Still Some Larger Rainbows To Be Found During Late Summer Early Fall Truckee River Fishing Outings

Still getting out a bit to the Truckee, seeking out those larger fish that may be lurking. They are still mostly in the faster water. The water temps are finally really good...between low 60's to mid-60's. That is, you can fish most of the day, if you want to, and catch and release the fish without too much worry about them swimming off safely. Me and the Seanimal have covered some water the last week or so but were able to find a few really good specimens of the Rainbow trout variety. It'll be BIG BROWN fall soon!
