    Personally McLaren really has a chance next season, they have built a strong squad both with two amazing drivers and seeing how they improved drastically over the last seasons it is apparent that they have very competent mechanics as well. Also considering how great the synchronisation between Lando and the current car is it will be continuing towards the next season, with Daniel adjusting more and more.

    Ferrari and Charles Leclerc, they are making the right steps while also giving priority to 2022. The state of the art simulator should be a big help to the team aswell as the drivers. No need to explain the Charles part, that man is allround amazing for me.

      Apparently the cascading testing is only worth one week, so it’s not too significant of a difference. What’s great is that the teams should equalize over the next few years and ideally new engineering talent flows into the rebuilding teams because the top teams are already at full capacity. The real limitation will come with CAD budgeting as the less resources you can spend on modelling the less personnel you can realistically hire

Mediocre driver won't win even in the best car. I have to say there are plenty of excellent drivers this season. Almost too many 😉

  • @danielassuncao8552
    @danielassuncao8552 3 года назад +195

    Before talking about who's gonna be the top team with the new regulations, gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race - I don’t remember what race - he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?

      @MarcinHopa8 3 года назад +1

      I want this to win! 😂

    • @justamanchimp
      @justamanchimp 3 года назад +3

      It's complicated but not too complicated in my view. Once you're used to it, you're used to it. There are way more complicated things to manage than some buttons in todays racing. Realistically, drivers are only really changing diff and brake bias settings on the fly. However, saying this, I do miss the classic cars (pre late 90's) where the steering wheels literally had no buttons. There's something beautiful about it being just you and the car. (I'm saying this like I've driven them in real life, only sim racing unfortunately 😄)
      Overall though, I don't think any of it makes a real difference to the racing except when accidents and/or errors occur with all the buttons and electronics, e.g. Hamiltons "magic" button that he hit accidentally in Baku this year. I can see how that ruins the spirit of racing to a degree.

    • @psyrebro
      @psyrebro 3 года назад +2

      To Niki, driving was like talking or walking; extremely intuitive and it is easy to take things you have mastered to such a level that you do them "on autopilot" for granted, and consider them easy. It is true that all the buttons drivers have today make driving less about strictly intuition but I think it is actually more challenging to be at the top then before because driving mastery is still just as important; driving on your "intuition" actually frees your mind to think about all the buttons and switches which translates to track performance. Of course, driving cars that Niki drove at the top is considered just insane in this day and age because they were so untamed and exposed comparatively, it took some massive balls to push them to the limit.

    Alpine. They have improved so much, their last podium was in 2011 until Danny Ric broke that in 2020. They have improved yearly, and this year in 2021, they have won a race, the car is very stable and the team is brilliant. The team will also have a lot of money due to placing higher then other teams from they points they are getting. They also have a great driver, Alonso, who can power up the car, an example of this is 2014 Ferrari, the car wasn't good, but he somehow gained podiums and beat Kimi in the points. Alonso has also signed for 2022, which gives Alpine A LOT of hope. Ocon is also a great driver, he has skill and a good youngster to race in F1. I feel they will benefit from this and maybe be fighting around 1st and 3rd for the constructors championship in 2022.

    I think it'll be Aston Martin. If you look back at the last few years, Racing Point/Force India was always the team that was spending the least amount of money and they were still pretty good and often even challenged for podiums. Now in 2022 there will be a budget cap so every team is almost spending the same money. If Racing Point/Force India/Aston Martin were always getting good results by spending a lot less, they should theoretically be able to outperform everyone when everyone is spending less money as well. With Seb and Lance they also have the perfected line up consisting of a young, talented driver and a very experienced 4-time world champion. I think they're gonna be the best team with the new regulations (Btw sorry for my bad English sometimes, I'm not a native English speaker).
