    FAQ's:
    -Do I need any special tools to install this product?
    Yes, In order to replace the torsion keys, the torsion bar tension must be relieved with a special torsion bar unloading tool. These tools are easily rented from an automotive specialist store and are also available for purchase from our other auctions. There are several sources that suggest a large C-clamp may accomplish this task as well; however C-clamps pose a risk of slipping off of the crossmember and should not be used.
    -How do I adjust the front ride height of my truck, as stated in your ad?
    Your torsion keys sit on threaded bolts which allow you to customize your truck to the perfect ride height. Our torsion keys offer approximately 2” of lift after installation. One full turn of the threaded bolt will raise or lower your ride height 1/8”, ultimately affording a range of 1” to 3” of lift.
    -What kit should I buy to level my truck?
    The best way to accurately level your truck is to measure the distance from the ground to the top of your front and rear wheel wells. Subtract those two numbers and the difference will be the amount of lift you will need to level your truck.
    -Do I need an alignment after installing this kit?
    Whenever the suspension of a vehicle is altered, it is always recommended to perform an alignment to ensure proper handling and to prevent premature tire wear.

    Any time you install those lift key you must realign your front suspension. Torsion bars do effect your camber angles in your front suspension, usually they create too much positive camber. Also it will change your ride usually a stiffer ride.

    I bought this kit with the 2 inch blocks for my 13 sierra 2500 and it will not level me out as described. My front is still 1 1/4 inch lower than the rear. I've emailed and only got one reply back saying that they are the right keys which obviously they are not

    • @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits
      @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits  5 лет назад

      First off, thanks for reaching out and our apologies for the confusion here. Fortunately, this isn't a very difficult situation to resolve.
      In the world of pickup trucks, ride heights can vary due to optional equipment, drivetrain choices, and vehicle mileage, even between very similar models. That said, we offer a variety of lifting and leveling combinations to accommodate the various ride heights and consumer tastes that are out there.
      That said, the best way to achieve a perfectly level stance is to first measure the stock ride height of both the front and the rear and find the difference between the two, which is known as the vehicle's rake. Again, this rake tends to be unique to each individual vehicle, hence why we offer so many different kits. To fo full level, you need to subtract the vehicle's rake from the amount the front is being lifted to figure out how much you want to lift the rear.
      In your case, the kit is already installed and we need to work out the remaining 1.25" of rake. With a torsion key lift in the front, you're looking at a maximum of 3" of lift so it's tough to go any higher without swapping out the crossmember and control arms. We can, however put a shorter block in the rear to compensate for that rake.
      Before any decisions are made, though, can you tell me if there are lift blocks on the truck that came from the factory?

      Got it. As i mentioned before, the simplest way to fix your rake would be to put a shorter set of blocks in the back. Give us a call at 888-810-6791 and we can go over the best options for you.

      Have you checked the LCA location? Just with anything, the tb's could be rust/or anything else seized.
      Try cleaning off where they meet the LCA and also use a bunch of some penetrating oil.
      Might take some time to get enough of the grime and rust, but this should definitely help you out.

    • @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits
      @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits  3 года назад

      That's rough. I have heard of cutting the keys off, then cleaning up the bar to allow the installation of the new keys. But, that may not work for you if the bar has any kind of twist within the key going on.
      The eaiest overall fix is replace bars and use new keys, but this is also the pricier option. Or you can leave what you have in, but the twist is worrisome.
      Or, you can continue to soak the keys/bars and hope it loosens things up enough to be able to beat them out.
      There are other ideas and suggestion floating about on the web, just gotta look in the right areas.

      Oh, stuck at the LCA, okay, gotcha.
      That changes things a bit, but the process is basically the same:
      Soak it and beat it out.
      I've read of trying to remove it all and using a press, using impact in both directions to break it loose, using heat on the outside so it expands and allows the TB to be removed.
      It is not an easy task, but they will come out at some point.

      Good question! Generally speaking, even if you lift up the factory keys, the ride is going to get a little rougher. That just comes with the territory of having a torsion bar suspension. With our aftermarket keys, the ride quality will still be nice as long as you don't crank them above 3". Also keep in mind that changing the height of the vehicle raises it's center of gravity, so you will have to get used to the way it handles after the lift. I hope this is helpful, and please feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions.

    Is it true that a torsion key lift will put a lot of stress on the torsion bar itself? Also is this a good lift to go off roading?

    • @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits
      @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits  6 лет назад +1

      Yes and no. Your torsion bar is designed to twist, that is how to dampens and rebounds. Our lift keys are the exact same as your stock ones but "twist" the bar a little more, but does not create any EXTRA stress. You do not have to worry about the torsion bar at all. As for offroading, this is one of the best forms of lifts as not only is it adjustable so you can fine tune the ride height but ride quality as well. Since you are not adding a spacer there is no added components that are at risk of breaking. Hopefully this helps, but if you have any other questions please give us a call at 888-810-6791 and one of our techs can answer any question you have. • @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits
      @SupremesuspensionsLiftKits  8 лет назад

      Hey +Bryan Waters and thanks for your interest in our lift kits. Applying shock extenders are somewhat dependent on the make/model/year range of your ride. Normally shock extensions are not required as your stock shocks usually have enough travel. However, if your shocks are over 50,000 miles or have a less than average travel range, then I would suggest getting shock extensions as they are a cheaper alternative to purchasing new shocks.
      We are currently running a 30% off sale for Black Friday, so if you are interested in picking up some extenders, here's our promo code... BLACKOUT30. This will be valid through Monday till midnight.

      Hi there +Billyboy4209! There are quite a few reasons why people install lift kits. It's not just about getting that aggressive look that comes with lifting your truck. You can also install bigger tires, while some lifts kits can increase your towing capacity. Since your vehicle is taller, it's much easier to go off-roading since you have higher ground clearance. With a higher front end, you can comfortably fit a winch, or a snow plow. Plus, it just feels awesome when you pull up to a red light, and you realize just how massive your vehicle is compared to everyone else's. Sounds worth it to me. May I ask what you're wanting to do with the truck? I greatly appreciate your time, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions (1-888-810-6791). Happy to answer any other questions.
      Finally, if you are interested in one of our leveling lift kits, here is our Black Friday Promo for 30% off -- BLACKOUT30. This will be valid until midnight this Monday.
