- happy third anniversary, OMORI!
thank you to all the participants and backups! i'm so happy with how the complete map turned out, and im glad that i can end off on such a strong final note. you are all amazing!
i can for certain say i wont be doing another omori map. it's just too much for me, and i cant do it again. lots of editing work went into this and im proud of how it turned out, but man!!! its hard to manage all this!!! it was worth it but still!!! and i also already covered the two main #omori routes, so i think this is a perfect final map! next year, ill probably just do an AMV on my own hehe.

1:54 Something about this scene feels so twisted to me. The headspace versions of his friends looking concerned at the fact that sunny wants to reconnect in the real world, and pulling him back into headspace is so eerie.
If you've played the game, you know why "they" are pulling him back into headspace. Its so heartbreaking when you realize. Its eerie because they're not helping; they're doing the opposite.
Bro SUNNY just wants to get a load of KEL's cool poses, let him go 💀
and notice maris trying to bring him back in the real world

The part starting at 2:37 is probably my favorite. It tells those two's arc during and following the incident symbolically. I like how it connects into him crawling to omori and disappearing. The implication and reinterpretation of how omori shows up and relieves sunny from running anymore.
Just to put salt on the wound. It looks like Mari was trying to pull him towards the door.

I've come to wonder why Omori's weapon is even a knife to begin with. Wouldn't it make more sense for Omori/Sunny to make a music theme to his attacks and moves? Like how Hero's is all based around cooking.
@@EllipsisMark Having it music themed would remind him of the incident, which Omori is trying to not let him do. It's also why Mari never mentions the piano in headspace (despite it being something she loves dearly and is her main hobby), and the only mentions to do with the piano / sheet music are in the lost library and deeper well, which are places which bring him closer to the truth.

holy shit- i felt this entire map in my soul- LIKE THE TRANSITION FROM KNIFE TO BOW AT 1:24 ARE SO GOOD AND I CANT GET OVER THE TREE AT 1:06 FOR SOME REASON
Little things I noticed in the animation without reading comments (some are obvious details but still): 0:12 Sunny/Omori apple like in the game, 0:43 The floating mirror cursed face, 1:10 A flower shaped thing floating that turns into Basil (I'm pretty sure), 1:16 From what it looks like, Basil changes age in this part, 1:34 This scene reminds me of the "I might be stupid" meme (but mirrored & a bit different) even though I'm pretty sure that's not what it's meant to be I thought it would be funny to point out, 1:41 I noticed Sunny becomes paler, 2:02 Kel punches Hero's face, 2:09 a stupid detail to point out, but Hero puts his spatula in his pocket, 2:40 I know this is supposed to be Basil & Sunny but the position he's holding him in looks like how Hero held Basil in the lake scene,

It's actually Sunny's! If you see, it shows as Sunny for 1 second but turns into OMORI after that

I don’t usually like Multi-Animator Projects, I usually find the style switching to be jarring and not good to look at, one kind of sub-par animator can usually ruin the project for me, but this was BEAUTIFUL all the way through. So many talented people here.
I also LOVE the use of the two versions of the songs (original and cover) and how they switch between each other and the original version only plays during silhouette scenes.
2:17 I really like how omori is depicted in this part, the blank stare and the eye bags, it’s not the omocat eyes but still conveys the same emotion if not even better

This song animation feels like a lot of people made it. Like a person made this bit of animation and another animator took job of a bit more of the animation.
I've never played Omori in my life and just know the basic parts of the lore but I just came here to say:
I LOVE how seamlessly all the different art styles as well as music versions transition with eachother! So many people, so many art styles and yet ONE masterpiece. This is a job well done and probs to everyone who worked on this. 👏👏

This is really, really impressive. Like, I dont think I've ever seen a MAP so well executed. I went back and watched the call and storyboard and you can tell this whole thing was just very well thought out and brought to fruition with a lot of heart and effort. An absolute round of applause for everyone involved, great job!
1:49 to 1:57 are my favorite parts because Sunny sees Kel outside of the door, but headspace gang drag Sunny into headapace, and the detail where Mari initially tries to help Sunny, perfect.

GodDAMN Everyone is so talented in this map! If i had to pinpoint a few of my favorite bit (and there is a lot);
Karmasdrawing art style really catched my eyes.
Zoewillowz and madnopost are very impressive, and go very well together back to back. Animating all of these different characters walking in the same frame mustn't have been easy for Zoewillows, and Madnopost expressions are a treat to see.
While being in a simpler artstyle, deadlydoofus fluidity and CAMERA MOVEMENT was fascinating to rewatch.
It was hard to watch Ysther very inspired part without going "holy shit" out loud.
I'm biased on Zntauri because i already saw their work on tumblr and was hooked immediatly, so i can't really say anything... Except that i wish it was longer.
Eboy might be my favorite out of everyone, and i can't even pinpoint exactly *why*. So i won't try, and just hope that they got a tumblr I can follow.
Yuzuvee part was wayyy too short for my liking, but with the amount of care that seems to have been placed on the movement being natural, i can't complain.
Otomerson iiiis... I mean what can i say? His part might as well replace replace the whole "perfection" page on wikipedia.
While a bit lacking in consistency, (which might just be a style choice), SweggyQ seems to have , just like yuzuvee, placed all of his effort on making sure the movements feels natural, and it show.
I could probably go on and on about every artist included, really, everyone was amazing.
If i could find *ONE* fault in this map... It's the mixing of the music, if i were to guess, i'd say it was to preserve the beat of the original to go with the black and white part? But the mixing here is really jarring. I think only using the cover would have been fine. But at this point, honestly, i'm just nitpicking.

What an amazing video. The changing between the two versions of Bad Apple and the animations was just...wow. I didn't think I would enjoy it this much actually haha, even tho It's been quite some time since I played Omori I always find myself coming back to these little videos because they are just so good. Thank all the Artists who worked on this 🙏You really delivered something great his time.

I feel like during the 4 years Sunny was a hikikomori, repeating the same exact dream, he would get bored enough to try to speedrun finishing one loop as fast as possible. I know Sunny doesn't remember the dream he repeats, and that he was probably trying to stay in Headspace with his friends for as long as he can, but I can just imagine Sunny pulling these insane stunts in his dream and trying to defeat all 4 bosses in the shortest amount of time. God I wanna animate something like that now..
