the field.
I'm a B book HVAC technician out of steamfitters local 475 Newark NJ I worked for a big mechanical contractor for 20 years and never got into welding until now
I was a offshore construction superintendent youse to take a helicopter by myself fly to a production platform and the pilot would wait for me and I'd go take all the measurements on a bunch of piping go home draw up every thing let the shop fab it up and then bring a crew out and install everything that's all old school paper and pencil that was a long time ago but I enjoy watching
The flange+straight pipe fitting is easier vertical. But hey, what works works. Also it is way better to weld connections right away if you need the fit to be 100% level, since it ALWAYS pulls a little bit. But that is up to the client.
Definitely missing a few tricks of the trade but he is great on the basics. Any welder worth his salt has made a tool or two to make fit up much easier and faster.
You are VERY GOOD.! Your career level is VERY LEVEL + VERY HIGH accuracy. However: You just do. No need to say much. I see I still understand. Because I'm Vietnamese... don't understand What are you saying???? I have subscribed to the channel and support you 01 line. Thank you very much. Wish you good health....
When you checking the level on the side of the flange, I noticed you said it’s almost level, does it matter if it’s almost level ? Or do you need to have it perfect level ?

I'd like to ask if you can show the up and coming welders about rolling offsets in a video such as this one, to help further educate and show them how to apply the rolling method math wise and layout no one has this video yet!! help them please
Excelente el proceso constructivo. Pero me impresionaria muchísimo más si calcularán geometricamente la diagonal que va desde el inicio hasta el final y que además coincidiera con la pieza. Eso sí sería de alto nivel...!!
Did you check inside diameter of flange and pipe if it's ok Fit up it's cool if the pilipino pipe fitter they not fit up like that get table lay down the flange and put the pipe standing for flange so u can easily fit up for nice position
They are good welders and pipes, the advantages of today is that there are already couplets already manufactured of different grades and nothing else you have to put them and level, before the good pipes had to manufacture all the tubes with their respective degrees and reductions from higher to lower, they made the strokes, and templates, do not say the flanges, also I had to manufacture for hundreds of flanges I was welder and structurist cordial greetings atte Jesus
I'm happy that there's someone that wipes levels off as much as me, drives me nuts when people put them on things with a glob of metal on the bottom. 🙈

if you burn 9" from a 90.. what do you burn from a 45?
Every new pipefitter needs to watch this video... you showed an explained everything perfectly
I am currently getting NCCER Pipe fitter certified and he explains everything so well

You can use the internal fit-up clamp tool from sumner for flange to pipe installation and they have the ultra qwik clamp for pipe to pipe ether
I'm a B book HVAC technician out of steamfitters local 475 Newark NJ I worked for a big mechanical contractor for 20 years and never got into welding until now
You may have to two hole on a straight run of pipe if there is a seam. Awesome video. 💪💯

Is the 5/32" spacer a bent welding rod or what is that? Makes the gap process alot faster
Yes just bend a rod in half
nice videos😊
ありがとうございます♪
Good process 🔥❤️🇮🇩
The 90 square is really cool, I usually just a 2' level and a carpenters square to square my 90s
Is flickering, when the auto darkener stops for a moment when tig welding?
Those edits are dope!
Will there be a video where you demonstrate how you get your measurements using a laser, thanks !
Jennifer are you taking about using a laser level to find elevations?
@@cirizawelding5076 using a laser to run piping
Like laying out on the ground?
@@taylorsantos1011 using a laser to pull from each end, get elevation, offsets etc around existing pipe.
Awesome video for training🤘🤘🤘

Pretty much had to learn all this shit on the spot, hope future hands can use this as a reference.
Was it hard taking it in all so quick ? I’m in the same position
When you checking the level on the side of the flange, I noticed you said it’s almost level, does it matter if it’s almost level ? Or do you need to have it perfect level ?
very helpful tips

Can you do more iso, 45 degree offset and rolling off set from drawings
Why aren't you rolling out partial pieces and then doing 1 final weld in position?
