One of the BEST explained video you can get !! Bravo !!
This is how videos like this should be made. Perfect
Great video, detailed, articulate and explained very clearly!
Hands down the best video about the torsion explained and excellent visual. I thought the torque on that bar setting setoff would be a huge twist. LOL. Now I get it. That torsion bar twist of an 1/8 inch or so lifts the truck. I had no idea until I saw this video before I do this. Thank you so much.
This guy is great takes true pride in what he does for a living. And is very good at it. I think I might use this kit on my pickup
I have bought the suspension Max I am super happy and super impressed with the durability and strength of the product thank you suspension max with the Max cam 2 The ride is awesome, the truck handles the plow better I am super super happy with this product and would highly suggest it to anybody thank you Larry and suspension Max you guys are awesome
Just purchased this.
Excellent product, great instructions
Great video , great tech support.
I’m sold on and highly recommend this product. Engineered properly.
This guy is awesome takes great pride in what he does for a living love it
Such a good and detailed video. you helped me so much on my leveling. Thanks!
Best video I’ve seen on these torsion keys. Just bought the Cam 7. Can’t wait !
Thanks Larry , I talked to you on the phone a week ago and plan on getting the kit for my 2020 2500 Chevy and found a kit you sell for the 2003 Suburban that my son owns ! I sent him your company name and am trying to get him to buy it ! Keep up the good work and will be getting back in touch with you to buy my kit when my tax money gets in !
wow... what a great vidio ,,i felt like i was the one holding the camera and actualy standing there watiching ..super clear explanation ,sond and vidio
Nice job guys , thanks you for the video .
Great video. I put an extra leaf in the 4 pack on each back spring stack to better handle the ballast weight, and I bought a key kit to lift the front up 1.75” for my 2011 Duramax. It holds the 1000lb Western MVP3 pretty well with 1000 pounds of counter weight in the back of the bed.
Awesome video and that’s the exact truck I have except for those factory 20s that I’ve been debating on switching to and the truck in this video really looks good with them.
Great video! All the detail you provided was very helpful.
Good job!! Very detailed video. Thank you!!
Great video. I’ll be ordering this kit shortly.
Great explanation thank you for putting this video out there! I learned a lot!
excellent video...just ordered my kit....thamks
great video, bravo!
Great video, very well explained
This is a beautiful video
Great instructor good job 👍
I bought the leveling kit for my 2008 chey Silverado HD2500. Straight up the best product I have bought in along time!! I first called to ask questions about the product and got people that really knew what they were talking about. the Shipping was super fast and the instructions were written very good. I'm now going to buy one for my dodge after the great service I got with this..
+Brett Carlson Thank you Brett!
I like when a mechanic explains the process and is knowledgeable, wish I could find someone like you or wish I could take my expedition to you.
Great system and great vidieo!!!!!
Great video, thank you so much.
Larry you’re AWESOME!
Damn good looking truck.
Well done 👍
I love how he doesn't mention that torsion bars are linear springs. They should rest slightly on the factory bump stop for a smooth ride. Cranking them up like this means you're in for a rough ride.
Which is probably why he doesn't mention it.
Great video
Great video, I have a 2011 Silverado 2500hd Duramax. This kit seems like a great kit. After installed will there still be okay room on the stock upper control arms . Also will the ride be close to factory of a bit more harsh . ?
Me like it a lot!
Measuring from the wheel hub centerlines upwards to the edge of the fender is better, that way it doesn't matter what tire diameter you have.
I'll just add. You will need an alignment after this. If you plan to do this yourself make sure you start off in a near perfectly level surface or you will end up tightening one torsion bar more than the other to get it level ( you may have to anyways due to the gas tank on one side )
Damn. Very detailed video. 18 people are not mechanically inclined.

Grate vid !!
GREAT video! I've never had a lifted or leveled truck and I just installed a MaxxCam2 on a 2009 Silverado 2500. After adjusting my keys so that I have the approx. 3/8" gap on the upper control arms and the stops my truck ends up being completely level (approx 41-3/4" front and back.) I apologize if this is a dumb question or the answer is obvious to some... when leveling a truck like this does level not really mean "level?" I noticed your leveled ride height after install still has a 1" Rake from back to front... is there a reason or a preference to leave a slight rake versus making the ride height the same from back to front? I realize that if your ride height is the same from back to front and you use your truck for towing/hauling it will cause your truck to rake from front to back... but i'm curious as to YOUR (or anybody else) reasoning. Thanks for your Time!
Good video.
My favorite part is starting from 5:50, buddy breaks out the air chisel and looks into your soul with glee!
I just got my z71 suburban lifted....just one question I lifted all the way up with the torsion key is that safe?
Do the 2007-2013 2500s make good plow trucks? Every plow in my town are on fords.
I have a question I did the leveling kit and for some reason the passenger side is 1” lower than the driver side, any advice?
Thanks. Just what kind air hammer are you used, I want buy one like that, thanks again
At what point of front end lift does Suspension Maxx recommend adding the differential drop spacers? I only want to do 1” or so at both ends.
He kinda rambles a bit but he is very informative! Exactly what I was looking for in a how to video!
Even if you do this, won’t it effect the angle of your ball joint. An cause it to max the flex of it? Upper ball joint I mean.
Dam your a god
So when you say B1 im matching the B on the cog with the 1 on the key? And how do I know which angle to place the key?
What air chisel are you using? I would like to get something similar for my seized torsion keys
I have 09 silverado 2500hd 4x4 crew cab "work truck" with 6.0l and 6L90e. Is it 2.5" higher in back like you said in this video for the duramax? Where do I find the factory default dimensions for this? I have scoured the net with my VIN and make and model and can't seem to find it or even what that dimension is called from ground to fender. Thanks and great video.
0:50 Missed a belt loop
mines were too rusty air hammer did nothing untill i cut a slice on the key then hit it with a 15lbs sledge
i have a 09 2500HD just turned my factory ones up to level it out. Probably all you would have to have done to this one considering these are almost all the way down
I never mess with my bars, they tend to ride like lumber wagons when tightened to much. Anyways great video.
tlt40s&w 70 it doesn’t matter how much you tighten those bars the pressure doesn’t change as the weight of the truck on the front stills the same . The pressure on the bars only changes when there is more weight or less or when the suspension goes up amd down
Where can I find a "spacer kit"?
Previous owner raised the truck, but not with a level kit, with those level spacers. And my front cv shafts have a bad angle on the front. I need the front diff dropped a bit. I don't know much about leveling kits, slowly learning.
Get some washers
So, do these keys provide for better ride quality than using regular lifted torsion keys?
Or is the only benefit the adjustability of the keys?
Kids ..pay attention, this is how to do a show and tell !
How did you get a plow on that d-max. I have a 08 D-Max and every where I go they say no to me.
I have a 2014 gmc 250hd sierra with a wester mvp3 plow. I plan to do the same thing to my truck. However is there away my plow mount will stay the same height for easy loading.
The only way you would be able to drop the plow mount is if you have an adjustable mount with multiple positions.
How thick are the axle spacers
No alignment needed after this ?
I need to do that on chevy 2011
does aftermarket torsion keys really put a load on the front end components? ball joints etc. There are alot of people who are against them because they claim cranking the keys up is very detrimental to the front end..
+Jeremy Stone
The increased ride height will increase the angle on the upper ball joints. But if you set the ride height according to the instructions (1/4- 3/8" gap on upper control arm) the upper ball joints will still have acceptable life expectancy. If you max out the upper control arm on the suspension stop bracket you will have no downward suspension travel and more angle on your upper ball joints. With no downward travel the ball joints are being pounded every suspension cycle. This is why it is critical not to over adjust the torsion bars past 2.5" or past the upper control arm spec mentioned above.
suspensionmaxxman. i gotta 2005 4x4 suburban and i turned my stocked keys all way up if i install the leveling keys will this pick my front up 1.5 inches higher than what i got right?
Can I add this leveling kit to my 8” Fabtech suspension lift on my 08 Sierra 2500?
William Martorelli I don’t know why you would but you could.
How do you call those rims??
I wish the diff drop was this easy on my 2017 Duramax 2 of the top nuts are impossible to get to. A deep well socket is too big and short not long enough.
.3/8" drive flex head with a deep socket works for us
suspensionmaxxman a deep socket won’t fit on 2 of the bolts. Too tall to get the flex ratchet on it
@@BradFizer get a set of mid length sockets, or cut a deep well socket.
So when you put some weight in the back your front end is going to be sticking way the hell up in the air that’s why they designed the truck that way
Wo, what air hammer is that.... I need one
Wish he showed the driverside drop spacers install. Instead of the passenger side. Driverside is harder to get to than the passenger side
What are the specs on that air chisel?
HONSA air tools
Model Number HTP-7X

"We've got GM dealers installing this on brand new pickups". You mean with a factory GM warranty? I have not been able to find ANYTHING about dealerships installing this with GM's blessing, but I sure would like to know more...
Hi, I have a 2012 duramax and it is a much more rough ride than my 2006 duramax. Any tips on what I could do to soften up my ride?
Also your video is very informative, nice job!
Your stiffness is all in the torsion bars. If you crank them up to lift the truck up it will be stiffer. If you loosen the bolts off to drop it down it will be softer. I installed a lift kit in the front them loosened off my torsion bars and it rides like a Cadillac now.
@@cfraser650 Still the same amount of preload in a torsion spring, no matter what your adjustment is.
I'm in for some figuring, I have a 93 Chevy k1500, I bought a 2004 2500hd and swapped in the 6.0 into the 93, swapped the gear in 251c transfer case &used the 4l80e as well. Now I wanting to use the front differential and spindles because they're larger on Duel piston. I've got the differential part figured out, but the spindles are taller, so... I'm wondering if I could loosen the key adjustment to compensate, I don't want the upper a arm to make up the difference because I would lose that travel. Guess I'm going to have to just put it on and see what happens, if it don't work/ Square up, I'll have to modify my front 6 inch lift bracket to be longer at the bottom a arm mount keep the upper and lower equal. Any thoughts 👂👂👂👂
what size are those bf goodriches on that truck..
305x55x20
are those 305s on there now
Yes, the truck featured in the video had 305 x 55 x20s, they were rubbing before we installed the Maxx Cam 3 leveling kit.
No pictures of the cv angles... Wtf
Did those tires rub before installing the leveling kit?
Yes, the 305/55/20 did rub before installing the Maxx Cam leveling kit.
I bet it drove like a covers wagon
This exact kit work for an 08 2500HD?
No, the kit in the video is for 2011-2019 the kit listed below is for 2001-2010

@@whojr1963 I would invest in the A-arms , if you are planning to go 2.5". This would allow for proper downward suspension travel over maxing out the upper control arm against the droop stop. The stock control arm will function but with limited suspension travel and a firmer ride when riding against the bumpstop at 2.5" of lift.
What is the part number on the kit so I can order it?

My truck is a 2008 silverado with a duramax. Do I need those spacers for the shocks? Or just keys?
We include the shock extension for your 2008 2500HD. The shock extension bracket bolts to the lower control arm and replaces the factory shock mount.

Thought suspension lift should be measured at the bottom of the rim not the tyre.
My ride is stiffer than morning wood!
What's the size on those tires? ?
305x55x20 converts to a 33x12.0x20
Does it rub?
No it doesn't rub.
Did those tires rub prior to leveling the truck?
Cost?😅

Hi Kelly,

You don’t measure from the ground Jesus. You measure from the lip of the truck rim. Tire pressure and unleveled ground plays a big part. You’re fired
