DO NOT use the cardone reservoir. The hose connections on these use an adhesive alone and no heat to connect to the reservoir and will break when connecting the hose. Near every one we have seen replaced has either broke or leaked. You are way better off cleaning out your stock one with brake cleaner over replacing. If replacing it’s one of the parts that’s just simply worth either getting the factory part or replacing with a billet part.
Thank you for reaching out Ian! I was not aware, but after looking at the construction of the hose fittings they aren't all 1 piece. I thankfully still have the OEM once so I'm going to clean that up and keep it on standby in case this fails. I think some may crack that fitting when using force to put the hoses on. I lubricated them with the ATF, so hoping it didn't make a crack. I'm going to pin this comment so that others can see and I'll do a follow up on what ends up coming from the Cardone one.
No kidding dude! 😁 If you were watching the video at 14:16 I explain that we'll be doing a OEM headlight build in the near future. So these old cracked yellow lights will be gone soon!
You're gonna regret gettin that Cardone reservoir. The cap doesn't sit right. It's gonna start spittin fluid. It's complete sh*t. Use your OEM cap until you order a OEM reservoir.
Hey Derek, thank you for reaching out and informing me of this issue. I saved my OEM one, so I'll use that in the mean time if this one cracks. At the end of the day I should have just gone OEM on this part.
