Thank you :) The power trunk lock included with the kit works with the same wiring the OEM lock works with. However a power trunk module has to be also fitted to the car in order for all this to work.

If your car came without a button on the inside of the trunk you will need to cut a hole with the provided stencil and then fit the button that came with the kit.
Yeah I'm not sure. I have the comfort access kick, but I'm pretty sure I don't have a power trunk that will close on its own. If other people are like me there's literally no reason to get this retrofit if you already have the comfort kick. Still a cool kit though.
Hi, I have a 2018 MINI Cooper CountryMan F60 and recently retrofit a SmartTrunk Opener/OEM TailGate KICK sensor into my car.The module of the sensor has 3 wires with one each connecting to the 12v & Ground & the last to ?LIN bus.I am not sure what this LIN module wiring is and where exactly the Signal wire from the Kick sensor is supposed to connect to.Can U help me with this retrofit project, please?. Thanks.

It should be doable, but the trunk lid line is slightly different than F30. We haven't tested it yet though, but considering every part, you should be able to install. Beware our return policy though :)

Thanks, it will depend on your vehicle. Sometimes it will require replacing your stock latch and sometimes only the wiring.

Does it work with confront access? I mean can you open and close the trunk when you swipe your foot under the rear bumper? Thx
Yes, the kick feature is included but only if you have comfort access.

Do u have to remove both left and right springs? Or only to replaced the RHS spring?
You will have to just take out the spring you are replacing with the actuator.
So it is only to take out the spring that i am replacing it with actuator.. and the other side will remain as it is (the original spring). Am i correct?
