As long as you take care of your tm hicapa, it will last you a good amount of time. Metal slides will add more wear but not to the point where it will affect it negatively, like I said in the beginning, if you take care of these tm hicapas, they will last you a very long time
That is truly up to you, statistically speaking the 5.1 has a lot more options than the 4.3 in terms of slide/rear sights. But its up to you, both are equally fun and come with different aspects (4.3 being compact etc)

They sure are damn good, worth every cent, similar companies to Prog4 if you want more options would be Gunsmith Bros, ProHandGun, Davidson Customs (DC has the most 4.3 options on the market)
It is really up to you, the Firefly recoil buffer is definitely nice feeling so is a Shooter Design 150%. What I would focus on is the actual recoil guide rod, you want the smoothest possible guide rod to insure smooth action. Mirror finish, stainless steel, etc. PDI has a really good one, Nine Ball, and AIP. Those are the only ones I've tried though. Up to you in the end! Hope that helps! :P

They are very close to drop in slides, lot easier than the Guarder ones thats for sure. ProHandGun is the same as Prog4/GSB, so forth. Just hand rack em and you are good

i dont know if u knows this today but gaurder alu slide and AIP outer barrel works great!!!! gaurder is the cheapst here in DK tho but still i got 1 4.3 og 1 5.1 both with guarder slide and AIP alu outer and they work great! i will say a great deal for the money here and didint even need to do ANY fitment :) all that said love your vids we need more hicapa vids XD
I dont have the barrel right now, can't find it :/ but I wouldn't make a video with it anyways, I'm really not that kind of accuracy testing type of guy (I leave that to the experts on the forums!), I just get it done on the field with actual play time which I've played with for a long time..great barrel, just try it out for yourself, you won't regret it :)
You could always just save up, which would be worth it in the long run, but if you don't want to wait, KJW stock wise is a bit better than the WE hi-capa. Wouldn't be worth truly upgrading or pouring money into though if you are thinking long term for the Hi-Capa.

Cost effective, would realistically be investing in a nice aluminum slide, they will last you a life time, but if you want to buy plastic slides, you can buy the SAPH ones via ehobbyasia and just replace them when they break. If you do decide to get a slide, let me know I can help direct you to a good one! ^_^
No sorry, but what I can tell you is I am working on 3d printing hi-capa slides myself. So if its successful I'll be creating some ABS slides for the 4.3/5.1 platform.

Im planning on getting a PDI 6.01 tbb and a blue Prometheus bucking (VSR type). Sound good? Im looking for more range and accuracy. My TM 5.1 out of the box, with the hop up turned all the way up I barely get any hop. Im using elite force .25g bbs. I cleaned, relubed, and bent the "L" shaped metal piece in the hop up assembly a little more to increase pressure. Helped my bbs have more hop, but I still have the hop up turned up 100%. Ive herd people usually have their hop up on about 50-60%. 1. Will a PDI 6.01 tbb and a blue Prometheus bucking (VSR type) be beneficial. 2. What bb weight and brand do you recommend. 3. Thank you for your time :) 4. With the PDI 6.01 tbb and blue prometheus bucking bring my fps above 350? I need to stay at 350 or below. Also, my back sight popped off mid game, the small black spring that is hidden underneath the back sight became horribly bent. I can't find the part number for a replacement. Now my 5.1 won't lock back when out of rounds. Also the air nozzle moves forward into the ejection port where a real shell would eject. Any suggestions? THANK YOU for this video.

I wanted to ask you if the metal slide is suppose to stop against the metal outer barrel. It looks like it hits it in the middle of the slide (Where the hole is). Also wanted to ask you if it is normal when pulling back the slide that the air nozzle stays attached to the inner barrel for a bit and then if you push back the slide a bit more it disconnects as normal. And last question is.. The outer barrel in the from looks to have dark lines from what it looks like the metal slide paint. is this normal? The pistol shoots pretty well and still a bit hard but should losen .

I just got my first Hi-Capa today, so hopefully I wont have to replace anything for a while, but my friend had his nozzle break pretty fast on both his (maybe we are using stronger gas here on Sweden), so I thought it would be a good idea to prepare. Do you have any recommendations for nozzles?
my favorites are guarder, airsoft surgeon, shooter design and kjw red nozzle. I probably use guarder the most for the hicapas. There used to be a pretty good one by WE, a desert tan loading nozzle but haven't seen those in a long time.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you use a Tanio Koba twist barrel, would you not use any hop? I mean if you have backspin and the bb is also spinning sideways, it would be extremely inaccurate. Also I like the 4.3 better than the 5.1, due to general length and the look of a stock 4.3. Is it worth the hassle to have less upgrade options if I go with the 4.3? And is there a tk twist barrel for 4.3's?

But I actually have a video on reaching high FPS, I'd suggest checking that out, but to answer your question, probably a hybrid slide by any of the well known companies, 7inch pdi, maple leaf bucking, and a prime bbu.

Hey, nice video. I have been debating on getting a hi-capa or 1911. I decided to get a hi capa and ordered the WE 4.3 Stainless Steel Hi-capa off of evike.com. I've heard good and bad things about it. I would've gotten a TM hi capa but they were too pricey. My first question is, can I use these upgrades on a WE hi capa, and secondly, when buying a tightbore barrel or bucking or housing unit or spring or ANY OF THOSE TYPE OF INTERNAL UPGRADES, can you use them in a 4.3 and a 5.1 WE hi capa, like, are there specific lengths for the tightbore barrel. Can I use the nine ball tightbore barrel 60.0 or 60.3 in a 4.3 WE Hi-Capa?
Ethan Mercado you might need some fitment and you can use anything but its just gotta match the lengths, so just be sure to read details. 4.3 is smaller than 5.1, 97mm barrel vs 113mm barrel etc.
Alex Bwavert Hi Alex, the reason for using propane is mainly cost vs performance. -Co2 will shoot the hardest but is not cheap or efficient -Propane smells badly is very cheap and performs quite well -green gas performs well but is decently expensive and -duster gas is cheap but will not perform nearly as well Hope this helps! -Cayden

Up to you, only thing I can say about the 6.01-6.00 is they will give you the most fps not, the twist barrel
Its basically a short stroke kit to reduce the length it goes, to increase the cycle speed of the slide, Nine Ball has a kit similar to it

They will work on 4.3 frames, as for websites, my top websites are (but this is my personal experience) TMC, WGC, A-Airsoft, Boomarms, KIC.tw.

Yes, the masterpiece slides are very nice, I think they may actually be the same oem as gsb, they're nice slides either way tho

Since changing the recoil and hammer spring (AIP 140%), my pistols slide fails to lock back when the mags empty. Any advice?

Liam Goldbacher kjw is not 1:1 with TM or WE, wouldn't really upgrade the KJW, its pretty good stock

Can I trust the Airsoft Masterpiece Infinity Slides to be a drop-in?
Can you tell me if the Gunsmith Bros compensator (AR1968) will fit on a Airsoft masterpiece outer? Also, is it a big issue different brands of outer/slide (gunsmith bros and airsoft masterpiece)?

Well I am selling all of my stuff and just grabbing one gun for playing with friends instead of the big fashion show that Airsoft became. So maybe I will use that money towards a tm and a new slide once the plastic one breaks. Thanks for the reply!

I know you said to match brands, but is have been looking for an airsoft surgeon outer barrel for a while on redwood and I can't find one. Any suggestions for a different outer barrel or should I just wait.

no UAC is very nice. 5ku angel custom i dont like. guarder has some good products
I wouldn't upgrade anything at all, just play with it til it breaks and then replace whatever broke and maybe upgrade fps if you want to
