Lots of Visits to the Truckee River Are Necessary During the Fall To Find a Big Fish or Two

Perseverance. That's the name of the game this time of year when fishing the Truckee River. There are big fish (especially those pumpkin-colored pre-spawn Browns) to be found but it takes patience and covering lots of water. We've found a few okay fish the last few times out....it's definitely taken quite a few trips and lots of lure/jig donations to the river bottom/rocks. With any luck we've seen our last 90 degree days for the year and we can start targeting the bigger fish for more than a few hours a day. Get some!

Good fishing. I got my second monster brown back to back from Truckee river.
First one was 26" 5.3 lb 2 weeks ago. Week ago got 24" 4.5 lb. What a fishing trips for me. Got my video on RUclips catching the 24" brown.
