    You missed that EraseMan breaks guards as well, so even the Shield program and Reflectors can't stop it, and it deals double damage to frozen enemies.

      im going by GBA memory here but if I remember correctly, he can also deal damage to enemies who flinch and would have invincibility frames. One thing I learned the hard way in the latest N1GP Blood Moon, is that WindRack can be beaten by movement-inducing chips. In my game 3 highlight, I used it, but my opponent used GrabBnsh at the same time, meaning it pushed me back, and thus while the racket clearly hit him, the wind gust didn't come out. Cost me the match.

    • @scoutmasterdemi
      @scoutmasterdemi  Год назад +5

      Yes, and believe it or not: a well-timed movement with the max step NaviCust bug (don't remember the official name) can dodge the wind to save Life Aura!

    Some additional notes:
    Full Cust has another use, you can burn a turn of your opponent's gregar or falzar form, or if you are incredibly lucky, their despiration form. The exact damage for popping antidamage is 10. A bonus of panel grab is that you can use it in the center and force a position from them, or trapping them with a rock can drop a object (ex fan) to keep the area.

  • @syrelian
    @syrelian Год назад +7

    "If they don't have a SuperArmor they'll get blown back" Even if they do, they get knocked back, Push/Pull effects always stagger like that, however WindRack actually does flinch, it just does so WHEN THE PUSH ENDS
    One thing of note about PanelGrab is that it doesn't require you to claim a whole column to grab the next column, this makes it helpful for setting up MeteorKnuckles, or just getting that inch of space you need while your opponent is bodyblocking AreaGrabs
    Slo/FastGauge are absolutely staples, you won't see BOTH of them, but you will almost always see one or the other, many Cross focused strategies will use SloGauge, since they rely on inherent attacks and thus dragging time out starves their opponent of options, while most other strategies want FastGauge because uhh, Meter Go Zoomie, FullCust is definitely more variable though
    Invis Good, end of story, watch out for those EraseMans and JudgeMans tho
    Sanctuary is a bit over-valued by you, its awkward code makes it hard to run, and its value is a lot more incremental than LifeAura is, it only means much if it lasts, where LifeAura often blanks a whole turn or demands specific answers to be employed immediately
    AntiDmg's threshold is 10 damage specifically, this is worth noting because BusterUp and HubBatch can raise your buster shot to that in battle, as can PatchCards, or rolling a crit shot on Buster Bug, aside from that, it has some special behaviors when you're animation locked by something such as HeatCross ChargeShot, you will not perform the Vanish until MegaMan would be in an actionable state, but WILL remain invincible until that occurs(note, canceling your animations entirely with a Cross or BeastOut will also eat it resolving)
    EraseMan, solid 10/10 staple, Paralyzes(which means no i-frames), pierces Invis, pierces AntiDmg, even crushes Shield/AntiDmg Back+B commands, just hard to go wrong with him
    JudgeMan, ElemMan, also just really solid, Element-Elec lets you break tiles, if your opponent doesn't have AirShoes, thats field control, and using a Tornado attack on an elemental tile changes it to that element and doubles its damage, so Element-Ice and Element-Grass both set you up for devastating combos in that manner as well
    SuperVulcan is kind of over-rated, it requires significant investment to make it work(WhiteCap or ElecCross Chip-Charge, plus multiple boosters), and has an incredibly narrow attack zone, for a similarly dangerous payoff you can try throwing BEEEEESSSS at your foes, RiskyHoney is a multi-hitting homing Wood attack and a Shield effect that crumbles to Fire damage, but in addition, every time the Shield gets hit with a minor cooldown, another batch of Bees is unleashed, as its homing, it has significantly better ability to connect, and as its Wood, it can be boosted very cleanly with THawkCross, The N1GP's noted player Salad was rather well known for making horrors out of a couple good RiskyHoney3 uses
    BubbleStar combos incredibly well with ThunderDoll or FlashBombs(the latter of which ignores i-frames)
    Uninstall is nuts, note that it also rips off similar abilities that aren't normally available in the NaviCust, such as custom Back+B commands from PatchCards, as well as the suite of NCProgram effects that HubBatch grants, but not Cross/BeastOut powers, its biggest challenge is finding a good delivery vector, my vector of choice for it was FlashBombs, throw am at the backrow and they can only be avoided by AntiDmg or a Shield, as being at the back makes it hard to destroy, and whether it explodes or lands on your head, it'll apply the Uninstall effect
    GroundCross gives SuperArmor, but so does GBeast, awareness of Cross and BeastOut passives is important in battle
    MachGun1 * is absolutely a staple, not a sleeper at all, solid damage, it forces movement, its low cost so you can run multiple, or Reg or Tag it, just an amazing chip I saw constantly during my time with the N1GP community
    Something I think you overlooked, considering we ALL have access to them, is DoubleBeast and Cybeast chips, which are both oppressively powerful, DoubleBeast especially is a nearly no questions asked 420 to the dome whenever it resolves

    a chip that was missed that i personally love to use is Murumasa, like life aura and sanctuary this chip will most likely not match your majority chip letter. Murumasa is a sword attack that does damage equal to your current lost hp capping at 500. With auto tracking from beast out and full synchro this can cut down a opponent to 2/3-1/3 of their remaining health leaving you room to end the fight with your giga chip.
    Another that wasn't mentioned is grab revenge. It deals damage for area stolen then force opponents back
    If you enjoy area control and cornering your opponent I would suggest running Col force as your giga chip. Taking full advantage of Stun and beast out gregar's machine gun with Colforce's hard to dodge-ability paired with a white capsule for stunning for most new players and quite a few experienced players, you too can bring a 1500 health player to 100 in 10 seconds. It is disgusting how much damage this combo does for how easy it can be pulled off (disclaimer, more experienced players do tend to try to steal area to gain control too so mileage on Colforce might vary)

  • @generate_10
    @generate_10 7 месяцев назад

    For those who are also new to PvP, you can set AirSpin2 L and Tornado L as TagChips (only in BN6) which lets you use Tornado as a boost for AirSpin2 to spin much longer, since if you think about it, the AirSpin2 object has some kind of wheel on it that spins rapidly and releases wind to deal damage, if you can land a Tornado on that object, that AirSpin will last longer, leaving your enemy stuck in that AirSpin2 for devastating damage if it hits.
    Possibly my most favorite non-PA chip combo ever. Solid staple. Used in almost all my matches.

    I've been a fan of this series for a long time, but I've never played pvp. Do you think the prevalence of so many staple chips hurts the meta? From my perspective (comparing it to some TCGs for instance), it seems like folders lose some of their identity and uniqueness from having to run so many staples.

    • @EeveeShadowBacon
      @EeveeShadowBacon Год назад +3

      Nah, every game has its staples, but it's what you build around them that counts. You still got your Giga and the left over megas to build, and your navi-cust plays a big part in your strat too. This game goes deep

    • @thanderhop1489
      @thanderhop1489 Год назад +2

      @@EeveeShadowBacon I sorta wish it was more viable in PvP to run the kind of fast fluid folders that are good in PvE. So you run about 20 real chips that are part of your offensive strategy (maybe it's grass panels + fire, bubbles + elec attacks, panel cracking + snakes/summon black etc, maybe something around a double soul or PA if it's in an earlier game) instead of running almost 20 * coded defensive chips, staples, and 50+ Mb "standard" chips that are one-ofs in their code.
      And actually, I think the idea I'm giving here could work out sometimes and be a cool surprise. I'll probably do that on the online ladder once I get around to playing the LC. Problem is, most of the time you're gonna be slogging for too long through life aura, sanctuary, multiple invis, anti damage, area grab, 2000 HP, and eventually your opponent will drop Colonel Force or Bass with +30 from beast out or more and you probably almost die from that alone.
      The other thing that can really outcompete "PvE" style folders is just how strong some crosses are on their own without many chips. Like, slash cross with slow gauge and just 1 area grab can deal a ton of damage, and a slow gauge turn leaves you without new chips for a really long time.
      One silver lining I do like however is that you can charge some of your defensive chips using beast out, so if you find yourself not needing them and get a good opportunity, you can press the offense more that way.

    • @syrelian
      @syrelian Год назад +1

      The "necessity" of the staples is over-exaggerated, many people run far less of or none of some or all of these(and other TCGs tbh have Worse Staple bloat, as a YGO player myself, but don't drown in it)
      Synergetic fluid folders are common and encouraged, the problem with covering too many "staples" at once is that they push each other out, I could cause the same issue with a YGO deck by just going Ash, Veiler, Kaiju, Nib, Imperm, Dark Ruler, etc etc and get a 30 card "staple" pile
      What is most important imo is to understand the combat dynamics are different, counter-hit and Full Synchro are not common because prediction isn't as simple

    • @scoutmasterdemi
      @scoutmasterdemi  Год назад +1

      Recover chips are interesting. They definitely help keep you alive, but if the game goes past 15 turns the winner is determined by who dealt the most damage to the opponent. So Invis and AntiDmg are good at preventing damage in the first place. Recover 300 is definitely a strong chip if your folder has codes around it though!

      Recovs are rather middling, some builds will use them, but reactive responses are inherently worse than proactive ones, so its harder to leverage meaningfully, you can't use em if you're dead already, and if you run past 15 Turns you get hit with DAMAGE JUDGE, the tie-breaker mechanic that defines the winner as the person who dealt more damage, not who has the most HP left or the least HP lost currently, but the total damage dealt over the round

    • @syrelian
      @syrelian Год назад

      @@djt08031996 HubBatch is a really nifty Giga to use, but Gigas are unreliable(you literally can't have them in your top 10 chips to draw) so don't forsake your built-in NaviCust options entirely because of it, also practice your Back+B execution, HubBatch grants you an innate Shield program, and you'll get a lot more out of it if you can successfully use it
      For other Gigas, I'm a personal fan of ColonelForce over in Gregar, but you can't go wrong with Bass or MeteorKnuckle, it can be grindy to set up since they consume BugFrags with each use but BugDeathThunder and BugRiseSword are mad fun too, they switch your Charge Shot out with a high powered Thunder, or LifeSword, respectively
      If you meant like, general folder building ideas for HubBatch, you'll wanna go for tools that let you leverage all the boosts it gives you, having pretty much the whole suite of perks means you can do a lot with your buster and movement, so things that inhibit the enemy to utilize those advantages, such as Geddon, can be potent, in general though HubBatch doesn't really begger any specific tactic to use it, aside from asking you to demonstrate generalized competency with your buster and shield, as a bonus, you can use it to undo the effects of an Uninstall in practicality(but it will in turn still lose to Uninstall if that comes out later)

    I won’t buy this Legacy collection for 2 reasons. 1. I got a GBA cartridge from eBay that has ALL the cut content from Western releases fully translated including a fully translated Battle Network 4.5. And 2. I will never touch online pvp because of cheese folders I’ve never online battled before but after what I’ve seen I’ll never be inclined to either. Seriously I grew up with Classic MegaMan and owned all franchise entries I literally grew up with ALL the Megabros but I won’t take part in cheese mechanics just to pull a win that just leaves more people thinking “Wow battle network blows” less players become interested. I don’t blame em even as a “use to be” die hard fan I can’t play MegaMan anymore.. he’s become such a joke and all because his fans are weak as hell with no restraint.

      I have that same cartridge, along with the originals, and I think I am glad I got the collection. Even if you don't play pvp, it's great to have a way to trade chips/programs/styles without having to worry about having someone local. I am having a blast playing these games again and watching demi playing on stream. I want to get better in game and learn how to play online. I remember loving star force 2 and 3 online. To each their own. Cheers m8! 😀

      Yes it is the fans fault Crapcom has been milking the IP harder than most in existence especially if you consider each title that’s just been copy pasted as ports for what was it now? Oh yeah 2 decades lol 🤣🤷‍♂️ And I’m obviously not talking about EXE exclusively I’m talking about the entire franchise. MegaMan 11 blew idc how much Downs kids loved slowing time and clearing entire enemy spawns on the entire screen with multiple abilities that literally did the same thing rofl. 😂👍 Classic MegaMan did not “NEED” “slow time” and it didn’t need multiple abilities to frontal rape entire levels that was just to carry the majority of y’all that can’t play games in general and get hyper sensitive when you cant accomplish something on the first try “shocking”. I absolutely blame the fans when the IP is degrading in front of your eyes and you get “lesser” products that just ware the face and not the passion or effort it once had its “less” anyone with half a brain cell could see how far MegaMan has fallen as an IP lol Crapcom even cheered on Keiji Pedofune to create Mighty No.9 who btw took all that money and gave multiple promises to the fans yet failed more than half 😂 more like it was just a move to starve the fan base and give Pedofune a chance to get money for his use after he left and Crapcom got valuable data on what to focus on etc for the future while pulling all their money into other IP like Retard evil and Street diaper so MegaMan was obviously put on the back burner it was no secret that crapcom was hurting for money so it makes perfect sense. I’m a HUGE MegaMan collector I own almost everything but have been selling it off because I hate the fan base more than I hate Crapcom. I’m not stupid enough to keep buying merch or games from a company that lies and disrespects its loyal fan base I got to much self respect not that I expect anyone in today’s age to understand that statement lol to many of you run to social circles just for cheap acceptance the same way RUclips channels that deliver the truth don’t flourish you gotta only see the “good” even in dog shit or people just lose interest or run away from the truth. I’m just sick of weak and worthless individuals that bend the knee for something so cheap developing a back bone would give you higher quality not only in life but in your interests. People didn’t discover alternative elements by fusing duck and dog shit nothing in this world that’s great or was good was made by people that feared basic opinions or truths of course I know it’s the fans fault it’s mindless consuming with 0 regard to quality. Maybe y’all could take a few less knives in the back if you worked for something “real”. Buying everything everything mindlessly isn’t a 2 way street that only brings benefits to crapcom not the consumer... oh? You say it does? Than why are they still crapping on the IP? 🤣👌 You honestly think Cuntcom cares about it’s fans? Why give them garbage? Why scam them? Why leave them on hold for 2 decades? You fans are like a sad needy boyfriend that doesn’t understand what “we are done” means so you hover around pretending you still have that respect and relationship so you take the disrespect out of desperation think there is a future when in reality you are just being used lmao! 🤣
