I don't even think she's trying to steal the show. She is that talented, and has that much charisma that it happens naturally.
And from what I have heard (I am so sorry that I have yet to meet her personally), she is also very grounded and real, down-to-Earth, humble and sweet. Wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake? :)
@Johan Agreed. I only found out about Floor's burnout a little over one year ago (had not been following NW for some time, obviously). I am SO GLAD that Nightwish asked her to perform with them when she NEEDED some reassurance that she would be able to sing again! She needed that confidence back and Nightwish needed a Female vocalist. Win/ Win.
That is not saying that Marco doesn't cut it; THAT GUY is also AWESOME! It's just that Nightwish has always been meant as a Female-Fronted band. I LOVE that everything worked out, even if the going was so rough all the way around for some time! :)

What in my mind is equally impressive , is the person she is. She is just “one of the guys”, gives respect to everyone, even though she is the center of the show, she doesn’t feel the center. Floor is an amazing person. Floor has the ability to create a team, a unity. That is why Nightwish live is better then ever, that is why in Beste Zangers she is part of the whole show, not a world-star feeling better then everyone else. She makes everyone around her feel special. Oh, and then there is her voice.

Nightwish never really resonated with me until I saw the 2013 performance of G.L.S. about a year ago. I was floored with how perfect a fit she was and how she brought their music to an emotional level the previous singers didn't do IMO. Not that they weren't great but Floor.... should be a huge worldwide star!!

This made me choked up, because I was born with hydrocephalus and spina bifida, both conditions are highly dangerous and most babies who are born with it won't make it, one of my older brothers had it too, worse than me and he only lived 9 months, I was and still am very lucky to be here 31 years later, my mom always calls me her miracle child, and how I'm a winner in so many levels.

@@plastikk12 Thanks for the reply Matt, it's now been just over a week since i found Floor & nightwish & i still have only touched the surface with this incredible band, my favourite so far is Ghost love score, what a song & floor Jansen.... from operatic to growly metal voice in the click of a finger are you kidding me, i've never heard anything like it & i bloody loves it. Beste Zangers showed me that Floor Jansen, Spanish German English opera pop rock metal there is nothing this girl can't do goose bumps tears the lot, Floor you have not just become my favourite singer, you are probably the best singer our planet has ever seen & Matt it's an honour & pleasure to become one of the Nightwish army.

@@alanriches1343 You're very welcome. A typical Nightwish album really is a roller coaster ride, there's everything under the sun in there. I'll happily listen to an album and let my five year old daughter dance along to it, she absolutely adores Floor Jansen but will tell you that Annette Olsen is her friend too. Give Imaginarium a try, it's an incredible album.

Tim's brother was a colleague of mine at an insurance company. Cheerful positive man. Never grumpy as far as I could tell. He can certainly be proud of this brother. And vice versa.
Floor made it quite clear that she loved the song and I think this was the moment when Tim realized just how powerful his song, his words were. A case of a terrific song and a brilliant singer coming together to create pure magic.

I read a reply the other day, from a United States Marine Corps veteran, age 60+ who admitted that there is only one person in the world, who can make him break down, and that is Floor.
So.. if she can break the toughest, hardest men... then dont bother trying to prevent crying, because its impossible.
She brought tears to my eyes again as well, and i am leaning towards 50 yrs of age.
And there is no shame in crying when something is that beautiful, quite the opposite, one should be ashamed, if they wouldnt feel anything when she sings.

I never consider to watch netherland tv show on youtube. But because of Floor Jansen I accidental found this show. Floor Jansen is well known in my country in metal society, but not in common. Rest of singers on the show are absoulute unknown here. Thanks to Floor i watched all episodes of this programme and all performances of the other singers. Floor Jansen deserves honor in the Netherland, how she represent her country abroad.
Oh! That soft ending caught me by surprise! I think this is my favourite performance of hers! It got me caught up in my emotions, and so excited at the same time! And she really got the rest of them involved with the hand waving!
I have to say her growls are in the right places, her belting was glorious with that vibrato, her soft tones were in the right places. So much emotion… Just perfect! So much energy!

Gisteren in het buitenland, dus op mijn telefoontje in mijn hotelkamer op mijn telefoontje, dit RUclips-clipje, al gekeken naar Floor. Nu thuis, op mijn bovengemiddelde Hi-fi-set, de hele uitzending gezien. Dit programma is gewoon niet normaal, zoveel oprechte Liefde als daar in zit. Kunnen de super troupers nu eens op die band gericht worden? Ze zijn allen zo onwaarschijnlijk goed! Die drummer, immer zo strak en droog meppend! Allen zijn ze zo goed, je ziet ze genieten! Vorig seizoen leverde al zoveel moois, met die knallende “Loose Yourself”, “Het duurt te lang” en het omverblazende “Zeg me wie je ziet” van Trijntje. Maar nu dit seizoen. Ik kende geen van hen, dus nogal sceptisch ten opzichte van 2018. En nu houd ik van ze, wat een geweldig 2019! En dan Floor. Zoals gezegd, zag ik gisteren op RUclips al het liedje op mijn telefoontje. Nu de hele uitzending, met de inleidende woorden. Pfff, volgens mij heb ik zojuist ons Songfestival-nummer gehoord. Bijna niks meer aan veranderen. Op één woordje na, dat die nu nog ontbreekt. “Trots”. Zo mooi als hij dat beschreef, de wederzijdse trots met zijn grote broer. Nu heeft Mojo concerten aangekondigd van Floor-solo. Dat zijn er te weinig, daar komen nog meer concerten bij. Lijkt me logisch. En Tim zegt dat hij niet kan huilen, wie houdt hij nu voor de gek? Mooie Liefdevolle gast.

Hi Floor, I would like to thank you for this song "Winner", this song means more than the world to me. My father also was in a wheelchair since the age of 16 and passed away at 63. The first time I heard the song was on Beste Zangers by chance... So when I watched the episode and saw why Tim wrote the song and when you sang it for him, I cracked, I cried like the day of my father's funeral. He was a winner and always will be in my eyes and heart, he accomplished more in his life than normal able body people does. Thank you again... this song is like an anthem to me now, the meaning behind it, the emotion and positive energy... Bloody amazing... well done

Now with the extra fairy magical interpretation of the best and most emotional female singer of today, Floor, it's truly one of the best songs I've heard for a long time. Actually since Endless forms most beautiful album has been released some time back, haha It's quality music with a meaning and a beautiful story behind. Thanks to Tim for his emotional writing and explaining his struggles and hard times in life on the sofa. I think it's not easy to share something personal like this. I think this separates this show from a lot of the others I've seen so far. I'm from Switzerland so we have a lot of this German shows which are similar like "Sing my song" but they went never this far and were never this private like this show. Great Job!

@@noridzwannordin6416 How cool is that! Monolith of Doubt was also the first ever song I've heard from her (and After Forever) and it got me hooked. Since then I've never fallen out of love with her voice and she also became one of my favourite singers!
Back in October 2019, I was going through a difficult emotional time in my life, this song helps me a lot, it didn't make the pain disappear but it gave me a reason to keep fighting.

I listen to everything she sang and what I can find from the moment I heard her at London Nightwish concert for the first time a year ago. Floor is a treasure that humanity has never had before. She is extraordinary, I love her voice, her personality, charisma, style and everything she presents. She is the most complete singer with a magic voice I've ever heard of. I can't wait to see her live again and of course the next concert in London will definitely go to see. She is the best of the best, Angel on Earth.

There are many good singers but they are not good performers and there are many good performers with limited singing abilities. Floor belongs to the top in both dimensions, that makes her so special, so good. No suprise that lot of us compare her to Freddy. She also does magic on the stage.
