Nice explanation, I love this job,
John George is the best teacher y’all got. Hands down. Favorite teacher I ever had. Glad I could learn a lot from him!!!
Thanks Jordan enjoyed having you as a student
Wish I had these guys as my teacher. Anyways screw them fractions. I'm in Australia adding 100 + 550 together loving it. Shout out to Jville from Cairns Australia.
Keep more pipefitting videos coming!!! Great information
Thank you for the videos on fitting. Please do more.
measure from center to center of pipe then multiply by 1.414 then subtract your fittings and any other takeoff... If its a rolling offset measure from center of pipe to center of pipe then measure elevation of pipe from center to center then plug in those dimensions in here. a2+b2= then square root the answer.. Then subtract takeoffs and any other dimensions.
My respects to these teachers, I have been working as a pipe Fitter in Miami fl since 2014, he taught me a pipe Fitter from Cuba, Camagüey, he keeps each calculation in his notebook as the video shows, there are no errors if you do it this way, greetings
thanks sir i have struggled with things more complex but i appreciate this vid for a beginner as we all started somewhere and do not know everything. god bless
Thanks for all!
Great job
Thanks for the video. Brother
that was really great and educative
Thank you for making all of this understandable lol I found this so fucking helpful
thanks for sharing your idea sir
What happened to the Gasket T/O
What about the pipe size ? Aren’t they supposed to subtract that from something?
@@sloppyjonuts9162 the T/O is 2"because of the fittings
@@sloppyjonuts9162 those were 2"socket fittings .
I see now
I’m new to this it’s overwhelming
I’m a helper / apprentice
Not all Hero's wear capes. Lol
Hell yeah
Why did he write down 42" after the other guy said 39 1/4? That confused me.
Mr John took the measurements before so the other guy just said the wrong measurement. But the 42 is the right measurement.
Lol had the same question
Good video.Would like help how to find centerline of a eccentric reducer.
is that Bryan Hatch from the USS Emory S Land????
Yes. Yes It is I
You miss the gaskets
Gaskets are variable based on material thickness and spec. They would be take offs subtracted when you have those values
Millimetres 🇨🇦 - makes math easier
How come you can’t read 1/3 on a tape measure?
I went to Tulsa welding school in the early 90s Donnie Apple Gary Crawford Vince Miller still to this day I struggle to find people as versatile as they were I'm going from one process to the next it was an excellent experience which I have Excel and I do mean excel in the welding industry 31 years later I'm still at the top of my game and I do and do mean do fall back on the training I received in that school all those years ago this is a quote from my main instructor Gary Crawford if you can't "Dazzle them with finesse baffle them with bull shit until you can finesse your way out of the situation"
I like how the specialist didn’t know what to measure first the fitter had to hand him the level then he got the wrong size he looked at the top of the level instead of the bottom we’re it was sitting on flange
100%
Hi sir im PiPEFITTER
I thought he said 39 and a 1/4
Probably read wrong side of the level
He said 39 and a quarter
Wrong side of level
Pipe runs pass both flange faces 1 inch and 3/8
He said 39 1/4” 🤔🤔🤔
Wrong side of level
I'm trying to figure that out also
E and I am sure
to many numbers my friend all you need is a welding rod for those take offs
John looks like the kinda man to try meth once but really only once
