Bless this band, Bless little Patrick singing both his own and Elton John's part, jumping all over the stage and still have enough air to sound like an angel Bless Petey encouraging the crowd to sing with them and making sure they all have a good time Bless Andy boy standing up and singing till his face is red and he's gone out of air but still yelling out the lyrics And Bless Joseph for his always brilliant head bangs I love this band 🙌🏼may noting bad ever happen to them
Patricks can do screamy anthemic singing, vibratto, insanely beautiful rounded singing (elton john-like), punk rocky singing, his normal singing voice, and beautiful falsetto voice. What song CAN'T he sing really? His vocal range and his ability to do so many things with his voice regarding tonality is just phenomenal man.
I know! It's like he has some magical switch! And usually when people go from low to high (and vice versa) it's really hard to not have a slight indication in your voice that your voice is transforming, but patrick did it seamlessly (granted he did move his mouth away from the mic after singing the Elton voice "no" so he might have cleared his throat or something before going back to singing his normal high voice.
Well as far as I know Patrick got into singing through impressions really so I guess that's how. It took me honestly until I saw the video to realise that the deep voice wasn't Pattycakes
+FallenWings My understanding of it is you're "worth" is what you love. It isn't who loves you. Bc you may not have alot of people who love you, but you may love alot of things/people.
Actually, I listened to this same song recorded from someone's phone, and despite the bad audio quality (Seeing as it was recorded from a mobile phone) he still sounds just as good.
Most artists skip the ft'd part, or sing it normally. But Patrick fucking Stump IMITATES that shit SUCCESSFULLY. this is why he is the greatest singer rn
live though Pete will go "please stand for your national anthem" before they play grand theft autumn/where is your boy but I think sr&r is on the wintour setlist!
I'm going through heavy depression these few days and listening to the albums fall out boy has made in the past and I came across this song and when I saw the music video it made me cry. I don't know why lol but this band has really kept me from thinking a lot more negativity on my mind these days so thank you fall out boy for making your fans feel better I hope I can see you guys live one day and I also hope I'll be able to beat this tough depression inside of me ;-;
It's unreal to see how much they've improved when performing live. Compare this to Live in Phoenix, Patrick is so much more confident and ha way more control over his voice, Joe is doing more of his amazing improv work and he isn't flipping around the stage like a madman anymore, Pete isn't being the centre of attention, he's just coasting along and Andy...well, 6 years ago you'd never see Andy stood on his fucking drumkit singing his heart out.
I watch the live in phoenix,..and i see what you see,. unreal but true,..i more adore them now,..matured and real,..i admire their friendship,..i hope they stay together,..and make real music lyrically and musically,..
I need to say a few things about this. Odkskjxjfw Stumps deep voice always kills me. Every time I hear this song I could always see the music video then I start laughing because the MV is hilarious when Eilton comes out and gives them the wine and bread as there guitar picks. I just love it how all of them in the end started singing like Finally Andy!! And I was so happy in the end wen Andy got up On his drum and started singing
The last 35 seconds of this performance (well the song in general) just gives me chills. I love watching Joe, Andy, Pete, and Patrick all singing together. It's beautiful to me
The thing I've noticed with patrick that is different from many other artists I've seen live, is that when patrick does little ad lib singing it sounds GOOD and it goes super well (sometimes even sounds better than original). Other performers I've seen try to "spice up their song" and either can't hit the notes or it sounds super weird with the original music.
The moment I first heard this song, I knew it would be one of the most electrifying live songs in their catalogue. Epic performance. This one's sticking with me.
This is one of those songs that sounds completely different with headphones. If you are listening to this without headphones, I highly recommend you put headphones is OMG! AMAZING!
It makes me want to cry sometimes knowing I'm never gonna be able to meet them or go to one of their concerts because they are so amazing and such an inspiration
Omg I just keep replaying that ending so many times!!! How does he even hit those notes?!? It's like NOOOO you can't be that talentedddd!!!! Patriiiickkkk!!!!
Not really sure what you're getting at, the wobbling is impressive but the notes are pretty run of the mill, they're not incredibly high or low. I could hit them.
After I saw them live in November, this song will always be a favorite. At the end of the song, the crowd was all one. No matter what any individual was going through at the time, no matter what hardships were being faced, no matter what differences people had, everyone was happy and everyone was screaming those lyrics until their lungs gave out. Everyone was united, just living in the moment, and think that's truly beautiful.
Nothing more electric than being in the same room experiencing this band live. Thanks for being one of the soundtracks of the last 13 years of my life FOB :)
Ive been listening to these guys since i was 8 years old, patrick is one of the greatest vocalists of all time in my opinion. His range is absolutely incredible.
It's awesome how a band like this can have such powerful music tht it makes the entire crowd join in and sing the whole "no, no, we won't go!" And so on c:
Okay the ending gets me every time I watch it. Just the fact that they stopped playing their instruments and it's just them singing. And it's not just Patrick, but Pete, Joe, even Andy singing. Pete kills me at the end too because you can hear him scream wholeheartedly the lyric and wofkjejwjkdkekw
This song in general live is amazing, but especially the ending when everyone is shouting "Oh no! We won't go, 'cause we don't know when to quit..." Just the atmosphere when you're in the venue and everyone is so into it, it's so amazing! I've seen them live and this moment in the song was particularly moving
If I Could Hang Out With One Person For a Whole Day It Would Be... Mr. Patrick Stump. He Seems So Much Like A Down To Earth, I-Don't-Give-A-Shit-What-You-Think-Of-Me Kinda Guy... He's Just All Around A Great Guy. Great Job Patrick 👍
I haven't watched this in a while. I'm feeling down today, so I went and watched this video because I miss this song, this era in particular. I cried. I found comfort in this. Thank you, Fall Out Boy.
That is impressive how well he does Elton's part. The whole performance was great, that part just surprised me. I hadn't heard Patrick sing like that b4.
Through be told, rock and roll is actually dying. How many people would answer you that rock and roll is their favourite music genre? How many people would stand up and sing classic rock songs, punk rock songs, alternative rock songs with our being criticised? People, rock and roll is dying. And is up to us to save it. I think if I had to choose one live performance by Fall Out Boy to show someone, it would be this one. This is what they are capable of doing when they are at their best and damn, does it ever show
The world isn't ready for Patrick's deep Elton John voice.

YESSS THIS WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. PATRICK REALLY DESERVES ALL THE LOVE!!

Grim eh as much as I love Patrick, no one can beat Freddie.
Brendon Urie approves
my fave vocalist of all time, *still* underrated :)
FUCK HE HAS SUCH A GREAT VOICE HE SINGS ELTONS PART SO DAMN GOOD
Patrick has like 7 sets of lungs dude...............him singing elton john's part gave me goosebumps
HOW THE FLIP DO YOU CHANGE YOUR VOICE LIKE THAT PATRICK oh my gosh
Vocal control
Patrick is just a beast
He sounds like Elton John when he wants to.
When you have 18 lungs like he does that also helps
OMFG THAT WAS SO FREAKING AMAZYNG
HOW DE HELL DOES PATRICK'S MAKES ELTHON JOHN'S VOICE SO PERFECT?
SHIT I LOVE THEM THEY ARE JUST AWESOME
I KNOW I'M DYING
I was thinking the same thing
Magic
Well as far as I know Patrick got into singing through impressions really so I guess that's how.
It took me honestly until I saw the video to realise that the deep voice wasn't Pattycakes

+FallenWings Oh 😂😂
Are we sure that Patrick didnt sing Elton's part in the music video?
"It's a mystery"
he did
Rose Watson Might be, and the Elton we saw in the video may have been a mask like they did in the I don't care :)
joe put middle finger up pause at 42 seconds
Ozan Kulcu if you look up save rock and roll interview Patrick said that it was the real elton
Usually, singers live sucks. But he's one of the few who actually HAS talent!!
Not to rain on your parade, but this is edited footage. Fall Out Boy is really good live, but not perfect.
+DPsplash Her parade has been successfully drenched! xD
+DPsplash I agree. If you watch The Voice' performance... they don't sound so good, lol
Actually, I listened to this same song recorded from someone's phone, and despite the bad audio quality (Seeing as it was recorded from a mobile phone) he still sounds just as good.
+Noont Gaskart actually, no one on The Voice sounds good. I've heard FOB live and they sound AMAZING.
Most artists skip the ft'd part, or sing it normally.
But Patrick fucking Stump IMITATES that shit SUCCESSFULLY. this is why he is the greatest singer rn
"Yo, I got a soul voice"
HAHAHA YES |-/

Yo, i got a soul voice
Love the end when they're all yelling into the mic, especially Andy in the background.
Man, his fucking voice is amazing, one of the greatest voices of the present music.
Patrick's range. *brain breaks*
IKR like when he went into the deep voice for specific lyrics was when i truly loved listening c:
Here comes the cringey P!ATD fangirls and say "DID YOU HEAR BRENDONS VOICE XD"
Patrick is more talented so stfu
I really hope they add this to their future set lists again. This song is FOB's anthem
Nah their anthem is grand theft Autumn for sure
I'd say Save Rock and Roll or Sugar We're Going Down is there anthem
+_ Jalistorm _ in concerts Pete actually says "please stand for the anthem" and then they play grand theft anthem :)
+Chloe Falzon oh
live though Pete will go "please stand for your national anthem" before they play grand theft autumn/where is your boy but I think sr&r is on the wintour setlist!
Friggen amazing live performance!
"Live"
Milo de jong He's amazing live ^.^
ANDY'S SO ADOREABLE STANDING ON HIS DRUM SET SCREAMIN' HIS LUNGS OUT, AW, THAT'S SO CUTE
Decent Elton John impression.
"Decent"?! "DECENT"?! Hunny. Please.
That was a spot on impression
@@noelharris7329 calm down

HowIMetFallOutBoy 'Chicken' is actually what Patrick sings in the video xD
Amelia Davis You made me search the actual lyrics. xP
Haha xD 'kicking' is what it's supposed to be, but it definitely sounds like Patrick sings 'chicken' :')
That wasnt an elton impression. He does that in Thnks fr th Mmrs when he does it live. Hes just that skilled
People say it cuz it Elton's part
it's amazing how quick he can go from high to low?????
Idk which I love more, andy casually standing on hus drums at the end, pete's smile, or patty's voice change omg
Patrick got the voice of an angel.
The last 35 seconds of this performance (well the song in general) just gives me chills. I love watching Joe, Andy, Pete, and Patrick all singing together. It's beautiful to me
ha wow, I wasn't actually watching the video and I thought that Elton John was singing his verses but it was actually Patrick. :O
nice find
have you watched the other videos
yeah I had a mini marathon.
I also thought at first that it was Elton John who sang that part... Patrick is really amazing...
Me too haha. It's like he's doing a duet with himself.
I thought that when I saw them on monumentour! but it was just Patrick(:
The thing I've noticed with patrick that is different from many other artists I've seen live, is that when patrick does little ad lib singing it sounds GOOD and it goes super well (sometimes even sounds better than original). That is impressive how well he does Elton's part. The whole performance was great, that part just surprised me. I hadn't heard Patrick sing like that b4.
He sings low like that quite rarely. It only occurs a few times on Infinity on High record and Folie a Deux record. It's beautiful.
Best song I've ever heard in my entire life.

I love him, beautiful love song 🖤

FALL OUT BOY, COME TO THE PHILIPPINES
why did all of them singing together at the end make me emotional what the hell
My favorite song of all time!
That range though!
Aaah the good old days. Was a crazy fan of FOB during school. Almost 10 years now, this video reminds me of those were the good old days hehe.
