The Clansman live rock in Rio is the #1 greatest performance ever of this song there is so much energy in this song. Every time I listen to it I have to just get up and dance.
Such a great performance. It captures perfectly a maiden concert at its best. Amazing crowd and the band in fantastic form as always. A legendary concert as you mentioned. Part Scottish here.
How many bands do you see having that much fun while still giving the highest quality of music? They truly love their fans. That's why they have the best fans. Up the Irons!
I am so jealous of you mate. I remember being a kid at the time. Rock in Rio was my first album that I ever bought with my own money. I remember being completely enchanted with the holographic plastic cover and bought it straight away. My most listened to album of all time, no contest.
I was at that concert. Rio de Janeiro, January 19, 2001. The cast of the day on the main stage had, among other bands, Sepultura, Queens of the Stone Age, Rob Halford and Iron Maiden closing the night. One of the most memorable concerts I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Maiden will tour the United States this year. July and August. If you can, do not miss a chance. Congratulations on your channel
Thnks again for more maiden. Have fun at the maiden concert.they will be in Calgary in august so I hope I can go if I can afford it. The more you listen to them the more you get addicted. My day is not complete without listening to at least one maiden song.
This is a great one! And it is on the set list for this summer's tour. Someone mentioned Sign of the Cross from this same concert and I 2nd that as it is awesome and on the set list as well. I just scrolled through a bunch of comments and see requests for several songs from the Rio 01 show. I think you two should do a concert reaction of this!! I know I would love to react to you reacting.
Soy fan de maiden. Desde que tengo 14 años y ahora tengo 47, os tengo que dar las gracias por vuestra reacción me habéis echo llorar de felicidad. Gracias
As a Scotsman it's extra special singing out "freedom" when I've seen them play this live. Great song that originally went unnoticed by me on a non Bruce album.
I love both versions Death On The Road Tour and En Vivo version alot. The Death On The Road version is more theater involved, but the En Vivo version the crowd is more intense. The South American crowd is the greatest when it comes to Heavy Metal concerts. They always make shows better by their intensity.
Rich-n-Kel,Don’t know if you knew this but Nicko McBrain, the drummer of Maiden has a restaurant in Hollywood Florida called Rock n Roll Ribs. You should check it out sometime and shoot a video there for all of us Maiden fans.
Not bad for six blokes who are now in their early sixties! I've been an Maiden fan since I was 11 or so - 1980. They never disappoint and seeing them live is significantly better than seeing a recording of a live show.
Kel cracks me up in such a good way. Love the reactions. I'm 63 and your never too old or too late to experience some of the greatest music of out time. PEACE!
Hi Kel-n-Rich. Loads of thanks for another fantastic react video. Iron Maiden's "Rock in Rio" was live on 19.01.2001 (a day after my birthday that year). It is awesome...truly awesome...to see your journey together into metal and the fact that you are experiencing new bands / hearing new versions + interpretations / new songs from bands you already heard of. Plus, the sheer joy that you have for the music and for each other (of course) is tangible and really comes across in your videos. Your channel is always the first one I check when I fire up youtube. Your connection, happiness, empathy and unbridled love of the music and skills and passions/emotions are infectious and amazing. Your videos are a real joy to see and long may they continue. [el'sda2].
My dad loved them so I've been a maiden head as long as I can remember. I'm listening to your video in my office right now and I can hear my 9 year old son playing Powerslave up in his room. inter-generational metal power bringing our family together for 30 years. you'll see it as you enter the concert. Dads with their sons, mothers taking their daughters, Grandpa and Billy, little kids to old grey rockers,.... I cant think of any other band whose fan...(Family) base is so diverse. Up the Irons!!!!!!
Hello from Scotland 🏴 when Maiden play that here, the place goes mental 😂 Shame they don't come here very often now, I've been lucky enough to have seen them live 11 times. Blaze Bayley was the singer of this song when it was written and recorded, he's very underrated I'm off to see him in Glasgow on the 10/4/19 \m/ for my 6th time seeing him.
Great reaction to a great song. When people ask me my favorite Maiden songs I often say , Number of the beast , wickerman, run to the hills or when the wild wind blows but then the Clansman comes on and I'm like This is fucken it man!!!! Up the Irons!
there are a lot of truly great epic bands from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's ... truly could name quite a few of them, but in my opinion none of them were as well rounded as Iron Maiden. They did everything great Iron Maiden wrote such fantastic songs...all round fantastic. The music portion is always great but the songs have great stories to them as well. And their live performances are truly hard to beat. Iron Maiden were the master performers and entertainers and you could tell they loved what they did and they did it very well indeed!
Supertramp tomorrow.... ooooohh I know what you're going to listen to....😉 Maiden are so amazing, I saw them twice now. I absolutely love them. And seeing Bruce running up and down on the stage and still be able to sing like that is unbelievable. It's always fun to listen to you guys, Thank you.
Hi Todd! Thank you so much and let us know if there’s any thing in particular you’re liking about what we are doing and sharing. Have a super night. Rich
@@Kel.N.RichReactions Love all your reactions but your Iron Maiden Reactions are awesome!!! Check out a song called "Mother Russia" You and Kel will absolutely love it. Love that you love maiden. I was a little late too. I became a fan from this live album in fact. In 01/02. This was first album I bought then I bought 2000's brave new world.
I live in SoCal and my daughters and I saw Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast 2022 World Tour. They are so full of energy and their show is fucking wild!!! If I had to pick a favorite song from that night, The Clansman and Flight of Icarus would be the top ones. One hell of a live band. You have to see them at least once.
Hi Rich and Kel! it is 100% cool to witness your individual and combined journeys into the world of rock and metal. It's amazing to see your first reactions. In particular, your first joint reaction to "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche was fantastic to see: Rich = The look on your face was "I'm really into the song" and how you were remembering it and showing your genuine feelings. It was like you knew all along Kel would love it too and I can only imagine how great it was to 100% sharing in that epiphany of Kel's "Yeah, I really get this song!". Kel = It was stunning to see how much you connected with the lyrics and tunes and the message of the song. I had that exact same reaction when I first heard the orchestration come in on "I will be watching over you..." and I still do each and every time to this day, 20+ years later. I hope you both have this reaction to everything you hear. I don't think this could ever happen to you guys (because you are both so in tune with each other and supportive of each other and strong together) but please, please, please never lose that unbridled joy of listening to new music, exploring new horizons together and of appreciating the world. It's truly lovely to see how genuine and connected you are to each other and also to the music. Long may it continue! [el'sda2].
Esse foi o meu primeiro show do Iron, foda demais, um dia memorável. Nossas vozes estão naquele DVD =] It was my first Iron Maiden show, one of the best days of my life.
EPIC! ... in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina comes the real Iron Maiden with really unforgettable shows I think Latin America is the best metal audience !!!!!....

#metalchickpick. The sign of the cross from the same show. Awesome display of musicianship, but aren’t they are?
OH HELL YEAH!
React to Iron Maiden Dance of Death - Live Death on the road!!!
the En Vivo version is better imo
En vivo! Version is better
Death on the road version is my favorite version
Death on the road was more theatrical.
I love both versions Death On The Road Tour and En Vivo version alot. The Death On The Road version is more theater involved, but the En Vivo version the crowd is more intense.
