Great demonstration on the use of squares and how they can help, and how to use the measurement scales to get a 45°, I even learnt a thing also. In the day I even drilled and bolted squares together to achieve various angles when working alone. Even made a set of flange squares which are good and quick to use. Think my favorite tool was a digital magnetic square for piping set ups, so long as the battery didn't go flat, and if it did then out would come the squares, lol, excellent quality video
I like how my son's kindergarten pasta projects look similar to work I do. He's 6, and I showed him this, surprisingly he love this kinda stuff. Documentaries and stuff. After he saw he asked if we could do Mac and cheese for dinner. I absolutely said of course.
Even thou I appreciate what you are trying to demonstrate.. and yes most of this works.. trying to hold 2 squares on a 45 and taking measurement while trying to keep the fitting in line and rolled correctly, to get the tacks in.. you need 5 hands to pull it off or a crap load of expensive clamps... the videos are nice because it's all ready tacked up in the video and physics arent being applied.. in real life you would only fit up a pup on a 45 in the air if you where a masochist.. and realistically you would also just use a speed square or level with a 45..
Thank you Mr John, you liked this video, whatever may be the reason. this is one of my best performing videos. I dont think the viewers follow the methods, exactly as i had shown. May be some viewers enjoy watching this video. Regards.
I’m doing one of those 45s just like your video only rolled on it’s side in the air. We don’t always get to choose how or where we fit/weld. Great video
I like your demonstrations. Some of them have helped me. But most of the techniques shown is not worth anything in practice. If my boss saw 5 guys trying to hold all these squares and rulers, he would get a heart attack. 40$ x 5 is absolutely insane. No. If you cant fit up and weld pipes by yourself, your not worth much. Im currently working on 20" spools. Doing it all one mann. Cutting the pipes, grinding, fitting, welding. Using only a digital level. QC on everything and 100% visual, 10% magnetic, 10% xray on every spool. No problems at all. But all respect to you for the videoes. They are absolutely correct and the methods shown are sometimes making me say, hm, im gonna try that. Then i try to get 5 of my co workers to help holding squares. Not always easy 😅
Sin lugar a dudas muy buen video de demostración de sobre el uso de escuadras en presentaciones sobre cañerías de alta presión. saludo cordiales desde Argentina.
I am preparing a textbook for students. Would you allow me to take information and images from your videos and add them to the book? I will write the name of your page in the bibliography section of the book.
Nice animation but nothing new and in reality some of those methods would take to many people or pairs of hands to hold all the squares tape measures and to tack the pipe
@@technicalstudies. fair enough comment but again in reality it would be only a welder and his mate. No way would a safety officer a quality inspector lend a hand or even get them dirty and it’s not often they would be present on site all the time job depending. I’m not slating your video it’s a good animation and technique but this is all taught at apprenticeship level or later in life training.
@@stevestubberfield3528 lmao I don't know where you work but I want to work there. Most my life and the norm is you layout, cut, fit, tact and lay rod all by yourself. If you work with a side hand enjoy it why you can.
@@MrAjjordan On sites in the uk. You have to have a helper to carry the pipe etc and set the equipment up plus they act as fire watch when working in roof voids above factories.
After almost 20 years of pipe fitting this is prob the worse video on fitting I’ve ever watched….. almost every fit you made could’ve been 10000000 times easier with a level that has a 45* bubble and plain level bubble
