We just bought a 2023 Wagoneer L Series 3. The day we signed papers on Monday and had to wait to officially own the vehicle Tuesday, because we moved funds from a market account and it took a day to clear to the new account. We were able to drive the vehicle home Monday, even though the deal wasn’t officially completed. Upon driving home, our Brake pedal started to make a squeaky/bagpipe air down sound every time we pressed on it. Shortly after the Check Engine light came on. We notified the dealer right away and they told us to leave the vehicle with them Tuesday and they would get everything looked over. We borrowed another similar Wagoneer while they had ours for a week. That Wagoneer had no issues. We got ours back and were told the brake pedal sound is hit or miss with the new system in the 2023. The CEL was a random knock sensor code and all checked out normal. They flashed the system with 2 updates while it was in service and how the Ventilated seats stopped working and the easy exit seat stopped working. Other issues range from kick to open rear hatch not working properly to the driver door handle not opening the door. We are waiting to see what all can be fixed with software and what can’t. We’ve only had possession of it for a few days in the last 2 weeks. 😂 Not ok for a vehicle we have almost $100k into after taxes and extended warranties.
The auto manufacturers are adding too many sophisticated features to these vehicles & the Technicians who fix them have no training on these systems. Brand new vehicle & having check engine lights is a horrible start to ownership. I like to work on my vehicles myself so keeping it simple is really appreciated.
It's a software issue. The only thing you can do is revert it back to a prior version or wait until Jeep pushes out an update. Welcome to car ownership in 2023 where you get random software updates you don't ask for while you're sleeping.
After just traveling from Michigan to Florida and back to Michigan in my grand Cherokee overland, if I couldn’t adjust my driving position once in a while it would be a killer on my body. This would be big deal with me!
Has not anybody ever noticed that the Wagoneer does not say Jeep on it, no emblems, not even on the steering wheel like all Jeeps. Why is that, I want people to know it's a Jeep
Interesting.. My comment keeps getting deleted. Wonder why, because this video is giving out false info.. Sure you have an issue, I get it.. But don't make it out like there's no fix. There is an ongoing recall campaign for this issue and it is a software fix that is done to the steering column module and takes 20 minutes. No electrical issues, just a software glitch on some builds. But I get it, need to make it all dramatic to get clicks and lights and views.
No there’s no fix to my issue currently. Literally was told we would have to leave it so they could trouble shoot it because they didn’t know what was causing it. Pay attention Gomer. I’m telling you what the dealership said to us. They couldn’t fix it when it was there. SMFH

I’m having a ton of little issues with my 2022 Jeep Gladiator 😢
Happens with every first model year of a new production run. This is how we iron out the final kinks.
Just took my 2023 for check engine light, no backup camera, service parksense. All this after I program my garage door opener to the vehicle.
Check for recalls on anything u buy!Its under Warranty!!

Well if Stellantis is updating the software you would think they tested out all the functions to make sure they didn't break anything code wise. 🤔

First model year issues... What do you expect?
Have you finally realized that it is unwise to buy the first model year of a new production run?
You stoopid muppet lmao
@@mmm-mq3zr Didn't have ANY issues with my 2016 Mazda MX-5 that came out in 2016. 🤔

Where is the OBD port on these? I am on a trip and I want to see what codes it’s throwing.
