this is VERY good however i couldn't stop laughing after kel's super-imposed face showed up because it looks like hes inches away from phoenix's face and being completely normal about it which, is entirely in character for both phoenix and kel huh
I mean it's shown that Sunny's still under trauma so it's possible for him to just not remember stuff as Phoniex said," he forgot even the death of his sister".
Love how this trial absolutely slams Sunny's parents LMFAO. There were so many things in the game that really hinted that they were pretty shitty. Feels bad he had to end up moving, but I like to think they all kept in touch.
I think they were decent parents before the accident, but after Mari’s death they became mentally broken. Sunny’s dad had a mental break, refused to look at him as his son (or at least Sunny interpreted his behavior as that), and most likely moved out or divorced his wife. His mom is probably in the denial phase where she’s trying to be extremely positive and forget about the accident, given how eager she was to “start a new life” and how much she avoids coming home once she left. I mean she actually left a depressed 15yr old who needs to be reminded to brush their teeth with sticky notes by themselves with no power for 3 days? She cares for Sunny as best as she can, with all the little notes she leaves, but she doesn’t have the willpower to truly help or understand him.
@@hahachickem8675 I second this woah. Basically, she has good intentions, but but she doesn't want to act on them since she's also not at a good place mentally.

I CANT HELP IT BUT BURST INTO LAUGHTER EVERYTIME HE GETS INTERRUPTED BY SUNNY'S FRIENDS THEYRE SO CLOSE TO THE SCREEN AND THEY JUST APPEAR,,, also very good video its underrated
I'd have used full body images but they lack expressions and are hard to make transparent, also couldn't find a way so they aren't zoomed in Kinda glad it turned out funny though Glad you enjoyed it!
Wright: I'll make sure you'll get the most lenient punishment possible! Edgeworth: I'll make sure he'll get the fairest sentence. Judge: Defendant, you must be gentle in speaking with him! This is the most wholesome court, I love the whole vid. Thanks for the hard work in making this!
A few details I really liked about this: Sunny not wanting to get Basil punished for what he did and not wanting to paint Mari in a bad light for getting angry at him is pretty in character for him and just show how much he cares about his friends. Kel, Aubrey, and Hero not only forgiving Sunny and Basil for what happened but also helping him In court and seeing the trial through just shows how much THEY care about Sunny. (Also Hero being the one to hire Phoenix in the first place is a great detail) Trucy expressing her gratefulness to Phoenix for taking her in and raising her. It’s a sort interaction but incredibly sweet! Edgeworth sympathizing with Sunny about his situation since he went through a similar one in his past and working with Phoenix to reduce his sentence, they were both trying to help Sunny in their own ways and I think that’s great! And at the end Phoenix offering to help the gang contact Mari with help from Maya to give them the closure they need is awesome and kinda makes me want a follow up video where we see them doing that. This was a just a cool experience all around, watching these characters interact, and I can tell you put a lot of hard work into it. Awesome job, dude!
I'm sorry, but this serious intro and dialogue with Trucy shown from knee up interrupted by Kel's portrait right in Phoenix's face slowly fading in was beautiful
It makes sense on universe too. Phoenix is just overall nice, the judge is normaly very emocional mature in a weird way and Eddgyworth has similar experiences with repression and abuse so he would understand Sunny. It's actually the perfect combo for our baby
The inaccuracy annoys me. Sunny's mother didn't neglect him at all. There is no information in game about Sunny's mother's neglect, Sunny is likely small because he himself didn't treat his nutrition as well as he should have. And the empty fridge with only one steak? That's because they were moving away, not because that's how the fridge is usually. And the game takes place in the 90s, when therapy was expensive and not many people could get it, therapy only became accessible after Obama's presidency.
@@yummydragon8533Then why did she leave him with no power? I get the no power part, but did she seriously have to leave him? Couldn't she have called him to come watch her move? Or something?
I’m a predoctoral student studying the juvenile justice system and I actually think this result is feasible since the mitigating factors are so strong against the aggravating factors! This was done wonderfully. Thank you for giving me the satisfaction.
Thank you! I'm not very well versed in actual law, so I tried my best with my extremly limited knowledge, I didn't use the exact system they use in the ace attorney series because Sunny wouldn't have gotten this much of a lenient sentence.
@@Crimson_Carnival As a fan of Ace Attorney, you did brought up the point that a small child couldn't have lifted his older sister in order to make it look like she was hanged. Unfortunately, the writers at Capcom seemed to have missed that part while writing Turnabout Serenade.
@@michaelgum97 tbh the court was sleeping that day, how tf would Machi be able to shoot the gun when it even injured daryan lmao. I liked turnabout serenade (mostly because I really liked lamiroire) but some stuff was a bit weak.
@@chuchu9649 They don’t! A lot of research really is pointing to children not belonging in prison at all, which leads to policy reform. The purpose of juvenile court, if they get sent to detention, is to rehabilitate rather than serve a punitive sentence. Traumatized children especially don’t belong in prison
Also, i know this is kinda weird to say, but i really love how, despite the game Sunny comes from, there isn't any horror aspect in this. Like, i half expected Sunny to just go full shocked when remembering Mari's Corpse in his dreams and needing a recess, but no, this is full reality, the nightmare is over, no more *Somethings* , no more Phobias..
Like what went down in the good ending, he has finally overcome the fears that have held him down for four years. Once you conquer the root of your fears, what is there left to be afraid of?
I'd probably still like to see Omori's expression change to fear or have him hesitate a bit more when trying to remember what happened on that faithful day ^^
Don’t forget, this video comes from an outside perspective, we are currently looking through the eyes of Phoenix Wright. Everything is viewed at a logical standpoint.
"Huh, I wonder what would Sunny's verdict would be?" >Sunny's mom will be trialed for child abuse "Hol up. I gotta watch this from the very beginning now."
@@dustpanman2998 it's hard to say tbh, again the best thing about omori is the fact that most of the stuff can be interpreted whatever the player believe, so each person will have it's own idea of it. The game only gives little hints about sunny parent, on the surface they seems like a really bad parents but again other might argue that their parents after the incident are also mentally broken like sunny and worse thing will happen when all of the family member mental health is broken/unstable, that's why its vague since like i said earlier, the game tell you and at the same time didn't either
I love how Edgeworth wanted sunny to be saved, because keep in mind, Edgeworth when he was a child went to a similar trauma like sunny but ofc he didn't killed his dad but he believed he did. So yeah, i love the detail of Edgeworth being not so aggressive on sunny.
And he also understandably went full parent mode when they revealed the possibility that Sunny was malnourished, between requesting the health examination, demanding the results, and going understandably off the rails when finding out the kid was in such bad shape due to the lack of proper food in his house.
It was already sweet of him that he decides to prosecute this juvenile murder case instead of his regular high-profile homicide case. He could've just let someone like Payne to do the job. But he decides to take it himself anyway.
I've noticed something about Omori: You never see Sunny's mom or dad in Headspace, you only see them on black space, and black space 2. This basically means that Sunny doesn't have really good memories of his fathers, Headspace is where all good and neutral thoughts, ideas, memories, and feelings are, yet we never see Sunny's parents manifest in them, this could be from abuse, to neglect, and it could have started before the accident, or after, but if it was after the accident, shouldn't Sunny still have good memories?, like how HeadSpace kept the memory of Basil for a while even if it remembered Sunny of Trauma, maybe the memory of his parents was erased just like how Basil was erased in the game. Who knows...
I don't think she was abusive ( or at the least) prior, cause Mari and Hero would have noticed. But she was likely very neglectful in the past couple years before the incident, and left Mari to care for both of them. After Mari passed, she no longer knew what to do, all while still suffering her own grief. So her parenting didn't really change from then and since he reclused himself, Sunny's friends wouldn't have known that the living situation didn't change. It's also possible that Sunny's mother was NEVER around and his dad was left to it, but he wasn't exactly an engaging parent. At least not with Sunny. If that is true, and Mari was his favorite, after he lost her he felt no attachment to his family anymore. That being said, even with the sticky notes and voice-mails it is still quite possible that she did grow abusive over time if she does in fact know the truth. I personally think she does.
@@CeruleanSeal She almost definitely knows the truth, she says "I lost my only daughter... I can't lose my son too," which I at first though implied Sunny potentially attempting suicide, but then I realized, this is said during the truth, and that means she most likely saw Sunny kill Mari, and didn't want to get him in trouble for it because she didn't want to be away from him due to police.
maybe the headspace version of his parents got sent into black space because they reminded him too much of maris death, like what happened to headspace basil
Him making Sunny add that to his testimony, than immediately objecting to it make me laugh for some reason. "Please add that she was calm to your testimony" "She was completely calm-" " *Objection!* "
@@mattdayman461 its because of his personality. If you took any clip of a vine or something with people doing dumb things and put Kel's face in it it looks like something he would actually do
I love how this video targets a very specific demographic, people that are a fan of both Omori and Ace Attorney. Lucky for you, I'm that exact type of person.
Sunny surprisingly has emotion portraits for the real world, but those never really get used because maybe it'd tip the battles too much in the players' favor.
With no exaggeration, this might be one of the best videos I've seen this month. The whole trial feels logic and actually realistic, even by Ace Attorney standards. The characters are perfectly written. The pacing is wonderful and the suspense keeps building up. It's actually so perfectly written that I consider it cannon to the Omori universe, I really do. Much like the other commenters, I loved how everyone was actually civil in this trial and literally united to give Sunny the lightest possible service and make him feel better. Even Edgeworth and the judge kept agreeing with Wright and tried to help Sunny in every way possible. Something I also really loved about the video is Edgeworth saying that the job of the prosecutor is "to not find a guilty verdict, but to determine the lightest sentence possible for the defendant". I don't know, it just warmed my heart knowing that the prosecution is just as beneficial for the defendant as the defense. Despite some occasional freezing of the screen and loss of dialogue, everything was perfect. 10/10 video.
@@shinoataya Nah I've played Omori and I'd react the same way, Sunny needs a hug, not prison. Kid was *12* at the time of the incident and has already suffered enough as is
This was done VERY well and it made Phoenix and Edgeworth seem like actual human beings trying to minimize the sentence as light as possible. Very well done to the creator of this vid I tip my hat to you as a fan of OMORI and the Phoenix Wright series
To me, I'm pretty sure Edgeworth kinda sympathizes and maybe empathizes with Sunny. You arent just that young and have yourself believing you killed a man and it not fuck you up in some capacity. I wish he could have shown ghat same compassion for you know who in Dual Destinies but you know...
Im just here to say this was phenomenal and fits very well into the lore of Omori. I really love the writing and although there was technical issues with the occasional freezing, I still found it enjoyable. I personally loved the reaction of Mr. Edgeworth when he read the health report and the reaction of the entire courtroom as it also made me realize that Sunny's situation is far more severe than first meets the eye. Overall, excellent what-if scenario and collaboration with the ace attorney franchise (I personally never expected both franchises to fit so well with each other). I hope you do well and grow in the future, this is genuinely full of passion and I hope people get the appreciating you deserve.
also the part whwn mari played piano and hero though it was omori glad it doesnt breack any universe rules, and what even edjeworth was on board with phoenix cause he had similiar expireences w sunny
I think the only problem I have with the lore here is that the events of OMORI would have likely taken place sometime around 2000-2004? And I think that in some of the timelines of Ace Attorney the years could stretch as far as 2028 or something like that iirc.
The community service sentence got even funnier when I remembered about Sunny being able to work three part-time jobs a day in the Faraway segments of the canon game. Sadly, the sentence wouldn't be as easy on Mari if she accidentally killed Sunny... Seriously, screw Sunny's parents, though. 24:27 His dialogue seems emotionless, but the boy needs a freaking hug.
Edgeworth: “The defendant is suffering from malnutrition and needs immediate medical care!” Meanwhile Sunny’s friends in the stands: Aubery: *I’M GONNA KILL HER.* Kel and Hero: Aubery! No! Aubery: *AUBERY YES.*
Thats the most dialogues Sunny ever spoken in past 4 years XD.. Btw I think this case in hindsight is a manslaughter because Sunny has no ill will when the accident/ murder is commited.
It would probably be tried as murder at first because of Sunny's actions after Mari's death, but as the case progressed the charge would probably change to negligent/involuntary manslaughter, or possibly voluntary manslaughter if he's unlucky enough.
@@averagehuman522 negligent manslaughter plus him being trialed as a minor sounds like he could get a more lenient charge than if he’s trialed as an adult for murder.
Yeah realistically speaking, Sunny would be better off not confessing to the crime, because if he did, he'd just get jail time for a crime that he could have just chosen not to confess to.
Can we just appreciate how nobody is against sunny in this trial Like the only real issue was the lack of proof on his side but everyone else is human enough to not try to make the situation worse
This was stellar. It felt like reading a comforting post-game fanfic but in a video, with all the character animation and musical atmosphere. And I just- felt bad for Sunny a lot. You did your research on Omori, I'll say that- because until this video, it did *not* click for me how his mother neglected him. Even if she was handling the loss of Mari poorly, she should not have abandoned Sunny like that. She said she lost Mari, and couldn't bear to lose Sunny too, and yet she has done just that. Also- Mari channeling video when? I'd love to see the gang talk to Mari one last time. I believe from her interactions with Omori in Headspace, where she breaks character and actually talks to him as Sunny, she's truly talking to him as her spirit self. So maybe her responses could be based off of the kindness and understanding she shows him there? * _cries in this video provided a lot of closure_ * You did well, thank you for making this ノ;_;ノ 🧡❤️✨
actually, Sunny's mother didn't neglect him at all. There is no information in game about Sunny's mother's neglect, Sunny is likely small because he *himself* didn't treat his nutrition as well as he should have. So, it's ironic you say that he "did his research on Omori"
@@yummydragon8533 well we don’t know for exact certainty. There’s not much information said regarding Sunny’s mom or dad so the sources are limited and what we do get is sometimes up to interpretation. For instance the memory of his father. That was either his father telling OMORI that he was not his son, or this was a memory of sunny being disowned by his dad and that his dad found out the truth. Again it’s hard to say for certainty since both parents have limited information so it’s ultimately up to interpretation. But there were hints in the game of the possibility that Sunny’s mother’s definition of caring for her son was twisted. There’s a statue of his mom in the game where if you go behind it it becomes warped and twisted meaning either she was surprising her pain or her views as a parents were warped and resulted in some kind of neglect. Or it could be both. Again it’s up to interpretation based on limited info.
Ok side note unless Hero was hallucinating the sounds of the piano Mari's ghost then would have been actually playing the piano. I'm sure there are other things but still
The mothers depressed tooo give her a break. Losing mari and knowing that your son was tge one did it and having to help him cover it up is just depresssing and numbing. And also,is no one going to talk about hiw the father just straight up laft and disowned him? At lest the mother still tried to stay and take care of him mea while the father is completely absent. So much so tgat mother is even working, on her own then the moving apartment, then taking care of a depressed kid that had accidentally murdered your own daughter and havibg to bear that as well. Jeez. Id say shes strong for taking care of him, ns at least not down right disown him like his father did. Mother is cool. Seriously.

More court cases should be like this. Instead of two fighting sides, they should be working together to find proof and unveil the truth, with one side being the opposition to ensure nothing is missed and remind the judge and jury of evidence.
This court scene is just a sunny therapy session and im all for it😭 Edit : omg im so happy that sunny got adopted by hero and kels family bc in the game ending he moves to the city with his mom😭 seeing the ENTIRE court want to kill her was so funny LMAO this was rly wholesome thx
The way Wright and Edgeworth went back and forth in the last trial about the Violin and Sunny being scared of Mari while Sunny's just over there watching them argue about it knowing what really happened kinda made me laugh
I actually think of this being cannon to the Omori game. It just fits so perfectly, and I don't see any other possible way for it playing out. Sunny would turn himself in and his friends would help him through it, even getting a lawyer like Phoenix Wright. Who else agrees with this being cannon?
@@Selena19973 just add sunny and basil to the mix and also trucy staring in concern and it's perfect . I'd draw it but I have like no art skills at all lol
I had never thought about Sunny potentially suffering from neglect. I just assumed that the last 3 days were an exception due to the preparation for the move and that he simply couldn't eat the steak due to overwhelming guilt. If it's actually a cannon part of the story that could mean the last real interaction he's had with people was the murder of his sister. I do think that the way his mother is painted here is a bit off though, in the game her dialogue makes her seem sweet, but woefully inept at understanding the mental state her son is in. After the death of Mari, Sunny's mom says "My only daughter... is gone. And you... You are my only son, I can't... lose you as well." In this trial she's just a terrible and unloving mother.
He’s isolated himself in his room aka “whitespace” for over 4 years, and the mother wasn’t at home most of the time, stacked dishes everywhere, he couldn’t take a bath, let alone therapy or at least emotional support is never mentioned in the game alone. If we’re theoretically speaking she wasn’t usually there at the house because of this tragedy. And for Sunny’s case he had his own headspace where he had these purified versions of his family, friends, and people around the world. So it’s highly possible that Sunny might’ve had some type of vision for his Mother to be a sweet and loving mother, but due to her grief and how tragic this was she couldn’t. And she ended up having some type of disorder that further plummets her down leading to her neglect of Sunny thinking he would’ve actually taken care of himself instead of embracing the hurt that was brought to both of them. Speaking of which there was barely if not none of any nutrients in the refrigerator besides expired steak. And in the game it is implied he hasn’t come out of the door even when Kel tried to knock on it after so many years. So yes, the mother is neglectful, and it’s pretty realistic how angry the court is at first. However, she was understandably in grief over her oldest daughter, but she was the adult in the situation and had the responsibility to emotionally support Sunny and make sure that he was well fed, hydrated, and able to get out of the room if they couldn’t afford therapy or have a psychiatrist talk to him. So in conclusion, Sunny’s mother would’ve been sentenced to prison.
@@fuzzyraids It's two years after I posted this and my opinion on this changed since then. I do think that she has a role to play in Sunny's continued suffering. On top of everything you talk about here, there are in game details like the painting that crosses out every family members face except Mari, implying a level of culpability. The "you' are not my son" quote, implying that Sunny's father simply abandoned his family after finding out. Sunny's parents' actions are worthy of scorn. I don't know if his mother would have been sentenced to prison, but I do think your right she is a part of the reason why Sunny has been stuck reliving his own nightmares for years.
I haven't played Ace Attorney before, just watched some gameplay and memes, but I think this is the most united I've ever seen Wright and Edgeworth be.
Well, he did succeed in making people not believe it was his fault, and his friends believed it for 4 years, so I’d say he did a pretty good job as well.
Correction. I think an autopsy was made, but Sunny was too young at the time to even be considered fit for trial. This is evident with how the game implies that Sunny's father left the family shortly after Mari's death. He isn't mentioned outside of this event where he says "You aren't my son. Why won't this tree fall". While everyone else is led to believe that Mari killed herself, at the very least, his father and his mother knew about it, causing his father to leave in anger, and probs why his mother seems so distant, despite claiming and probably meaning that she loves Sunny. This was kept hidden from Sunny's friends, most likely to protect the already fragile Sunny.
I’d probably go a bit further. I suspect that Sunny’s father was probably in law enforcement. This would go on to explain the successful cover up, his overall rough demeanor from what little hints we get, being seldom present, and his departure (having betrayed his badge at the mother’s request).
That was great. However, there was a bunch of times where the video froze as well as unseeable dialogue. Also, it lacked a bit of grammar, but other than that, it was absolutely WONDERFUL to watch. The video is heavily underrated with how much effort was put into it and I hope to see it grow.
I think the unseeable dialogue was due to the website, it doesn't really like long objections so it kinda gets scuffed unfortunately, English is my 3rd language so that might be why the grammar is slightly lacking (there were some phrases I wanted to change but unfortunately it was already uploaded by the time) Either way thank you for the criticism!
@@Crimson_Carnival 3rd language? I can barely take 2, you must be super dedicated. You speak English better than a lot of people I know, most of which are native English speakers.
This was actually pretty eye opening to realize how Sunny relationship was with his mom. I doubt she actually did stuff like threaten him and wish he died over Mari. But it’s sad to realize that despite how her notes around the house make her seem like she cares for and loves her son, she’s still incredibly neglectful.
This is rly cute, I love all the little details you added to make it clear that this is Dual Destinies-era Phoenix, like AJ's version of the courtroom but with T&T music. Only problem is that Omori takes place in probably the 90s, but with that in mind it's impossible to make it line up even if you had Mia defend Sunny, so ignoring that for the sake of the scenario is understandable
Thank you for the compliment! Also yes I noticed that the time periods didn't really match. The first Phoenix wright game is set in 2016 but it actually fits more into the late 90s since the technology is kind of old (Phoenix and Maya using flip phones) and nothing really modern appeared until dual destinies. We also never really get a set date for omori (I assume it is late 90s because of the technology in far away), faraway is a small town so its not too far fetched they could just have old tech and nothing new ever arrived there. That's why I thought they could both somewhat fit in together. I should have shown it in the video but I thought it was getting too long. Thank you for the criticism!
@@maninhu9837 Laptops were largely available to the regular consumer starting in the mid 90s I think. Also smth that's interesting to note that Sunny has a *computer* and NOT a laptop in his room, and considering that if he had both in his house or something and was moving away he'd/his mom'd leave the laptop out and pack away the bulky computer, it's possible the laptop in white space is something he dreamed up bc he wants it in the real world and just doesn't have it
Now this is what I call good fan fiction. I guess it's strange, but I feel a bigger sense of closure from this, and despite the troubles you had getting this put together, it was still a well worth effort. Great work!
This was amazing! although I do feel that Sunny’s Mum was villanised a bit more that she should be- but I’m glad that it resulted in him staying in faraway with his friends
Man, I completely forgot about Sunny's negligent mother. I just looked up on the studies of malnutrition & how it affects mental health & stunning growth. Not eating well can cause all sorts of problems. Now I'm annoyed at human biology...
For the cold steak and nothing else thing, people keep saying that since sunny is 16 years old, he could just go shopping for food. Butnot everyone knows that just becuase you are a certain age doesn't necessarily mean that you could cook and do things related to food. Sunny is depressed and malnourished and that could affect his ability to do basic tasks. Also I'm not sure how one could survive 4 years without eating. Sunny couldve ate somethings here and there but malnutrition is really weird and even if he did eat somethings it probably didn't do anything much to his overall health.
@@missdemeanor608 THANK YOU I am sick of people defending Sunny's mother, she didn't verbally/physically abuse him, but she did neglect him. She KNEW how bad off he was and decided being gone for 3 days and leaving him a single cold steak would be fine. YEAH SURE LADY.
This was wonderfully made! Not only was this a genius crossover between two of my favourite franchises, it was a very satisfying conclusion for the good ending of Omori. I sincerely hope that this blows up in the fandom, and that maybe it can be remade with better quality in the future! Good job!
I was actually hoping I could make a remaster of this, mostly with full body sprites (I don't really know where I can get some other than Kel's) and better grammar (some mistakes I didn't notice were a bit embarrassing, and I already have a revised script in the making). But I feel like it's a bit too soon. I don't want to feel like I'm milking the concept. Mostly gonna work on a little spin off of this and some other writing projects I've started, for now atleast. Thank you!
^^^^ THis!!! Awesome idea Maybe this could be made into a project of sorts? Like perhaps you could assign a few artists different characters to draw the sprites for? It'd be a really cool project!!!! I'd definitely be interested in something like that
This was amazing! I love how you stayed in character for most of them, and rather than prove Sunny's innocence, it was more on what exactly he should be charged for and what sentence he should get. Despite the glitches, this was pretty much accurate to the game and an interesting setup. While I do agree with another comment that game wise, it wouldn't be as interesting and also agree with their additions, show wise, this would have been amazing to see and I'm now considering it a Canon scenario of the good ending aftermath! I honestly think the only way this could've been made better was if Athena was on the team since I always loved playing her and her work in the psychological aspect of the witnesses and defendants, and I think it would have been awesome to see it in work with Sunny. Plus, if this was around the final trial of the game, she'd also be very sympathetic as also having suffered extreme trauma to the point of locking away those memories completely due to the death of a loved one and been able to assess his past and current mental state. I can understand why you couldn't or didn't, though, although I now very much want to try to draw the Omori protags in the ace attorney style! I love this so much! 🥰
honestly? If anyone were most likely to go to court or get charged with a crime after Omoris good ending; it would be Basil for assault of Sunny with a weapon during their confrontation.
@@aIyssa. Yes indeed, it happens during *SPOILERS:* The Good/Bad Ending route, when you sleepover at Basil's house. When you enter his room, he will initiate a fight with you; The intention likely was to kill you then himself, as a delusional solution to the whole staging death situation. During this fight, he will also stab your eye out. Thus, assault, more likely charged with assault with intent to murder.
I think both of them would be charged though? Both of them ended up in the hospital with tons of bandages. When Sunny went into Basil’s hospital room he was still unconscious. I think knocking Basil out with severe bruises and/or cuts would also give Sunny some assault charges. Edit: it could be argued that Sunny was practicing self-defense, but given how mentally unstable both of them were at the time, it could be hard to argue.
In my head this is cannon, this is the best ending eve, it gives amazing closure, specially how they will say goodbye to Mari. No ending could be better and this video gave peace to how broken this game left me. This filled me with joy.
This was a great fanmade trial! I absolutely enjoyed it. Though I do understand the circumstances regarding the website you made this on, I do think that Athena would make a great addition to the trial - both as lead defense or defense council - since a big part of this trial correlates to Sunny's psychological state. I figured she would catch on his lack of expressions earlier into the trial, contrary to the bottled emotions she senses from him. But I'm really happy with how this turned out!
This was amazing. It was like the perfect epilogue to the game. You even made it so that Omori didn't have to separate from his friends. This is my headcanon after the game ending now.
This was a great video, you were able to put some plot I genuinely never thought of would be as serious as it would be especially when you pointed out the whole sleeping situation It genuinely made me go WHAAAAT?!?! Edit: this unrelated but an random idea of when Phoenix was stating the psychological test results I would have loved to see the reaction of everyone if he would have drawn the fears he saw
I love how caring everyone is for Sunny in this situation. Mentioning that he should leave immediately to be taken care for and everything was super sweet and wholesome
Wow this actually gave alot of closure to OMORI. I found myself tearing up during this. Any chance that you'll do the whole spirt summoning with Maya and Mari?
This is the kind of closure I needed/wanted after playing the game. Just thinking about omori makes me cry and usually depressed, so I hope this will help me find comfort ♡ Thank you for making this!

Kel, Aubrey, and Hero not only forgiving Sunny and Basil for what happened but also helping him In court and seeing the trial through just shows how much THEY care about Sunny.

i swear i love how he just faded into existence
(Fades into existence) *You're the one defending Sunny right.*
I've noticed something about Omori:
You never see Sunny's mom or dad in Headspace, you only see them on black space, and black space 2. Who knows...
school also just appears in black space. Sunny probably suffered a lot during his school days too.
I think him moving away was what caused the repression to start failing and all the memories to come bubbling up to the surface.

@@yummydragon8533 well we don’t know for exact certainty. There’s not much information said regarding Sunny’s mom or dad so the sources are limited and what we do get is sometimes up to interpretation. For instance the memory of his father.
It has Kel.
It *is* canon

I can draw it.
Well, it's not like the characters in this video actually know the full image, even when Sunny told everything...
I don't know if his mother would have been sentenced to prison, but I do think your right she is a part of the reason why Sunny has been stuck reliving his own nightmares for years.

the image of basil smiling right after being accused of hanging a dead body is crazy

I think the unseeable dialogue was due to the website, it doesn't really like long objections so it kinda gets scuffed unfortunately, English is my 3rd language so that might be why the grammar is slightly lacking (there were some phrases I wanted to change but unfortunately it was already uploaded by the time)

This was actually pretty eye opening to realize how Sunny relationship was with his mom. I doubt she actually did stuff like threaten him and wish he died over Mari. But it’s sad to realize that despite how her notes around the house make her seem like she cares for and loves her son, she’s still incredibly neglectful.
honestly him getting community service is probably a good thing because it guarantees that he'll get out of his house for an hour a day for 2 years
This is rly cute, I love all the little details you added to make it clear that this is Dual Destinies-era Phoenix, like AJ's version of the courtroom but with T&T music.
But what about the laptop at the white space
@@maninhu9837 Laptops were largely available to the regular consumer starting in the mid 90s I think. Also smth that's interesting to note that Sunny has a *computer* and NOT a laptop in his room, and considering that if he had both in his house or something and was moving away he'd/his mom'd leave the laptop out and pack away the bulky computer, it's possible the laptop in white space is something he dreamed up bc he wants it in the real world and just doesn't have it

I love how Edgeworth And Wright went full father mode during this trial after hearing how terrible Sunny mom is
Man, I completely forgot about Sunny's negligent mother.
@@missdemeanor608 I can confirm this as someone with experience on that matter.
This is the epilogue I needed after beating Omori. Thank you so much for creating this! Seeing everyone love and take care of Sunny warms my heart

honestly? If anyone were most likely to go to court or get charged with a crime after Omoris good ending; it would be Basil for assault of Sunny with a weapon during their confrontation.
he did?
@@aIyssa. Yes indeed, it happens during *SPOILERS:*
The Good/Bad Ending route, when you sleepover at Basil's house.

This was a great fanmade trial! I absolutely enjoyed it. Though I do understand the circumstances regarding the website you made this on, I do think that Athena would make a great addition to the trial - both as lead defense or defense council - since a big part of this trial correlates to Sunny's psychological state.
