I think we talk too much about technical things, vocal ranges and stuff like that. Those are definitely part of the Floor-magic, but it is much more. A nice voice and perfect singing would not be enough to regularly make people cry. Her presence, charisma, enjoy in music, smile, her performance is fascinating. In minutes, or seconds, a humble, nice, quiet woman suddenly turns into a goddess-like person and you simply cannot resist the moment, knowing this experience is very special and meaningful. Then she levaes the stage and becomes again the humble, quiet Floor. And you, you want to experience that moment again and again.

Sharon is another amazing Symphonic Metal Singer, she has a great interpretive ability and that helps her to sing other musical styles (they are the best) however (imo) Floor not only does it better but also when she changes the style she completely transforms including power, spectrum and vocal resources, and that's how she can sing songs like powerful “Ghost Loves Score", a whole Hard Rock album as if it were his specialty (Northward) or this beautiful ballad of Mama

Floor has got one of those voices that could have been successful 25, 50, even 75 years ago. Reminds me of the great singer/entertainers of old. What an amazing voice and presence she has! I also love how open and vulnerable she is with her singing.
I'm beyond surprise when it comes to what this woman can do. Only thing that could surprise me is if she actually failed at something, but i haven't heard her come even close yet. And its not just that she vocally can do anything, it's also the way she seems to grasp the spirit of what she's singing never mind the genre. That's the mark of a true artist.
I believe she has that kind of talent that even if she "fails", she's that quick that I believe she covers that so well no one even notices and is just totally amazed by whatever she covered it up with. This is a masterful performance, from start to finish; from facial expressions, body movement, emotion conveyed, and everything else you can possibly think of. She starts off with the "Softer, Breathier" Floor (I'm gonna copyright that one lol), then goes Full Floor, with the highlight of 1:30 to 1:36 in the middle, then dials it back down at the end. And props to the band for another great arrangement. They all look like they're having fun getting to rock out with her :).
Don't talk about the voice (her extremely gifted voice is well known for all of us) and let's focus on the stunning interpretation!!! Doesn't matter if it's Dutch, German, English or ancient Latin... even Martian. You are able to feel this song (and many others from nightwish) based on her attitude, facial and body expressions, and the vocal variations she use. Magnificent!!!!

Dan liet Floor de honden van haar ouders in Beegden uit. Zij is een erg leuke lieve en intelligente vrouw. En ik ben best trots dat een plaatsgenoot zo ver is gekomen in de internationale muziekindustrie en er zo gewoon zichzelf onder is gebleven!

Sharon is another amazing Symphonic Metal Singer, she has a great interpretive ability and that helps her to sing other musical styles (they are the best) however (imo) Floor not only does it better but also when she changes the style she completely transforms including power, spectrum and vocal resources, and that's how she can sing songs like powerful “Ghost Loves Score", a whole Hard Rock album as if it were his specialty (Northward) or this beautiful ballad of Mama

I mean, as they said in the first episode, while she's relatively unknown in the netherlands, Floor is the Nightwish army's darling (outside of the diehard tarja guys), and pretty much one of the most beloved female metal singers out there (alongside Simone Simons & Sharon Den Adel for the obvious ones)
Samantha is the opposite, while she's relatively known in the netherlands, she plays a very niche genre that's very popular there but not really... "easily exportable" let's say. The original is amazing in its own right

@@The_Pony Yeah, Samantha, Tim, and Henk are my favourite of the lineup (alongside Floor obviously), with Emma not being that far behind. Rolf's genre is one that I don't really enjoy, so I can't really judge ; he does look good at it, though.

I'm beyond surprise when it comes to what this woman can do. Only thing that could surprise me is if she actually failed at something, but i haven't heard her come even close yet. And its not just that she vocally can do anything, it's also the way she seems to grasp the spirit of what she's singing never mind the genre. That's the mark of a true artist.
I believe she has that kind of talent that even if she "fails", she's that quick that I believe she covers that so well no one even notices and is just totally amazed by whatever she covered it up with. Or if it's a risque style choice, her confident stance makes everything justified and magnificent 😂

This is a masterful performance, from start to finish; from facial expressions, body movement, emotion conveyed, and everything else you can possibly think of. She starts off with the "Softer, Breathier" Floor (I'm gonna copyright that one lol), then goes Full Floor, with the highlight of 1:30 to 1:36 in the middle, then dials it back down at the end. And props to the band for another great arrangement. They all look like they're having fun getting to rock out with her :).

I think Floor's greatest talent is her emotional performance. She's not afraid to go beyond the point of return.
Don't talk about the voice (her extremely gifted voice is well known for all of us) and let's focus on the stunning interpretation!!! Doesn't matter if it's Dutch, German, English or ancient Latin... even Martian. You are able to feel this song (and many others from nightwish) based on her attitude, facial and body expressions, and the vocal variations she use. Magnificent!!!!

Floor is naast een fantastische zangeres ook een zeer fijne persoonlijkheid. Ik woon zelf in Beegden, en kwam haar wel eens tegen als ik met de honden ging wandelen. Dan liet Floor de honden van haar ouders in Beegden uit. Zij is een erg leuke lieve en intelligente vrouw. En ik ben best trots dat een plaatsgenoot zo ver is gekomen in de internationale muziekindustrie en er zo gewoon zichzelf onder is gebleven!

I've been following you for a while and I'm very proud of how you perform with Nightwish. As a former musician from the former Tilburg music scene with Henny Vrienten and others, I am very interested in how our "descendants" are doing in the music world. But what you perform as a somewhat shy girl with Nightwish borders on the incredible. Such a shame that you are not that known with Nightwish in NL. Hopefully your performance at "De Beste Zangers" will change that, because what you show there (in all your modesty) is great class !! Als oud-muzikant uit de vroegere Tilburgse muziek-scene met oa Henny Vrienten ben ik erg geïnteresseerd hoe onze "nazaten" het doen in de muziekwereld. Maar wat jij als toch ietwat verlegen meisje presteert met Nightwish grenst aan het ongelofelijke. Zo jammer dat jij met Nightwish in NL nog niet zo bekend bent.
