So, I actually learned the importance of stacking from messing around with BN5 patch cards on the GBA. Even though there were no English cards, the BN5 GBA games could still receive them if connected with an e-reader. So, using some emulators with the proper roms (VC for the free Bass Cross, Regular so you could add/remove more patch cards), and the english patch cards from Prof. 9, you could get bass cross for 0 MB on the Virtual Console Version of BN5 rom, then load that save to a regular BN5 rom version and still have 80 MB to play with. If you worked it right, you would have about 150 MB to play around with when loading cards (Since adding the free Bass Cross from the VC didn't add MB, but removing it would remove MB), but with so many options, it made you plan REALLY hard so you could optimize effects without too many bad bugs. Led to some really interesting builds when the limiter was basically turned off. :) But, they had to be in the right order, or you would mess up the build. Love the channel, keep up the good work!
There were a few that I remember. One was combining Nebula and the Life Virus for both the Life Aura and Dark sword. Nothing like standing right up in their face charging and the virus not being able to stop you. I also loved just throwing in Dex's Custom onto builds, since it's just a solid +5 attack. I liked doing that with the Team Protoman bass cross just so I could stand in the middle, charge, and let 'er rip down all the aisles, just like bass. :) Another one was mixing Hub with Duo, and having all the chip power in the world (+3 Megas, and +2 Gigas from the Patches), while only sacrificing about 30% HP. I also liked making builds themed around characters, stacking HP buffs for huge life energy, a grass based healing build, or trying to add every ability at once. :) Again, I got REALLY good at ordering these in a way to maximize benefits since alot of these actively fight against each other.@@scoutmasterdemi Edited: Realized that I should specify the +3 Megas and +2 Gigas from the patch cards makes 8 mega chips and 3 giga chips, not gives that much. :) Also, you find out alot of abilities that don't work together, like BassCross Shooting buster and panel change effects do not trigger together.
I’ve planned out the ultimate Hub.Bat build: Mr. Famous Ultimate Custom- Custom+3, Mega+2, Giga+2, First Life Aura(add Needler patch card or anything with status guard optionally). Body Pack(or set them individually for space optimization), Attack MAX, Charge MAX, Speed MAX in the navicust(optional shield). See if I can improve on that😅
Quick note! Actually you can increase your ATK power up to 10 even with modifiers like Buster Ups, however when in Beast Out you will go back to ATK 5 cus ofc it will be very broken to the Feather / Machine Buster shootings Edit: Yea, the CS of crosses are capped at 5! I noticed that! Imagine with Buster Bug ATK 10 in this lmao!

I originally played around with the patch cards in BN5 via a AR code that allowed you to access them. It was clear even back then how powerful some combinations could be. I didn't understand about the order to activate them back then so it'll be interesting to try out more combinations now that the LC is out. Haven't even started on 4-6 yet though, do you still have the discord trader that you mentioned in a previous video?
@@scoutmasterdemi that's great to hear! I was just about to look for someone to compare libraries with in 3, I'll look around for a link to the discord and hopefully hop in when I get back into my account
Arrowspate here! Charge Shots don’t cap at 5, i tested that already. They can and will do 100 damage on charge at max level. BeastOut *does* cap at 5 though.
I made a video a few months ago on battle settings but the best thing IMO is to join a discord for battles! Ours has a ton of people fighting on Legacy Collection : )
You can turn them off and replace them with different ones by going to the MegaMan screen right before entering the Navi Cust and going to the right where it says parameters
Sucks BN1 only has the Bass card Jist wish they showed more love fir the collection, akd included the content from Double team DS, as that was the superior version of BN5
What do you need in double team ds that's not in mmbn6 (bass and django)? Mmbn5 has colonel and Protoman. Glad vid showed some builds like dark megaman as you can only use these patches once per version and I already used Django and it takes up a lot of space. I can delete it should I change my mind at least (just saw other comments). I am thankful mmbn5 and 6 has item patch cards so I can get battle chips, sneakrun (skip encounters) and unlocker out of the gate, which greatly enhances the games (as well as the playstation Sept 2023 sale for physical and digital).
Mr. Famous is a really fun patch card. First life aura and those extra gigas, megas, and custom are amazing
Needler is gonna be the no-brainer for most builds. +1 all buster stats with SuperArmor for only 10mb is just too good to miss out on.
Oh wow, learning about the order to re-enable certain programs is real eye opening now.
The Dark Mega Man Build is pretty for newcomers. Especially if you’re new to BN4 or BN5 since those 2 games are home to Dark Chips.
Definitely! Especially since you don't have to think any harder -- it's just all the MB!

Thank you Ethan! That's very kind of you to say. What were some of the funniest builds you pulled off with a bigger MB limit? : )

What happens if you use chip shuffle and numberopen at the same time? Does the shuffle button override your last 2 chips?
Ahh! I should have mentioned that you "start" with the Navi Cust, then patch cards apply. So I'm fairly certain you'd get the shuffle!

Absolutely! And the Mr. Prog auto-trader works for BN3 and BN6 on both Switch and Steam!

The normal charge shots don't cap at 5, but the Cross ones do
@@The_Meev true, but crosses don’t matter as much in this format
Yeah. DemiD probably meant that CSs from crosses cap at 5 and not base MegaMan's CS.
Awesome. Patch cards has been tons of fun
Where's my Shanghai.EXE Patch Card??
Such power needs 100 mb
hey guys what do yall set in multiplayer settings to get matches the quickest?
Can't seem to get any at all on BN6

@@scoutmasterdemi got it thanks mate :)
Dumb question, but once you set a patch card, can you change it later? And if so, how?
You can turn them off and replace them with different ones by going to the MegaMan screen right before entering the Navi Cust and going to the right where it says parameters
You sure can! On the "Megaman" screen, scroll all the way right and hit A. You can turn off and delete your patch cards you loaded!
Thanks guys!

Is this video silent for anyone else?
I can personally hear it and haven't seen other comments about it
