45 years flooding the stages of energy, power, heart, emotion, music.... the best band ever!!!
No argument from me
These guys are driven there's no doubt about it. Their shows are spectacular. Second to none.
A band that has cemented their legacy without help from radio or videos. Just pure live performances, adrenaline, and superb talent and technical skills. Hard to beat Maiden. My very first and forever favorite band
I WAS THERE, THE BEST DAY IN MY LIFE. sea of people, 200000 people in this day
Lucky bastard
são 250000 fãs.
@@rocosam4910 Correct!
So was I. The only time I've seen them out of the United States. Damn awesome show. Crowd was INSANE!! Up the Irons my Maiden brother. 🤘🤘
Didn't Rob Halford play earlier that day or was that the day before? My memory is kinda foggy about most of that day, if you know what I mean. Was the best music festival I've been to.
His face is just awesome. Stuck in the song. AWESOME.
Bruce Dickinson is the greatest living frontman.🤘🇦🇺
Absolutely unmatched by anyone ever.
I don’t see any argument on the contrary 🤘🏻
@@andrewforrest9980😂
As a Scotsman who has seen Iron Maiden and been a fan since he was young I came across this and thought it was amazing it’s one of their lesser known songs yet ironically one of my favourites much love from Scotland 🤘🏴
Not to mention, Bruce is not just an amazing singer. He is
A historian
A writer (films and novels)
A producer
An Olympic level sword fencer
A commercial airline pilot (hes flown for several major airlines, as well as flying his own fans to gigs with Ed Force One)
A bi-wing propeller plane pilot who performs in airshows. And even took part in a mock dogfight above the crowd just before one of his shows.
A cancer survivor...
His autobiography is one helluva read...
Don't forget he flies the band from gig to gig too.
@@Phallica-js7ht I think i posted that on a separate one :)
Tank driver too I remember seeing him on the military channel back in the day.
Don't forget in the aviation business and gives speeches does a tour podcaster
How can anybody not love these guys
Unbelievable performance. All of them 40+ at this concert
The best metal band on the planet bar non. Best in mind they are in their 40s on this performance as well
Older than that, by a fair amount. Mid 50s
@@MichaelRCarlson he meant that they are in their 40s in this video
@@MichaelRCarlson They're all over 60 now.
Yea I was watching like, wow Bruce jumps around pretty flexible as a 60+ year old dude, then realised this is from 2001 ;)
As I said in their 40s during this performance. It was nearly 20 years ago so in the 60s now for sure
Maiden are unbeatable live, eveyone gives 200%, there is so much energy on stage. But equally important is they have so much fun and this makes the audience feel extra special. It would be great if you reacted to The Red and The Black live or the song Iron Maiden live from En Vivo
The first band I ever saw live in 1982, Kalamazoo MI. Iron Maiden opened for Judas Priest. What a show! I took my son for his birthday on the Book of Souls tour in Chicago a few years ago...they still are the best rock show even decades later.
This is best example of what a maiden concert is: energy and crowd singing 👏🤘👍
That drummer is Mr Nicko McBrain, and is, in my honest opinion, one of the best and most technical drummers out there, he only uses a single bass peddle and yet he can double and even triple tap as fast as someone with a second bass peddle, he is amazing, as is the entire band, my all time favourite! Up The Irons 🤘
Thanks for the reaction , loved it! Travis had the same look on his face that I did when I first discovered Maiden back in 1982 .. You have been Maidenized! 😉
MY GENERATION. Grew up in the 70's and 80's. LOVED LOVED LOVED this band from the 1st second I bought their FIRST record and never looked back. I'm 55 years old now and STILL love LOVE LOVE Iron Maiden till my death and beyond.
Dance of Death is another good one, theres a version live from dortmund germany thats pretty solid.
Iron Maiden does a fantastic job telling a story with their music.
I agree, Death on the road versión it's more theatrical and dramatic than "En Vivo" versión.
One great thing about Maiden live is that their vibe is so positive, immersive and inclusive. Great songwriting and musicianship are there, ss well. They don't lose their audience by playing over your head and boring you with sustere technique, (Dream Theatre, I'm looking at YOU.)
This is what Iron Maiden is all about, love to play music and love from them play to all of us!!!
A truly great and energetic performance by one of the all time great metal bands. These guys have been at this level live for many decades.
Started listening to them around 1983 when i was 10. Two years later my brother took me to see the World Slavery Tuor and it's still one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Check out some songs off of Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, and Seventh Son.
me to 10 yrs old 83
Unfortunately I missed out on the 80s, but their recent Legacy of the Beast Tour I got to see and it was spectacular. It was my 4th time seeing them but by far my favorite. Incredible performers.
I’m so jealous! I’m seeing Legacy of the Beast 2021 and I simply cannot wait to be officially apart of the Maiden extended family. (Get it? If you don’t, it’s at the end of the little note in the cover of Somewhere back in Time)
I'm glad you did a reaction to this song. I'm a life long Maiden fan but didn't have the appreciation for this song that I should have. This was an amazing performance.
Iron maiden ..great energy..beautiful music..beautiful guys..beautiful hairs..!!
Amazing performance and amazing reaction! Iron Maiden has been my Favorite band since I remember... And I hope you Guys keep reacting to this amazing band! New sub
thank you!!
This is one of the greatest reactions of all time, because it is real and sincere. Bless you both.
Still killing it in their 60s too, Gods of rock 🤘
After being a fan since 1982, I'll say this - other than sex, nothing is more fun than an Iron Maiden concert. So glad you appreciate the performances. This particular concert, Rock In Rio, is one of the very best live performances ever, and is my all time favorite live recording. And yes, the Clansman is awesome. Enjoyed your reaction. New sub here.
How about sex at an Iron Maiden concert? 😋
@@andrewlaw Thats called Heaven...🤣
Any live video from Maiden is a winner... They always sound better than on record
If you are wondering about how athletic Bruce is, he was once an Olympic class fencer. I believe he still fences today as a hobby.
Been my number one band since 1984. The older they get the better they get.🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
These guys bring it to the max in their shows. I saw them in Anaheim on the 21 of Sept. All I can say is "WOW!!"
You got to love their Energy. Don't forget that Mr. Dickinson isn't just a phenomenal Singer and performer, he is a licensed Airliner Pilot and flies the Bands Charter Plane (747-400) Ed Force One during the World Tours
“like a ninja at that stage”. the best description of Bruce i’ve ever heard! 👏🏼🙌🏼🔥. nice reaction 👊🏼
Hi just subbed to your ch.. Iron Maiden ROCKS!!! Love your reaction and I love your voice .. I am 50 years old and was raised up on this music THE WOLF HUNTERS YOU ROCK AS WELL!! 😎🎤🎸
Check out Flight of Icarus from their Legacy of the Beast tour in 2019. Bruce (lead singer) using 2 hand held flame throwers. They still rock as hard as ever into their 60's and have just as much fun. Front row for one of their shows is an incredible experience
great reaction, great great song from the goat keep the iron Maiden reactions coming👏🔥💯👍
I was at a show here in LA, during the Dance of Death tour I think. Bruce slipped from the runways he has above the drums and fell right on Nicko's set. He was down for a bit. He finished the set... and played the gig thr next day. These guys are now in their 60s and their energy has hardly waned.
That's what music is supposed to do, make you happy
Bruce is a stageninja , jumping around at his age . I am 43yo i I could not do this .
He is a hero of my youth 🤘
Love Iron Maiden
Love you WolfhunterZ
I can't wait for the next one, we Brazilians are proud to be a place where they love to be!
The Blaze Bailey years produced two good songs, 'Sign of The Cross' and 'The Clansman'. Both of which Bruce absolutely crushed in this concert.
It's really hard to admit that it was about 20 years ago. I don't want to think that I'm so old.
This is the live performance that got my Dad into metal after many attempts, helped as a gateway into something we have shared for many years since as I've showed him more and more metal
Hello ..! Yes Iron maiden si great !!
I dont believe he has ever fallen agility must be through the roof thanks 😊 for great videos you keep putting out wolf hunterz
You are kind of right, they are not just choreographed. From one show to the next, Bruce moves in similar ways for every song, but that seems more natural and he often will do something new and fun. There are only a few areas where they have it planned, especially when it comes to eddie (mascot) and things that relate to the lyrics of the songs. One amazing performance if The Book of Souls from the tour of that album. That is FUN. The stuff they do on stage with Hallowed be thy name is also great.
I am 100% fanatic, and had the pleasure of attending to 3 concerts in a row on the same tour, so it's fun to observe the changes.
Bruce Dickinson is world class ! He's a top ranked fencer , a pilot for British Airlines. And constantly works out for him to be in shape for tour. And not to mention he flies his band around the world in their own 747jet liner. And he's in his 60's
They are training to stay in shape before every tour. It's that simple🤘
They give the same energy for 500 people as they do for 500,000. My all-time favorite band- LOVE THEM!
Iron maidon are like the finest tuned v8 engine you could ever want, your faces with joy all over them is great reaction and follow your dreams
Nobody puts on a show like these guys!
That was just a song. Imagine the entire concert. Rock in Rio 2001 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
And lets not forget kids, these guys are NOT 20 something!!!
true
@@TheWolfHunterZ Most of the members are in their early 60's except Nicko McBrain, drummer is 68.

Rock in Rio was recorded almost twenty years ago, so they weren't that old
Born in 73, it's just 30 years of love for this band for me, when you go to watch them live you get the show you paid for.
Saw them in Toronto last year - in their sixties and still bringing the energy.
Hard to believe these guys are in their 60s. The youngest being Bruce Dickinson the Singer. Saw them again in 2015 at The palace Of Auburn Hills in where the Pistons play. I flew my son into Detroit and I drove into Detroit from Baltimore. It was worth it. Awesome show. Book Of Souls Tour. Got pictures of Ed Force One. They are still touring today.
i love it when she says *these guys are wild!* it's beautiful
Bruce Dickinson (vocalist) is also writer, fencer and Pilot.
And cancer survivor.
And radio host
And TV presenter.
And trainspotter👍🏻
And has been conferred honorary doctorate of philosophy (Helsinki University) and music (Queen Mary College)
The drummer only uses a single bass peddle refused to use a double they are NUTZ AND I LOVE IT
Very fun to watch people discover Iron Maiden!
best live band on the planet period. i have seen them here in the Uk 32 times to date. they get better with age there is no other band on this earth with that many world class musicians in one band everyone of them is the best at what they do
welcome to a maiden concert Written by bassist and band leader Steve Harris, the piece of music initially had a Celtic flavour to it. When he saw the 1995 movie Braveheart about the Scottish knight William Wallace, starring and directed by Mel Gibson, the song instantly got a theme and a direction.
You need to watch more.
40 years and still thumping it out
He does that in almost every live performance even to this day. Very talented.
Bruce Dickinson the singer is a pilot. Their pilot. When on tour, he flies the plane. Btw I love your guy's face expression for example when he is in loading screen/pause mode and you have ear to ear smile. You guys seem cool and kind. All the best from Serbia.
You're right if you want to have an Iron Maiden t-shirt. I have several of them and I love this band for about 40 years. They are just great! Up the Irons! Love ya, Bertram
Iron Maiden - 16 studio albums and more than150 original songs . Everebody will remind this band for the good reason , they're music !! Amazing performance !! Try '' The red and the black ''
i remember recorded this show on vhs tapes watching it live on direct tv back 20 years ago on a friday night, epic!!!!!!
I totally agree when you say they've mastered their craft
If you search for Wrathchild performed live at Donnington 07 Bruce goes to jump on a monitor and slips over. It had been raining that day and he falls flat on his arse. Carries on singing though!
Also, you should react to Phantom of the Opera live at Ullevi 2005.
@Richard Frye I must admit I prefer the Rock Am Ring show from the same tour overall but the Phantom performance from Ullevi is amazing.
Ahahaha I just went and watched that! Dickinson actually bounced back *while singing* ... what a legend, that dude.
biggest compliment to a metal band *these guys are wild!*
An Iron Maiden concert is truly an experience to behold. There's no one like them. Simply one of the greatest bands ever formed.
Iron Maiden - Phantom Of The Opera 🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶
Seen them 18 times....Iron Fucking Maiden is the best live band EVER!
Now you've already done Hallowed Be Thy Name live '82, you should do this song (their best song I think...) live from this concert, Rock In Rio, just to compare because it is just...unbelievable....trust me! Cheers from France!
Bruce Dickinson is the human Duracel bunny, and known as the Air raid siren... Live they are absolutey the best ever! I have seen them 6 or 7 times and I've never been disappointed. From 1985 to 2009 they only got better with age :-) You have so many brilliant songs to look into if you're up for it. Look for anything from Flight 666, good quality live, or go for songs like Montsegur, Paschendale, Powerslave, 22 Akacia Ave...god, you have 40 years of material.
It's actually the Energizer Bunny. Different company but we get it. Just don't want the Energizer fan bois seeing this and try to cancel ya. ; p
@@alexojeda9048 thanks. In Sweden i think it's what I said, so..
The greatest storytellers in music history... And best metal band on earth!
this song ALWAYS give me goosebumps
They have 3 genius guitarist:)
Best. Live .Band .Ever.
First song I heard from them was Run to the hills,Been a fan since then. Never heard a bad song from rhem.
Except run to the hills
11:38 this band is D performance. Same concert "The Sign of the Cross" One of the best songs from this show in my opinion
Iron Maiden - the red and the black Live Chapter This song is from 2015 please see the ability to create 35 years later it is incredible
What Paolo says is true. Also the book of souls live is epic too, so you might as well react to both, please, pretty please, pretty please with Eddies on top.
First albums I ever bought at age 12, Iron Maiden Number of the Beast & Deep Purple Deepest Purple. I'm now 51 and they're still going. True rock legends.
Hello from Germany !
Nice video and nice to see that I M brings so much fun to the people ! :)
I love maiden and this live version very much.
Maiden songs give so much ...
to learn something ...something theatrical, something to think about
or just to have fun and surely 110 % from there heart to all there fans in the world!!!
so much to say about this cool guys ...
I think Rock in Rio 2001 ...is there best live performance.
such as death on the road tour or the flight 666 and the en vivo tour!
Ok i hope this Iron Maiden journey for you guy has just begun and will go on.
They have so much storys to tell ...have fun ...i will be there and watch your videos ;) !!!
Up the Irons !!!
thank you!! so many people enjoying this one. I did!
6:10 Bruce didn't fall on his face (but instead he was hurted by a guitar neck during Rock in Rio 1985, during Revelations... he sang with his forehead bleeding), but Janick Gers did fall off the stage during that tour. It happened in Munich or Berlin, IIRC.
This album, and this Live recording in Rio brings me back to my teenage years. I was not at the consert, but man. That crowd is so well recorded, the atmosphere must have been ELECTRIFYING! Hearing this , I'm a kid again. Hanging out in my friends room with the massive Brave New World Flag on the wall... Good memories.
The suppression was so complete, that the best places to find the OLD traditional music and songs are in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. In little towns where families have been for two hundred or more years. In these places, parents would put the fiddle or pipes in their kids' hands and transfer the knowledge of the music by ear. It wasn't written down.
If you want to learn the old Gaelic language, the original Scottish, you have to go to the University of Antigonish in Cape Breton.
The hardest part to swallow? We were betrayed by our own oath sworn lords.
“I need an Iron Maiden T shirt now” best line yet! My son and I got two for 20 in Brooklyn right before legacy of the beast show 2019. We know exactly what you’re feeling.
UP THE IRON'S!!!thank you guys so much, you made my day!!!!love from Greece!!!
alright Greece!!
Us greeks loooove Iron Maiden! 🤘
It’s so much fun watching you two react. Maiden has been my favorite band for some years now and their entire catalog is epic. Fear of the Dark is my favorite of them all. There’s a killer live performance from Stockholm that you’d enjoy. Keep up the great work!
Great reaction great band and great loyal maiden fans, fan since 1980.
I don't know how old you are, I'm 45 years old ... In '86 a neighbor made me listen to "Killers" ... and from then on, it was impossible not to become a fan ... I was lucky to be able to go to all his concerts in Argentina, except his last visit ... The best band ... without a doubt ....
PD: Welcome to the Maiden family..!!!
Up The Irons..!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I saw a live concert footage of them back in the 80's and Bruce Dickinson use to carry the guitar players on his shoulders when doing solo's, Bruce had either Adrian smith or Dave Murray on his shoulder and was running around and tripped over cords or something and literally went flying into the back drop, the band kept performing but saw what happened and were laughing. It was hilarious, thought I'd mention this since you guy's wondered if anyone's ever bit it.
You make me love Iron Maiden more, and I've been a fan for over 30 years. Excellent reaction!
That’s why thy are still going, so many more to watch
if you don't have fun with this song you're devoid of life! it's magic
I have been a Maiden fan since middle school and i am 54 years old. I have seen them live twice and the energy is always there. To see Iron Maiden live is a real treat my favorite band ever. They always tell a story !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UP THE IRONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steve Harris started putting the band together in 1972 but 1975 is the official date.
what you need to watch is the way he ran down them stairs like they were not even there!! pay attention to that i can't do that! it's awesome!
Seen them 18 times or so going back to 1981. Saw them in 2018 from the floor of the O2 in London, about 25 feet away. Last night of the tour. Figured they'd be about spent by then. What I saw quality-wise, especially from the singer Bruce, was really stunning for 6 guys in their 60s. It was so frigging good I start wondering if they were piping in sound or something, which of course they weren't. The best Maiden show of the 18 I've seen. And it doesn't matter if it's marquee venues like O2 or MSG, or the arena in Buffalo, you can't tell the difference performance-wise. 110% every show, every tour.
Been fortunate enough back in the day to see shows from Boston, Nugent, Cheap Trick, Styx, Sabbath, Dio, Rush, Ozzy, BOC, Kansas, Tull, Hatchet, Who, original Van Halen, Metallica, the list goes on and on. None have compared to a Maiden show, not even close. The energy, quality and consistency just doesn't compare. Kudos to Steve Harris from Maiden for establishing this culture back before the band even had a record deal. Amazing man.
If you want to see something really special from Maiden, check out The Talisman from the En Vivo DVD. Written by the 3rd guitarist and 6th member of the band who lots of Maiden fans like to bang on for reasons I'll never understand.
I saw them last week in Anaheim for the Legacy of The Beast World Tour 2022. Damn, they put on one hell of a show. So much energy and talent. Definitely a better live band than recorded.
Deus do céu esse Rock in Rio ficou na história performance animal do iron Maiden 🎸
